I believe the true downfall of the DCEU was in 2 parts: -Warner Bros: Not being able to manage a paper hat, let alone a connected universe. Proof being their constant interference and course corrections. -The second are fans/general audience with the addition of the MCU. I've seen many people, both RUclipsrs and in comments (some who still think the same and others who regret their previous thoughts with their retropective reviews) who didn't like the DCEU BECAUSE it wasn't like the MCU. Questions like, why can't DC make light hearted fun quippy films like Marvel, or Marvel has a formula so DC SHOULD do what Marvel is doing. (Which would lead to WB's further interference) Then there were regular DC fans who didn't like Superman not being optimistic or Batman killing, using Christian Bale's Batman as the golden example of the "no kill rule." (Ignoring the fact that, at the time, every live action Batman, including Christian Bale's, all killed... Like, a lot. And a heck of a lot more than Afflecks) It's a shame because there's a quote from Zack Snyder that I really liked, which is: Superman isn't the Superman we know YET and Batman isn't the Batman we know ANYMORE. And at least for Batman this 100% makes sense. In the comics after Jason Todd died, Batman did get far more brutal and was slipping into the darkness and only Tim Drake becoming the new Robin was able to bring Bruce back to the light. The DCEU Batman, didn't have any future Robins, so he just kept falling further and further into darkness. It was only his failure with Superman and his interactions with the League that brought this version of Bruce back to the light. And I 100% believe they become the characters we know at the end of Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Henry Cavill, thru no fault of his own, wasn't playing Superman, he was just some guy from Krypton. Superman's defining characteristic is his moral code, it's what makes him interesting, resisting the urge to just go all out. He knows he is stronger/faster/tougher, the challenge for him is not to go overboard with that. Take all that away and you get, well, Zod.
Wolverine and Deadpool both had multiple movies setting them up as great characters that warranted a crossover, The Flash just had two versions of the SAME movie where he wasn't the main character. Not even a SINGLE solo movie there's already a crossover. That's just one reason.
The biggest reason: For the first solo movie of the Flash, they shoved too much in the audience's gave. Unlike with Deadpool, his first was just trying to find a guy for revenge.
Forgetting several Major points - The Rock tried for a power play that killed not only his movie but also destroyed the follow-up to the very success Shazam! Add trying to make Blue Beetle a thing, Cavill out, & the announcement of killing the DCEU right before the Flash movie (“They’re rebooting everything so what’s the point?”) all doomed it before it even hit the screen.
Yeah bro i was also thinking about that they are very much similar, like flash and Deadpool are the guys whose timeline is in trouble so they go to a superhero ( Batman and Wolverine) because he is their only hope. But that superhero doesn't want to help them because they have a conflict within themselves but then the he resolves his conflict and tries to help them. Then eventually he puts his iconic suit and the other guy ( flash and deadpool) praises him.
Had they just remade the animated flashpoint it would’ve been a hit for sure. Jeffrey dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne. Bringing back aquaman and Wonder Woman and have them fighting. That would’ve been great.

Plus even if the story of Deadpool 3 was weaker than the previous movies, Marvel knew they needed to promote this movie as much as possible. What does the Flash have? Umm boring Cgi supermen and no creative popcorn buckets
I have no optimism at all for secret wars, I dont believe they can make a cohesive story about krulls, they are too heavy handed now. Also peacemaker was so good its limited viewership was a crime, its literally one of the best superhero shows ever
Flash failed bec warner is making tv series out of their big league dc superheroes. Green arrow, superman, flash, supergirl. Etc.The audience were not surprised anymore and expect less since they already got used to the flash in tv series. Unlike Mcu everything are surprises.
Ezra Miller was the millstone around that movie's neck. Had they used Grant Gustin's Flash and the ensemble around him, it _might_ have worked. It sure as shit couldn't have been any worse, anyway.
Why it's better? Because it's full of cameo from talented actors with nostalgia character and their cgi are great. On the other hand the Flash movie suck because it had Fcking two worst actor Ezra Miller and Gal Gadot in it. Let's not forget about the bad cgi that ruins the moment in the movie.
My problem with the flash movie was they completely messed up the flashpoint story the original flashpoint story had nothing to do with the multiverse and it's pointless without the reverse flash
Little known dc fact. There is a previous Flash tv serires which features a certain Trickster played by Mark Hamil.(It also features an early appearance by Jerry Ryan) Its obviously hokey with 1970s special effects but it makes a really good collection.
Deadpool & Wolverine didn’t have Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds causing chaos in Hawaii and kidnapping people, the cameos were actually played by real actors, Henry Cavill was actually in it, the CGI was leaps and bounds better than The Flash, and the writing was a lot better than The Flash
It’s been said that during filming of the first X-men movie in 2000, Bryan Singer did not want any of the actors to read up on their characters. Kevin Feige on the other hand would sneak Hugh Jackman Wolverine comics and thank god he did! Poor guy carried that moive franchise all by himself for the first ten years!
Perfect casting, spot on charecter representation, ligitimite love/respect for charecters, incredible fan service moments are just a few reasons it was an infinitly superior movie. D&W was the funnest movie experience in years, flash was borderline unwatchable.
I enjoyed the Flash. I didn’t care about Ezra’s flash. I wanted Michael Keaton’s Batman. I got Michael Keaton’s Batman. I’m satisfied. D&W was definitely better though Edit: also the ending of The Flash is more than a bad joke, it’s karma. Ezra Mugshot’s Flash still didn’t learn his lesson by the end of the film, and continued to screw up the timeline; therefore, his punishment is to be sent to the worst timeline conceivable…the Clooneyverse.
I thought it was fitting that Miller’s Flash wound up in Clooney’s Batman, because that assures we’ll never see him as Flash ever again. The two worst versions of both characters, together in oblivion.
Still convinced if theyd used grant the movie would have far better marketing wouldnt even need toio do there job there was already a fan base just from the CW flash.
Wolverine is always a huge draw and with the DCMU coming to a close and so many controversies surrounding it, it obviously who the winner would have been.
Although they might be similar on the surface level. The flash has a lot of problems regarding the main actor, the CGI, the use of cameos and the controversies of the studio at that time.

-Warner Bros: Not being able to manage a paper hat, let alone a connected universe.
(Which would lead to WB's further interference)
Then there were regular DC fans who didn't like Superman not being optimistic or Batman killing, using Christian Bale's Batman as the golden example of the "no kill rule."
(Ignoring the fact that, at the time, every live action Batman, including Christian Bale's, all killed... Like, a lot. And a heck of a lot more than Afflecks)
It's a shame because there's a quote from Zack Snyder that I really liked, which is:
Superman isn't the Superman we know YET and Batman isn't the Batman we know ANYMORE.
You know a movie is bad when Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern beat Ezra Miller's The Flash.
That and the cgi in Green Lantern wasn’t nearly as bad as Flash simply running
Wolverine and Deadpool both had multiple movies setting them up as great characters that warranted a crossover, The Flash just had two versions of the SAME movie where he wasn't the main character. Not even a SINGLE solo movie there's already a crossover.
That's just one reason.
deadpool is entertainment
just look at who plays flash.
and look at who plays wolverine and deadpool. very big difference
- That’s because no one wana watch a movie with a doomed cinematic universe .
The biggest reason: For the first solo movie of the Flash, they shoved too much in the audience's gave. Unlike with Deadpool, his first was just trying to find a guy for revenge.
Flash sucks because it had bad cgi a controversial actor and disrespected Christopher reeves
This.
Reeve, not Reeves.
hey man thanks for being so clear on news here, I appreciate it
Forgetting several Major points - The Rock tried for a power play that killed not only his movie but also destroyed the follow-up to the very success Shazam!
They should have used the flash from CW.
Had they just remade the animated flashpoint it would’ve been a hit for sure. Jeffrey dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne. Bringing back aquaman and Wonder Woman and have them fighting. That would’ve been great.
0:24 yeah cameos from past movies only thing is one of the actors died long ago and had an actor to continue the story why didn't include brandon routh is the question instead of cgi christopher reeve
ezra was the worst casting job and cant even run right.
Because D&W has bye bye bye
The Flash doesn't have a song as good as that
Alright by supergrass when young barry first used his powes was good, and salute your situation by the racontuers when the fight the kyrtpons in the speed was fun
Why? Ezra
Separate art from artists , if someone loves Ezra , it's because of his acting and not his morals , also the fact that he never made a promise that he would not harass PPL , we assumed that
His career isn't there due to him being a good person so it shouldn't be destroyed because of him being a bad person
Why Deadpool and Wolverine is a HIT and The Flash BOMBED?
Because one of them was a really great movie and the other one was a terrible, starred a criminal and had bad CGI.
Thanks for Watching Like Share Sub!!
Ezra Miller is the Reverse Flash in real life.
The Flash is a great movie!
Plus even if the story of Deadpool 3 was weaker than the previous movies, Marvel knew they needed to promote this movie as much as possible. What does the Flash have? Umm boring Cgi supermen and no creative popcorn buckets
Two anime. Wolverine was in two anime. The one he was even the main character.
0:36 ahhh I see what you did there. Reception and Pam is the receptionist. Genius
A thing that adds salt to CW Flashs actor, DCUs Flash made a cameo in the CW as his Flash
I have no optimism at all for secret wars, I dont believe they can make a cohesive story about krulls, they are too heavy handed now.
Also peacemaker was so good its limited viewership was a crime, its literally one of the best superhero shows ever
I'm happy that The Dark Knight didn't get a cameo in The Flash.. I hope it will never happen, people are way too obsessed with fan service nowadays
Ezra is a sociopath and Ryan Reynolds is a cinnamon roll
marvel good movies ended after endgame but deadpool and wolverine bought it back hopefully it stays like that
Also because D&W is an honest movie and not a wasted potential like The Flash.
I wish Warner Bros never Hired James Gunn and The DCEU would have Continued
because wolverine is the actor himself, flash looks like guy in a cosplay ..
Oh my god, I never realized!!
"Lets fuc*ing Go!"
Victor Von Doom scared of bad words? 🤣
dc had so much potential to match mcu success but fumbled the bag so hard but we got some bangers like batman and joker
My problem with the flash movie was they completely messed up the flashpoint story the original flashpoint story had nothing to do with the multiverse and it's pointless without the reverse flash
Little known dc fact.
There is a previous Flash tv serires which features a certain Trickster played by Mark Hamil.(It also features an early appearance by Jerry Ryan)
Its obviously hokey with 1970s special effects but it makes a really good collection.
Oh yea your right
Mr. Artillery Cranium, giving love to Eleanor Shellstrop to make your case.
I respect that, bruv.
Surprisingly I watched both of them in theaters😂😂
Seems simple. Marvel connects all the dots. DC just scratches and starts over.
one more reason bad cgi for superman, WB never went to ask the other superman actor for the part!
Also could have thrown in Lynda Carter Jane Webb
The cgi and the story were very different between these 2
Haha red man make joke of claw man gi barrrrrrr
Perfect casting, spot on charecter representation, ligitimite love/respect for charecters, incredible fan service moments are just a few reasons it was an infinitly superior movie. D&W was the funnest movie experience in years, flash was borderline unwatchable.
That's why we love huge and Ryan.
I enjoyed the Flash. I didn’t care about Ezra’s flash. I wanted Michael Keaton’s Batman. I got Michael Keaton’s Batman. I’m satisfied. D&W was definitely better though
Edit: also the ending of The Flash is more than a bad joke, it’s karma.
4:15 : Holy Crap! That's REAL?!?! I seriously thought that was a joke 😅🤣
The resason is the way DCU has dealed with its cinematic universe. Plus Hawai is safer with Reynolds and Jackman.
Still convinced if theyd used grant the movie would have far better marketing wouldnt even need toio do there job there was already a fan base just from the CW flash.
Wolverine is always a huge draw and with the DCMU coming to a close and so many controversies surrounding it, it obviously who the winner would have been.
Because flashes head is big, bro thinks he's megamind
Well people love Ryan and Hugh and well the guy playing Flash that's a different story
Although they might be similar on the surface level. The flash has a lot of problems regarding the main actor, the CGI, the use of cameos and the controversies of the studio at that time.
Just saying. I watched The Flash on the flight to Japan last November. I felt the will to walk out during the movie.
😅😂😂🤣🤣🤣! ! !
