I love my Buck Knives but I do not understand the amount of time invested in the development of this knife. Then $700 for this knife feels so crazy
Cool history and I can't wait to get one of the new series. Thanks for sharing, Live Long Prosper and Collect Your Own Way!
Why not use Magnacut for a dive knife it's even more stainless.
When it comes to extreme corrosion resistance, as is required in salt water, it is best not to use steel but rather a superalloy such as Terravantium. Terravantium is a tough material and well suited for knife blades: 100% corrosion-resistant, anti-magnetic and high edge retention.
Because it will break the ancient grinding machines in the factory
Boy Buck Thats for the reaming!
The 184 was shown in great detail and used exclusively in the 1986 movie "Band of The Hand". I still have my 184, which I got as a gift for my 11th birthday from my parents back in 1985. They paid $150.00 for it brand new. I'm actually thinking of selling it. How much is a 184 in great condition worth now?
I've seen them going for $700-$800 range on eBay..
Great movie dude!
Awesome video, CJ and Rich! Rich, I 'mustache' you to get the crumbs out of your stache before being filmed!
Just got the 84 😊
j'adore beaucoup les buck knife sont les meilleurs couteau du monde selon moi.
What a joke. $800 for 420hc.
You have no idea what Buck can do with 420, do you?
@@chasewells5464 you have no idea what I can do with $800, do you? Certainly wouldn't buy a Buck at that price 😂
@@EverydayBladeCollector than don’t. I’m just saying Buck does a good job with 420, and everything else on that knife is epic. It is extremely impractical though, so it’s basically just for collectors. So go get a couple Hinderers.
@@chasewells5464 Thank you for telling me how to spend my money bud I don't know what I'd do without your valuable input.
Thank you for also sharing basic knowledge on Buck that they do a good job of heat treating sub par steel.
It's been an enlightening conversation that I didn't ask for.
No room for this 🗑️ in my collection.
The same steel they put on their $35 Paklite 2.0
First of all if the new knife is going to cost 800$ then that is ridiculous! I haven't checked. With that said It does look like a very nice knife! I would love to see Buck do another sawback survival knife! Same shape blade as the 184 but better saw! [And Yes You Can Make A Sawback That Saws! Others Have Done It!] Blade,Guard, and Handle all one piece! Better Steel now than 425 mod! G-10 scales! Serrations on the blade optional! No hollow handle! FULL TANG! TRUE SURVIVAL KNIFE FOR THE WOODS -WILDERNESS!
Do you finance? Because that ain’t budget friendly.
They should fire who ever green lit this "Thing" so much wasted R&D
The bitter , whiny poors should scroll on 👋😂. They sold out sooooo
Another novelty that is way to much money.
How can you justify the price Buck knives, shame on you!
There is way too much money involved in knife collecting these days due to the fact there are way to many greedy knife companies, no wonder so many people are choosing to buy Chinese knives especially when they can make better knives with better materials for a fraction of the price.
Time for the USA knife manufacturers to wake up and stop ripping us all off. If they don't they will be going the way of the dinosaurs.
