The designer reminds me of people I have not liked in my lifetime for some reason. But while I liked the way the room looked previously and winced as the purple and green went up, in the end I saw the vision and appreciated the new design. Well done, strong designer.

Wow. That is one FUGLY makeover. I wouldn't let that chick decorate my place if you paid ME. Red and purple couch? Purple wood beams? WTF? Bits and pieces are fine, but so much of that is SO WRONG. However the behind the scenes stuff was quite fascinating, IMO.
The outside red door and the landscaping was the only good thing about the makeover The inside had too many colours and patterns (wallpaper, fabrics, paint) that made me uncomfortable. I am sorry but the before was better than the after.

hey whoah whoah whoah, property brothers is and entirely DIFFERENT kind of show all together! It's about spending and getting a beautiful home on a budget. Honestly i do not prefer these kinds of renovations because the family didn't need to buy anything, they had ample amounts of money to do WHATEVER the heck they wanted too, which leads viewers to believe these things are affordable when they aren't. I'm sorry i just love property brothers! 😋
I would have done a lighter much more pale green for the wall colour, their original dark brown couches and white and turquoise pattern pillows along yellow & aqua solid pillows, and put a turquoise pattern on the ottoman and a white and dark brown zebra area rug and a silver tile to match the lamps on the fire place instead of the green tile.
I'd really love to see how this "sterile" living space looks like after just one week with that kid! at the beginning I thought they'd make a home for a family not for a single! I wouldn't say it's a home for a kid - except the pics on tha walls.....and yes you're right the "designer" is just annoying!

Some good ideas but it does not look like it was professionally thought out and crafted... using family fotos for art makes it too personalized for my taste.. The ugly pea green was to be an accent wall, she made it the whole room. Red couch, was she thinking Christmas? Ugh. The fireplace is now done with permanent ugly green tiles, and a poopy color brown top. Who uses candelabras on a fireplace mantle? Only good thing is the kid's toys are gone.. Who was doing oversight on this 'designer' and what are her credentials?
