A million EX and SR Ibanez basses out there - you won't be out anything as long as it doesn't get smashed or neck warped when you upgrade. They always hover between $100 to $350 used, sometimes almost new. All kinds of stuff out there. I had an EX then a Tobias Deluxe V (5), then a kit bass with Basslines. 1990's to early 2000's though! Pretty much find an image of what you like, then a name, then go for it. I was always trying to find a 5 with a 35 inch scale to have the most whippin Low B.

Drummer should pick up a guitar and sing. They sound great but to me they sound a little "thin".
@ZeusKingOfAllGods the bass is too low or guitar is too loud, the sounds don't match totally but it's still great!
