    good video. but the sensitivity and specificity data provided is actually for URETERAL calculi, not renal calculi. The data for renal calculi is much lower. thank you!

    Sir, can a renal stone be equal in echogenicity as the renal sinus fat complex? Can the fat complex give posterior shadow just like a stone in some cases?

      Hi, yes, it can be difficult to differentiate small stones from lumpy-bumpy sinus fat. But usually fat doesn't give shadowing. Even if the localized fat is big enough to be confused with a stone, there will be some through transmission of the sound waves (= no shadow).
