    I can't tell you how many times I have heard the differences between the dye and pigment inks, but I never remember. Your explanation and instruction has finally sunk in. I thank you so very much for all your efforts in bringing these and all your videos to us. I realize your time is as precious to you as anyone else, so again, thank you. Julie

    I've seen every one of your videos and I love how clear you are when explaining everything! Your videos are so great that I find my self coming back to re-watch them. Also you reference to other videos you've made to help better explain and give examples of what you are talking about, which help so much and show how detailed you are in wanting to convey the message. I love it!! Thanks for the time you take to make them and for sharing!!

    I love these videos SO MUCH. I find them extremely helpful. I got into card making early this year, and one of the first series I watched on RUclips was your MFCT 2013 series. It really helped me pick and choose what supplies I needed to start out, and also what I wanted but could wait a little while to get. It also helped me avoid products I know now to be sub-par (like poor quality clear stamps and cheap ink), and as I build my collection of craft supplies it helps steer me in the right direction. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos!

    Thanks so much for taking the time to do this video, as a newbie, I am overwhelmed with the many products out there. Everytime I go to a store, I leave scratching my head. I live on disability and can't afford to make a mistake with such a big financial purchase.
    Just wanted to say that your informational videos are the best - on to the next one

    Hi Jennifer - another great video. I really appreciate all the effort you put in with making them. They're such a useful resource. It's my birthday today and I got some Hero Arts inks for the first time (much longed for!) so I couldn't wait to check out your ink reference video. Now I can go play with them, now that I know how they'll compare to my usual ink pad selection. Thanks so much! Rx

    Quick question: I have a Memories Brand Unicorn white ink pad and wanted to get another. It seems to be discontinued on the web. But the Hero Arts Unicorn white ink keeps popping up as an alternative. Are they the exact same? I mean, did Hero Arts buy Memories ink??? Or should I keep searching for the Memories brand. You had it as your best on an older video.
    By the way, thanks for making these vids!!! Very informative.

    Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into these videos, I find them so helpful since I am new to all of these fun items. You have saved me so much time, and MONEY, by doing these videos. It's always helpful to know what will work best for each of our needs. With that being said, do you have a video describing which inks are best for copics and water coloring besides the ones you mention here? Maybe like colored inks to get that you can get the "no line" look for coloring? Or is it as simple as the same brands just in their color collection? Thanks again!!!

    • @jennifermcguireink
      @jennifermcguireink  9 лет назад +4

      Beau DeLeon i like the hero arts shadow inks for no line watercoloring. you can use mft hybrid and studio calico color inks for no line copic.

    Hi Jennifer! Thank you for another great video. I have a quick question that I hope you can answer for me. I have Hero Arts Shadow inks and I wondered if I should store them straight up or upside down? Thank you so much for this great series. Take care, Kim :)

    • @NicolesCards
      @NicolesCards 9 лет назад

      I believe you can store them either way. There is really "no need" to always store them up side down, that's what the companies have said about the ink pads produced nowsays. I store all of my HA inks sideways and never had problems. Hope this helps :)

  • @angelaparkinson414

    Hello Jennifer,
    I hope you can answer this quick question. I recently purchased the Hero Arts Hues India Black ink - I was wanting the Black you show in your video but here in the UK we are limited to what is available. My question is simply this, what is the difference between the two. I used it on two clear stamps and they are now badly stained, I don't mind discoloured stamps but these are very dark. would the Hero Arts stamp cleaner take the residue off it because baby wipes are not touching it?
    Thank you and many thanks for the great video's.
    Angela

    I love this series, especially this particular video. While it was informative, I still have a question I would like you opinion on. I purchased a Kaisercraft Clear Acrylic Stamp, and I always get a splotchy result that does not go away, even when the ink has dried. I tried the technique I read somewhere else of using a pencil eraser to remove residual oils from manufacturing before I used the stamp for the first time, I also tried something I saw in another person's video, which was to use a cushioned nail file to lightly sand the surface of the stamp, but neither of these techniques worked. Your video made me wonder if it was the ink I'm using, not the stamp that causes this issue.What's your opinion, and do you know how to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help.

      Elle L. yes, stamps made in china are very different then those made in US. the ones made in china work much better with pigment ink. The ones made in the US work with any.

    Oh I was also going to ask as well is there a difference between the Color Box ink that you get at Michael's and the MFT Color Box Ink?

    • @jennifermcguireink
      @jennifermcguireink  9 лет назад

      Beau DeLeon the clorbox at michaels is likely a pigment it. and i would be careful getting inks at big chain stores. they get the inks from manufacturers and store them in warehouses. then they go to the stores, where they are stored more. some of those inks are REALLY old. just something to keep in mind.

    • @beaudeleon2532
      @beaudeleon2532 9 лет назад

      Jennifer McGuire Ink Yes they are pigment inks and that is a very good thing to know thank you very much for bringing that to my attention. I have noticed that some of the inks I have purchased are already drying out. Especially my Versamark which I just bought and already had to purchase a re-inker for. Thanks for the help :)

    • @jennifermcguireink

    I do have a question. I've heard somewhere you should store your inks upside down. Is this true?

    • @ajjones8013
      @ajjones8013 9 лет назад

      Carol Dharkling - In general it isn't true - the vast majority of inks remain in a suspension within the ink pad (similar to how water is suspended within a kitchen sponge) so it really doesn't matter what position the ink pad is itself as the ink will rise to the surface when pressure from the stamp is applied. HTH :)
