Derek I know it can get lonely sometimes driving from place to place sleeping in your home on wheels but every video I watch gets me one day closer to retiring and being able to do what you do. I want to be on the beach daily detecting. Im also hoping one day you find that special woman as your are detecting or preaching nice words to others on the beach.

that is why a use a threshhold sound if it changes you know something is down there I learned that with the ole garrett 500 vlf many years ago probly one you have never heard of been at it for 60 yrs. keep on diggin!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@TeamBlackDiamond Doing videos is definitely a lot more work than I thought before I started. I did enjoy hunting much more when I was not filming. Then you have the editing to do when the hunts all over. Now that I’ve been filming for a few years, I do enjoy it more than before. I enjoy sharing my finds and my hunt with my friends. I recommend definitely giving it a try! I enjoy watching videos very much! Especially beach videos! Especially Derek’s videos!

@@HailNjord Hey Josh! What is the lower blue wrap/grip you have below your lift handle on your scoop? It almost looks like a fishing handle wrap over foam or something? I've been looking for something similar for my scoop handle...
@@OutdoorSurvivalists that is 30 feet of paracord and the braid pattern is called fish scale. Took me 5 hours to make and you need a fid to make it. It's the pattern that whalers would tie on their harpoon handles for grip. It adds some padding when carrying the scoop on my shoulder as well as grip when sifting sand. The small handle is wrapped in Lizard Skins (baseball bat) grip tape 0.5 mm.
Found my second gold ring yesterday, wedding date 1939 inscription, so sad!!

Up toward the north, you’re lucky to be the only one detecting on the beach 🏖 😲. Sometimes being friendly leads to some good leads and friendships. So, we play the cards we’re dealt.
@@Gary_Daytona if we could only hunt one beach I would agree. But I would rather drive an hour than hunt with 5 people! Florida has sooooo many good “secret” spots. I have seen 0 hunters in last 2 days and found heavy gold! Timing is also important. Go during the storm and hunt right after! Or at dark?! If I could post some of James finds I would. He kills it up there..
Wow never seen so many people detecting at one time in the same area - crazy.
Clearwater is the same! Also cocoa in some spots. I usually move but had a test to do💪
I like switching out I like to use a CTX some days and some days I'll use the equinox and then some days I'll use the DeusII I love them all 👍🦀

Hate it! Very chattery. There are ways to quiet it down but I have no comparison to see if the lower settings lose to much depth?! More to come though.
Typical but good question for you, I used to try beaches from siesta key down to Ft. Myers, I’m looking to upgrade my current device. Being that the sand is the same where we detect, I think you could help me in the correct direction. DEUS ll or a 800? Thanks in advance. And keep them videos coming.

I think the reason people are hating on the deus 2 is because they are so used to the mine lab and they are afraid of change to be honest
The equinox800 is turn on and go! The deus2 is a super computer! By far the best metal detecting technology I’ve ever had! If it connects easier I would be happier 🙏😎
i honestly agree. while my D2 is brand new to me, its underwater and beach abilities are second to none. im also a ctx owner from the day it was released to the public. i love that machine but the D2 is my go to detector for hunting everything.

Well, I’m actually lost. I can’t get the deus to settle in the water. The beach Sen is by far the most sensitive on small gold but I would choose the one that settles. Keep watching because I used it today on beach P and like the response in the water. More in a few day
Beach P good for hunting on the Water. Reactivity 1 or 1,5, Salt sens 1-2. Sensitif 90.
