Telepathy is not something to be taken lightly. It is easier to turn it on than it is to turn it off.
Some people may not know if they are experiencing genuine telepathy or simply "hearing things"- and honestly, both of those can be very unpleasant or even dangerous.
Seek mental health if you are hearing thoughts or voices.
