Thanks this really worked! After the last update my old laptop was really slow. Tried a few things to speed it up but nothing made much difference. Until this. Laptop's not running good as new but it's significantly faster now. I mean it is pretty old so i wasn't expecting miracles, but the result is better than I'd hoped and it was really easy to do this thanks to your clear instructions. Liked and subscribed. Thanks again!
thank you so much! I know nothing about computers and needed. to make a bit of space for BMW software, which allowed enough space!! It's so easy to follow.
It's because we can't access to some files because the developers may think we will delete important files instead of cache so they disgned this application so it will run and it will delete only "cache"
I just cleared and will see how it performs now... but after I cleared if you stay watching the RAM ...it continues to rise and rise again and after just a few minutes its almost back to where it was before?
Clearing the RAM cache is often seen as unnecessary or even counterproductive because modern operating systems, like Windows, macOS, and Linux, are designed to manage memory efficiently. They use free RAM to cache frequently used data, which speeds up system performance. When you clear the cache, you're forcing the system to reload that data from slower storage (like the hard drive or SSD) the next time it's needed, potentially slowing down processes. The cache will automatically free up memory when applications require more RAM, so manually clearing it doesn’t usually provide any lasting benefit. In fact, it can lead to temporary performance degradation.
Caching is done differently in other systems, and is much more efficient than in Windows. Where everything under the SUN caches through the very inefficient drive cache, and every task must be routed by drive cache and moved to a fixed address for execution; within Windows, it is handled differently in other systems. Other systems run tasks in the memory they loaded into. Big difference in basic performance. But also if there is sufficient ram, the whole thing runs in ram, instead of everything running in cache like in Windows. 5 UNIX 17 LINUX... pick one. All are designed to install on Wintel hardware. They are mostly FREE!
THANK YOU THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO MUCHHH BECAUSE MY LAPTOP IS LIKE GLITCHING BECAUSE IT USED UP SO MANY GB IT WAS 4.7 GB AND NOW IT'S 149 MB THANK YOU😭😭😭😭
Much of your free RAM goes to storing the most recent read blocks from the storage device (hard drive, SSD, etc.) Once you hit your limit, your system slows down a bit because it has to make choices about which stored blocks from the drive get ejected from RAM to make room. Blocks that are frequently used are given priority, while a block that you never read again can and will get removed from RAM based on age or size. This is by design and useful -- in pretty much every operating system, including Linux. There are times when clearing the cache makes perfect sense. But most of the time, it will just cause more wear and tear on your drive.
When I downloaded the Microsoft RAMMAP files... it also came up with two 64 bit versions... so what is the difference between the regular RAMMAP and the RAMMAP-64 version? I have a newer 64 bit PC running on Windows 11 The next time I do this CACHE CLEANING, should I still use the regular RAMMAP... or go for the RAMMAP64 or the RAMMAP64a version? I noticed that the 64 versions did not appear in your video, when you did your download of the RAMMAP exe files Thanks for your help.
there are two Operating System 32 bit and 64 bit, 64 bit more advanced and high processor than 32 bit, you said you have 64 then you can use 32 or 64 as you like, both works, but if you have 32 bit then you need to use regular ram map
Bro ty that first ved help me after 1000 but i still got problem that when i open game or wep 200mb it go 41 again im 8 giga ram so if any one know what shoud i do?
no, to double check, open task manager after restart, ram cache should still be low. The cache does accumulate after a few months, so make sure to do this method once every 6 months. welcome!

Why do I need to download anything to delete my cache?
It's because we can't access to some files because the developers may think we will delete important files instead of cache so they disgned this application so it will run and it will delete only "cache"
The file size is 671kb not 671 gb😑
