OMG ... I'm so thrilled to see this. Dick was my best friend. One night in Laughlin Nevada, we were talking between shows. For some reason he recalled appearing on Rosemary's show. He said because it was TAPED ... it affected him ... (he worked best under "pressure" - 48 live performances on Ed Sullivan etc.) and he had to redo his accordion solo TAKE after TAKE after TAKE . I THOUGHT about this as I viewed it tonight. Thank you Ryland ! SJ.
ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL!!! I had the pleasure of working with Dick Contino on a Vegas show that ran for several years. He was a wonderful man, a great talent, and a dear friend whom it was a privilege to know.
