This was a great video to watch! To me, craftsmanship is craftsmanship, the CNC machine does not have a mind of its own, it has to be programmed to realize a vision, just as work done by hand is realizing a vision, and that neck is beautiful! And I'm pleased to see you put in carbon fiber reinforcing rods, to me, they should be standard on all guitar necks, not just for a bass neck. Sometimes, even with a bigger chunk of wood, it's hard to get a truss rod adjustment right on a guitar neck. Keep up the great work!
I'm about venture into the CNC world to do just this, make guitar neck and bodies. Weird thing is the song in the background. I'm in my music studio watching the video and I turn around and on my music stand is this song. Kind of cool I think.
Interesting video, I feel that CNC is definitely the way forward, as is roasted Maple, multi-scale, headless necks. Let machines do the boring, repetitive operations, it frees the mind to improve and innovate.
Very illustrative video, thank you. It's not so much a problem to buy a suitable CNC router and create 3D models, as it is to buy additional small machines: grinder, planer, drill, planer... and then have room for all that! This is a job I would like to do, but apart from the money for a great CNC, I can't afford the rest listed, and I wish I coul
I’m getting ready to cnc my own neck soon. I wonder if you could cut your truss rod channel, flip then cut back of neck, flip, glue on fretboard blank and then cut all of your inlays, fret slots, and radius as well as your headstock That way you wouldn’t have to worry about making a pocket in your table for your fretboard blank. Only problem you might have is the middle of the neck being unsupported during the fretboard cutting
If you use fusion 360 you can add tabs These tabs can be numerous and thick enough to support the neck. Always use the same size stock, and your zero position in the same place and you can flip the piece infinite times. When it is finished, cut the tabs
Great work! How did you accommodate the fretboard excessive height when you flipped the blank over to route the neck profile? Do you have a “negative” board routed? Thanks!
Very nice video, nice neck. What's your stepover on the finishing passes on the back of the neck?? Just curious. Is the matl maple or something else?? thanks
Can I ask what software you are using for your workflow? I'm assuming CAD of some sort and something to program the tool paths and actual milling based on the CAD.
Isn't quarter-sawn + trussroad + carbon fibber overkill? I have a quarter-sawn maple neck and the part of the neck that's screw to the body won't move at all, and it gives me a reversed ski jump. Sometimes, a flat-sawn single-piece maple neck is good as long as it has enough material to avoid warping.
Wow....Oceans....Where my feet may fail.....great tune
I came here to see if anyone else had commented...
indeed
I still love this song. It never gets old t me.
This has to be one of the best process videos! (m about to make my first neck... your work is inspiring!

Beautiful!
THAT is a thing of beauty.

Very nice work. Also enjoyed the soundtrack

Nice nice work ! Thanks for the video.
That’s awesome I want one
Hats off sir! What a nice work! :)
amazing. wow
nice work
Perfect!
Magnificent

I hear that your accompanying music is the Christian song 'Oceans'. Very nice!
Awesome video! How did you glue the fretboard to the neck after placing the truss rod and carbon fiber rods so precisely? Thanks!
Beautiful work! And a great background song. Love Hillsong. How would you install the truss rod on this?
素晴らしい👍
I also own a Shop Sabre would you share tips for cutting necks and blanks?
Hi, could you tell me which strawberries you used for the contour radius of the fretboard and fret groove
Which watts spindle force do you recommend for making electric guitar necks and bodies? 300W, 500W? Or niether them? Above 500w?
do you have a video on how to use a cnc machine to build a guitar for beginners ?
Great work cnc machine In the year 2525🎶🎶
Is that Oceans?
what are the minimum specs for a spindle to cut guitars, in your opinion
I’m getting ready to cnc my own neck soon.

Sweet! Did you download that file somewhere or draw it out yourself?
Also, loved the music brother.
You guys should sell build kits
Hi, are you able to share the make and model of the machine and can it make an acoustic guitar neck?
Curious on how many hours to complete?
Great work! How did you accommodate the fretboard excessive height when you flipped the blank over to route the neck profile? Do you have a “negative” board routed? Thanks!
Correct, I made a pocket for it. But the board has to be wide in order to have some material to support it self
Is there program that I can use for making my own?
Truss rod???
wow !!!!!!!!
How long did the nc program take?
это невероятно, однозначно лайк, вы можете поделиться данной 3d моделью?
Very nice video, nice neck. What's your stepover on the finishing passes on the back of the neck?? Just curious. Is the matl maple or something else?? thanks
Hey Joe, step over is 0.01” with a 1/2” Ballnose
Now that's awesome but how did u get the truss Rod in? U just install it when the hole was done then flipped the neck?
Fingerboard and main neck are two separate pieces.
See 0:27
Great work! What Cnc machine/program are you using? could similar results be achieved with a diy hobbyist machine?
I used Rhino for CAD and RhinoCam for CAM
Can I ask what software you are using for your workflow? I'm assuming CAD of some sort and something to program the tool paths and actual milling based on the CAD.
I used Rhino for CAD and RhinoCam for the tool paths
Is this homemade cnc machine?
Wondering what type of bit is used for the fret slots?
0.7mm Upcut bit
Do you sell projects?
top queria g-code de contra baixo?
What Cnc machine is that

where can i find cnc files for this guitar neck model?
That’s so funny I noticed the oceans song immediately hahahaha are you Christian? 😊
How many hours or minutes does it usually take for the cnc to shape, let's say, the back of the neck?
Bravo. Can you send me the file. Greetings😂😎
I got wood from watching this vid
When and how did you put in the truss rod?
so how do you get the truss rod in there? do you have to drill it out by hand?
What machine is this?
How much did it cost?
Is it easy to program?
Do you need to connect it to a laptop?
What do you do about the truss rod?
so nice but, where the truss rod will be embedded
I came here to ask this too
it's a 2 piece neck in other words he glued the fretboard on
What about the truss rod slot?
