@@tplomonte what are you on vladdy is a silver slugger all star stared 4 years in a row. Hit 48 bombs in a year. Lead them to 2 playoff appearances. If you do end up trading vlad you want a shit ton off prospects. With those prospects Atkins’s will just ruin them anyway keep vlad to build around because he’s your franchise player

I haven't come across one fan who likes Atkins or Shapiro. I didn't like the way they treated Bautista and Edwin at the end of their Blue Jay tenure. Shapiro seems only interested in renovating ball parks. Atkins only seems too....actually I have no idea what he does in this organization besides putting his foot in his mouth everytime he gets put in front of a camera.
For years the Jays had one of the best farm systems in baseball. Not surprisingly, they also had one of the best front offices at that time as well. The downslide began with the arrival of Shapiro and Atkins.
I dont know how all the Vlad rumors started. He is there biggest and most marketable player. You don't strip a team in July

How is it possible that the Blue Jay's after all these years with Shapiro and Atkins have the WORST prospects in the league. That's the biggest failure of all
good question like a few years ago we drafted vlad bo and Tiedemann but after that we have not drafted a single player that is in the mlb top 50 prospects and Ricky is I believe injured right now my question is how in the flying fuck have we not drafted a single good player beside those three in the last decade. maybe Orelvis Martenez was in the top 50 but i don't remember but it doesn't matter because he is suspended right now the blue jays front office can't sign anyone good, they have a better chance to lose 100 games this year then to sing a good prospect within the next 5 years.
You're supposed to trade from your strength. That is starting pitching on the Jays. Bassit or Gaussman, even both should be traded. The haull in prospects would be outrageous. Kikuchi won't get much in return but those other 2 sure will. i'd trade Bichette too but his value is pretty low right now so they may be better off keeping him this year.
Also, in 2025 if they are not contenders, clearly they will pull those rebuild triggers. They won’t do it if they have high ceiling players and a good core up right now.
Who misses the goated 2015 lineup of Donaldson Bautista Encarnacion Tulowitzki Martin and the rotation of price dicky Sanchez Stroman and a good closer in Ozuna I miss that team, aa was making pulls with everyone

They have 50 million coming off the books, they need a couple of power bats and pitching depth. Keeping guys gives hope for 2025. Also trades don't always work out so even if you trade all the best players you might be in a bigger hole in the end.
This is 100% on Rogers now. They have to decide whether to sell the team after the renovations are finished next season (which I believe they will) and the new owners will clean house and fire everyone or Rogers have to fire everyone NOW and hire an actual COMPETENT President and GM who will hire the right coaching staff (bye JS, Walker, Martinez and Mattingly and more) and trade the players who won't be able to win in the postseason next year.

Honestly trading vlad right now would be a massive slap in the face to fans. He's literally the only jays player that has an over .700 OPS (at .850) the rest of the team minus Horwitz (which doesn't count since he's not qualified and limited games) but everyone else has been awful overall this season. I've never seen a line up with all .600ish OPS MLB pros. Vlad is a FOF player and you don't trade those away when you have NOBODY else. Unless you get another FOF.
The core players are good individually but they don’t make a good team. As “good” as Vladdy, Springer and Bo are they’ve been given plenty of opportunity to show what they got. They don’t have what it takes to be a contending team. Sticking with these guys will just lead to more disappointment.
No longer care about the Blue Jays. If they don't care to try hard, I don't care to be frustrated watching them screw up.

Atkins is trying to look busy. He will trade off some expiring contracts for low minor league players which is all they are worth. Its face saving before being fired. So far not one meaningful prospect. Atkins is gone soon. The question is will Shapiro be fired. Schneider is history. Shapiro has to go.

2025 no way with the clowns running this team. Schneider has to go also! So far Atkins as usual has done nothing he is lost and can't make a trade that will help us at all! Trade Bo, Kirk, manoha, some of r relievers, Atkins won't and Shipiro is hopeless also! Worst duo in the majors , biggest mistake Jay's ever made hiring these two!
At the beginning of the season I wanted Vlad gone, hitting into record amount of double plays, bad on the bases, bad defense.
Now I want Bo gone, he did not get a contract so he has a hissy fit, stopped making an effort.
