La popular conductora estadounidense Oprah Winfrey le dio la bienvenida al año 2012 y el 1 de enero, compartió el especial de su programa con el vocalista de Aerosmith, Steven Tyler de 63 años de edad.
Oprah, de 57 años, se atrevió a hacerle las preguntas más íntimas al artista. Lo entrevistó y éste reveló sin tapujos sobre su pasado con las drogas y el alcohol.

I wish I could have met him
I mean met as in met him at one of his shows . Aerosmith was the very first concert I ever went to and I lost count of how many times I've seen them. I'm 60 now so chances of actually meeting him are all but gone
But he is a warm ,thoughtful, great full man
Not to mention honest and open . So anyone who has issues with him should look in the mirror
Jealously plays a big part in meaness .

Sifting through videos out here, and I'm so glad I found this one. This man has had a hard life, he's had to come to grips with what he did or didn't do, and I'm glad that he has a family that loves him and has forgiven him. Now he has to forgive himself, and we all have this same problem with things we've done in our lives. I think we are sometimes our own worse enemy. I'm happy that he's still doing what he loves, and that his future bride will be right there with him. When he was talking about his dad, it made me cry. My dad was given only a few more weeks to live, and after losing my mom recently, I'll be like him without parents. I pray that he'll be able to remain clean, and that he has a wonderful life with his fiancé doing whatever makes them both happy. Just goes to show, that no matter how famous one is, they're still humans, just like the rest of us. Sometimes I wonder what it was that caused him to want and 'need' so much attention. He still needs it, and we are a product of our environment. After watching this vid,eo, I have so much respect for him for laying it all out on the table. I really think he's a very kind man, and I hope he keeps that big ole' smile. That's what I love, seeing him smile.

Absolutely enjoyed this video thank you. I was so happy he went on American Idol my mother for years why do you like him? Had me at his 1st back flip was 15 now 56 have great memories of the 38 I’ve seen Aerosmith. Yes he’s full of himself but he can also laugh at himself and have compassion that’s why he’s so adored. It’s true. I saw him in Las Vegas, MGM Grand, a couple summers ago and after concert, he met with a group of us. He was very gracious, thanked us for coming, signed autographs and took the time to chat. His stage persona is much different than how he interacts with people. He’s a genuinely nice guy.

It's a blessing to be with your loved one when they pass. When my grandfather passed at 102, the last thing I said to him was THANK YOU. I'm watching this in Dec of 2023. We just celebrated his passing of his beautiful soul on December 5th 2017.
Besides Steven Tyler's unmatched Tallent that makes him the best front man ever in rock n roll history his sincerity honesty compassion as a man surpassed anything he did on stage and this is the legacy he really cares about most that is what legends are made of God bless you my friend @lennykato

My favorite part was listening to his daughter Mia she so sweet, and I could relate to her you embrace the bad and look for the good and no pity parties. You are an awesome lady, and your dad is sooo funny and he such a joy to listen too musically and on idol.

I always loved Aerosmith music & concerts. But I love Steven Tyler's Honesty & kindness.He melted my heart the way he treated the young contestants on American Idol. I love the way he loves his children & they love him. And he is so right. We just have to forgive people that have hurt us. And hope they forgive us also.Life is so fragile and such a gift. Glad he did this interview, it was a pleasure to see him in such a personal way, and to see how normal he really is. He may not have always been a nice guy buy he is now and that's what counts. His kids got the best part of him, a good heart.

I was sorry for him many times on this interview, I had never thought of him like that... He said he feels lonely, he said he is now ashamed of being so high back in the days, he said tha he regrets leaving his family behind.
That was amazing to hear! *I like him so much more right now* . I used to adore him as a teenager, but I now realize that for me it was as if he wasn't real, as if he didn't live on earth, in reality....

Saw you at Dairy Queen in St. Cloud Florida. I was with my grandkids. You totally blew my mind how sweet and down to earth you were .. The best day of my life..As I have followed you my whole life. ❤️
I can't even believe I'm still alive. lol The first time I got to see them live was in the third row of the Stanley Theatre, now the Benedum center in 75 I believe. I still have visions of that concert in my brain. The played a lot of the first album, a bunch of Get your wings and introduced Toys In the Attic songs. I was 17 or 18. They were at the top of their game that night for sure.

when i was 14 i was staying at my friends house in boltons landing, and we walked into town to get some smoke"s and we walked up off the ice knocked on the door ,and you were not home so i looked in all your windows , and i had wished you answered the door because i was so inspired by you . i remember the coolest living room i had ever seen and the smashed up saab parked by the garage that sat there for years . cheers dude.

26:50 He talks about being in the moment of a song with the audience. I started going to concerts in my teens and have continued this into my 30s. I have never gone to see the same artist twice because life is short and I want to have seen as many varied artists as possible. There is indeed something magical at a concert; that energy of the performers along with the crowd. That being said, I saw Aerosmith in the 90s, in Pa, and it was the worst experience I have ever had at a concert. Steven Tyler wasn't singing half the time because he was too busy talking to some girl who had her tits out - but the band played on. I have seen equipment fail, bands have "off" nights, drama break out, crowds with no energy, you name it... but nothing was more insulting as a paying fan than what he did. Which is a shame because he really does seem to be talented and charismatic. I am such a huge fan of his 70s work, his energy, his spontaneous ability to scat, and style...
Steven was so special i watched my mother die of cancer at 50 she suffered 4 and a half years and then my father 68 a vietnam vet of cancer caused by agent orange all those years ago

I found out about Steven quite recently, more than 8 years ago, I accidentally came across a video in which Steven performed the song Dream On.... Having started listening to the song, I was immediately able to feel what kind of person Steven was, all his incredible sincerity, his beautiful a soul in which there is a lot of pain and his biggest and kindest heart.... I have never felt people as well as I was able to feel Steven, at the very first verse of listening to his song.... I realized that this is the best and most incredible a man in this world and I really want to learn and learn about him, more and more... Thank you for this incredible story of Steven, which cannot leave a mark in my heart, which I listened to, shedding tears, feeling him, and feeling Steven’s regret and his pain, despite how much time has passed since then and which will forever be in his heart..🙏❤❤❤❤

I drive up to Lake Sunapee every year at least once to see if I can meet him. I had a garage band when I was younger and his music has always been with me; such an inspiration. His next-door neighbors said he sits down with the rare fan[s] come up to see him and have an ice cream or juice with them. 3 times they told me I JUST missed him at the general store and, or slow riding by on his bike.

I also just got to see this in 2017 yes he can ROCK .I seen Aerosmith in Lexington Kentucky and they put on a hell of a show!Steven ran from end to end of the stage f or about 3 hours.The band went off stage 3 times and kept coming back on for a encore.
