Why does everyone seem to hate Curse. Y'all dont even know the half of why he is the way he is. He's got boots on for a reason. To hide his legs which are wrapped in bandages, because they are damaged. Hell, everyone deserted him because they blame him for Knuckles' death in the original creepypasta. Curse is abandoned by his best friend Miles "Tails" Prowler as well. The only person who seems to give a damn about Curse at this point is Doctor Ivo Robotnik. He uses his badniks to help the other mobians since Curse can no longer help. Now onto why Curse is named Curse- he's actually cursed. He was affected with the Curse of X, which kills anyone around him. Dr. Robotnik thought that a possible solution to fix this problem would be to send Curse to another universe. It worked for a little while. . . but the curse eventually caught up to him. Curse learns he can never escape his curse, and realizes he must cherish all moments with others, but to also distance himself before they get hurt.
I will be honest with you, *I* see that Curse was designed to be a victim, like, among all these diabolical entities and sadistic demons in the mod, he is so inferior, literally kneecapped, bound to be overpowered and defeated by everyone, even his backstory emphasized that!, forever a victim of circumstances out of his hands. *So to me,* his portrait in the fandom has been very in character.
i agree, like ik his backstory can be a little bit convoluted and and weird at some points, i still really like his character. he's one of they few .exe's to actually be given a fleshed out story outside of "ooo i kill people cause im evil lololol" but everyone just latches onto the whole "cringy femboy sonic" stereotype (which isnt even accurate according to the lore lmao). I wish people didnt gang up on him so much, he's actually one of my favorite fictional characters lol
