Aww this was my favourite match of 2022! Carlitos’ went on to win his maiden grand slam. I’ll never forget it. Such an outstanding year for him and he became the youngest world number one! He’s truly accomplished so much for such a young age. The kid is incredible! Wishing him nothing but the best for 2024! Vamos! 🎾🏆🇪🇸

Totally agree ! Wish Carlos nothin but the best and hope for some big things from him. And yes this was a sensational event despite no Big 3 playing it, and Carlos was very impressive... This match will forever stick with me - and I mean that!

This match and Wimbledon are historic and so was Cincinnati. I have watched them over and over again except for Cincinnati because it made me cry like Carlos did.
It's interesting that Murray just said this about their rivalry...
"The three-time Grand Slam champion has now clarified his comments, warning fans not to force Alcaraz and Sinner into an unnatural position when their competition would likely form on its own. “I don’t think it’s a specific number of matches that people have to play,” Murray told the ATP when asked what it would take for the young stars to match the likes of Djokovic and co.
“I just think it has to be natural and organic. I feel a little bit like since Roger stopped and Rafa’s obviously been injured, I know there’s a need for new rivalries to come and they will but it doesn't have to be forced.”
I agree with Andy especially now. Ever since Sinner has dramatically improved there's been a push for a matchup between him (in top form and on a win streak) with Alcaraz who's struggling to find his again and is recovering from a series of recent injuries (plantar fasciitis, lower back weakness and now an ankle injury). This would do nothing but continue to fuel the toxic environment inhabited by bettors and Carlos haters if he were to lose. Since I don't follow Sinner does he get this level of hatred? Has tennis always been like this? Please let me know.
Because of social media these young players are the targets of so much toxicity. This includes Coco Gough and Holger Rune who has recently received death threats. I wish the tennis community would address this issue.
Thanks for this review. Your channel should have far more subscribers as your commentary is excellent.

Sinner has had many doubts thrown at him, but I suppose we don't know yet... when Sinner begin to have a slump, as happens with any player, now that he's won Big events and had major success we will see if he has the kind of comments that Carlos has had thrown at him. And I think it's social media (+ betting) above anything ... we live in a place where it's becoming normalized to hate on players. And easy to do it and have people he that hate
So no, I don't think it has been. Or like with many things- with social media it's given those people a voice and/or brought those parts out of people imo. But yes, Carlos and Jannik are both doing fine. Their rivalry is superb
I have an inkling Jannik will remain a very tough opponent for Carlos, but I also do think he's gonna win a lot in their H2H and I do think it would be good for the sport to see him get those wins. It felt like Jannik rose up right as Carlos started having the problems you laid out, and struggled a little more with results and his game
And yes those were all fantastic matches. All epics. Cincinatti and Wimbledon Djokovic-Alcaraz double is historic and will be some of the most famous matches ever . And thank you again !! For watching. Glad u enjoy it.
