    So happy to see you have a wonderful landing at this airport. The last time I went there, back in the 90's we came in thru 1/4 visibility at night and at the last second we saw the lights on the runway... then the plane literally slapped down hard and bounced. We hit again and watched in horror as it was leaning to the right side... but then the left gear touched. and then the nose followed and bounced a couple of times. As I left the plane I told the pilot " Any landing you can walk away from is good right? He looked at me and I told him to meet me in the bar for a drink. That never happened for the record. This was the worst landing ever in my life.

    Love those engines like the old 727 ...and dc9 love the roar on landings. Did they have an upper class on this.

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 года назад

      No, JSX has one offering. It’s basically all first class.

    Flaps 45, interesting. At my company we only use 45 when we need to. Flaps 22 is the typical!

    Great fly! Do you fell scare when going though storms?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 года назад +1

      Not typically. I’ve flown through enough storms to know the worst is usually going to be some moderate turbulence.

    Happy Easter Traveler. Was it me or did he drop the gear way early. He seemed to fly a long way with it down before landing ! Was that for drag and deceleration?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 года назад

      It was pretty early. It was likely for the extra drag, but I don’t know that for sure.

    Awesome! Must’ve been a bit scary, How often do you go on Planes?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 года назад

      Quite a bit. When I commit to uploading videos every day, that requires a lot of flying.

    Cool video! I have always found it interesting flying through thunderstorms, particularly during the summer months. So did it get real turbulent at any time during the final approach? I hope to see more videos like this down the road.

      @sla31  2 года назад

      Thanks my friend. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It really wasn't that bad. This system was still in the early stages of development, so it hadn't gotten too turbulent. Plus, I'm sure the pilots/ATC routed us in to avoid the worst of it.

    Good views of the thunderclouds. I've been in flights where they had to go through T-storm clouds where there was a lot of lightning and thunder, where the plane was being tossed around. I've seen lightning hit the tip of the wing of the plane I was in.

      I know that feeling! I have too! I travel to Central Florida every June for my annual summer vacation and if you anything about that area during the summer months, they have thunderstorms almost every day. But not just in Florida because we fly over most of the midwest and south to get there. A lot of times we see some spectacular lightning shows off in the distance both on the way there and on the way out. The ones I like are the ones I see when I wake up around 4 or 5AM on the way to Atlanta Hartsfeld International airport before the last leg into Melbourne,Florida. I always take a red-eye flight out of my home airport (ONT) in California to connect in Atlanta and then into Florida as I said. It's a trip I always enjoy!

    You prefer Embraer, Airbus, or Boein

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 года назад

      I prefer Airbus over most other aircraft types. As a passenger that is. As an aviation enthusiast, I will fly anything.

    • @Jesuscatshockey
      @Jesuscatshockey 2 года назад

      @Skylite Productions
      Why do you prefer Airbus?
      Ambiance? Quiet? Space? Shitters? Which is your preferred seat?
      Ever experience an in-flight emergency? Ever thought you might crash?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 года назад

      @@Jesuscatshockey Airbus aircraft are generally designed with passenger comfort more in the forefront than other planes. Airbus has always been that way. For example, The A320 series was designed to have a bigger cabin than the 737. Its cabin is 7 inches wider than the 737. That may not sound like much, but it means each seat is 1 inch wider. That's a lot, and it makes a big difference. That's just one example. So, as a passenger, I would always prefer to fly Airbus over Boeing. I don't have a preferred seat on any plane. I try to mix it up so the content I post never gets stale. And yes, I've been in both situations. Medical/mechanical emergencies, and one flight where I thought we might not land safely. All of those flights are here on my channel. Here is the link to the one landing I thought we might be done for: ruclips.net/video/Tb-u8j9gX7I/видео.html

    Just a small comment....As a retired airline pilo,t I can assure you that you did NOT fly THROUGH a thunderstorm...If you did your video and your demeanor would be MUCH different..LOL..You flew around them not through them....It's a very BIG difference....I do enjoy your videos however...

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 года назад +2

      Well I appreciate you watching and I'm glad you enjoy the videos, however, I'd be remised if I didn't at least say that I feel like that's kind of splitting hairs a bit... It was a developing system, and we flew through it. Did we fly directly through a major cell or thunderhead? No, but we didn't fly completely around the entire system. So, flying around, flying through, dodging, etc. I feel like they all are basically the same thing haha. Anyways, thanks for watching my friend.
