Curious how you liked Pop Century? It's our go to value resort. The skyliner is a huge bonus. I always love the travel to Disney day... it's arguably the best day because you have your whole trip ahead of you and excitement is at its peak! Can't wait to watch more!
It's a pet peeve of mine to prepare well in advance for arrangements and get assurances that it will be the way I've asked for, only to arrive and be pre-empted by whatever situation caused the mix up. I try not to let things like that bother me, and I don't take it out on the staff but it's frustrating and the experiences seem to be happening more often these last several years. All you can really do is take it in stride and not let it ruin your trip...but I certainly mark those things and then stay away in the future.

I’d probably be more hesitant about it if we had a layover, and if I didn’t already have bags to collect. But this basically let me get away with a suitcase being checked for free. So the early boarding was an added perk.
We didn’t. We forgot them. But Grandma hadn’t left yet, so we had her grab them and bring them. But it was too late for Hollywood Studios by then. He wore them for a day maybe, and then decided not to wear them because it was too hot.

We’ve talked about doing a cruise at some point. But we are having troubles with our schedule as it is. 😅 We desperately want to go back to Hawaii. Are talking about doing DL Paris next year for our first international park. Then the year after is our 15th anniversary and we wouldn’t mind doing Tokyo without the kids for that trip. But that leaves Hawaii not until 2027. And WDW again not until 2028. Which seems like a long time to push both of those off. Especially considering Epic Universe opens next year. So to try to add a cruise in, I’m not sure how we’d figure that out. Unless RUclips suddenly skyrockets for us and we can afford a second trip per year. But we’d definitely love to do one. It’s just in the “maybe eventually” category.

We were originally going to come over after spring break and do Disneyland and WDW, but are now thinking later in the year so we can go to new Epic universe. Would like your thoughts?
After finishing this trip, I’d stay at Pop Century again over Caribbean Beach. That alone saves $100-$150/night on average. I’d probably also forgo the rental car. That was $550 we didn’t “need” to spend. It was useful for all the transferring we did throughout the trip, but nothing Ubers couldn’t have taken care of for less. Keep an eye out for Disney Visa cardholder discounts. It was useful at wayyy more places than we were expecting. That 10% discount is like having an annual pass. We also at sit-down meals at lunch some of the times because the lunch prices were cheaper for the same food at a few restaurants. So look at menus before booking. I’m sure there are more tips, but that’s off the top of my head. Maybe I’ll make a WDW money saving tips video!
I noticed you film with no pop socket! maybe look into one? very inexpensive and not so big like a tripod but still less work than just holding the phone! 👍
I generally use a mini-tripod, but I didn't feel like carrying it around all day so I went sans-support for this trip. It didn't bother me. But when I'm at Disneyland, my phone is in clamped into the tripod about 90% of the time.
Sadly i dont think i will see traver at disneyland if he is at wdw rn :( but that doesnt mean he hasnt helped me throughout the journey, we leave tommorow!!
We got back on Saturday. We currently have reservations for Disneyland this Friday. But I’m trying to switch them to Thursday. If some become available, I’ll make the switch. But we will be there one of those two days.
@@SoCalDisneyDad just finished the trip and it was awesome! The last time i had gone was in 2018 so there were lots of new rides but lots of good old ones. ROTR was really cool but we waited till 11pm for them to tell us they were done for the night. Mickey and Minnie's was cool, definitely a new experience. Incredicoaster was a classic that used to be my favorite ride, however for 2 days ride audio wasnt working which really numbed the experience. Good thing it started working the last 2 days. My personal favorite was GOTG mission breakout, it was such a fun experience. I used to hate this ride when I was younger, but I love it now. I rode it a total of 5 times, and stayed after park closure for one of the days just to ride it. Hearing everyone (including my mom) scream was hilarious as I had my hands up the whole time. The music was amazing and I loved it. Especially after dark when the whole gantry lift was just like a big family! Thats enough of me talking, I hope you enjoyed your wdw trip, bye!

Favotite thing to do at Disney Springs is the Aquacar ride. I hope that the drone show becomes a permanent part of the DS nightlife.

Been once, during COVID. Stayed at Art of Animation. We loved that hotel, basic but we loved having access to the Skyway.

I would definitely hold off for Epic Universe, but just be aware it’ll be packed I’m sure. But I’d want to see it, so that’s probably what I’d do.

Is Disney springs like downtown Disney?
Yes. But much much bigger. Disney Springs has many more restaurants and stores.
How do parking fees work out with a rental car?
Parking is free at WDW hotels and Disney parks for hotel guests. But we had to pay $50/night at Universal (2 nights).
How much does parking cost at the parks?
We are not actually sure. It’s free for onsite resort guests so we didn’t pay any extra for parking each day.
