- It is close to two years since the GB Rowing Team raced at any competition and between now and the postponed Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, they may only have one race to get it right: the European Rowing Championships.
Not only is the pressure on to see if their training through lockdown has paid off but for many of the athletes, this may be their final chance to secure a place on the plane to Tokyo.
While some familiar faces have departed the squad, there is one surprise addition with the return of double Olympic Gold Medallist, Helen Glover.
--------
The Road to Tokyo is a fascinating behind-the-scenes documentary into the teamwork and commitment of the elite Olympic and Paralympic rowing squads. The three, 30-minute episodes follows the GB Rowing Team and tells the athletes' stories as they strive for selection for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Produced by Truly Sweet Visuals & British Rowing.

Brilliant and hilarious 😁😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣
I loved the series. Especially seeing the change of atmosphere throughout the episodes.
A good motivational video. Go for GB. Avoid infection. Beat 35C temperature and high humidity and relatively rough water and sea water in Tokyo. I pray you all will be the best version of yourself in every heat.
Great RUclips videos. Well produced and enjoyable to watch. Good luck for the main event. Can't wait to watch
This was such a good series. Thank you!!
Good video, great music, great editing. 🥂 Cheers from Milwaukee Wisconsin 🇺🇲.
Well done!
Outstanding work, guys!
They all seem so much happier without the spectre of Jurgen hanging over them
What team is it at 25:49?? Women’s Eight??
Great series but this could really come back to bite them on the arse. Legitimately saying they're all going to win gold (about mid way through the video).
I hope they stay off social media, exactly the type of thing that would give someone the yips before racing...
Or it could make other crews more nervous
Doubt it, it doesn't put any pressure on athletes from any other country to perform.
Strangest thing about this is that the least arrogant crew seems to be the men's 8 which I also believe have the best chance of winning.
@@zacbrockway2938 What ? That had never worked out and will not at the Tokyo Olympics. 1 medal is far away from previous glory and at the end the performance was not their to get that medal.
This aged well..........
