I've just became a teenager again 🤪 Love this song, that blow me away such long time ago. 🤗 ❣️ 😘 I was so much in love with Eric back in the 70', until I met My future husband and got some Kids 😉 Bay City Rollers still rock My world ❤️
Ahhh the memories this song brings back. I was like 12 years old when this song came out. I never got to see these guys perform very often except on TV. Now I can see them perform on my phone. WOW!!!!
Go go Eric and Woody u have gentle fantastic unique voices so lovely together. U r legends in your own rights. Love the Bay City Rollers the best forever.
This song underlines the versatility of the Rollers music and performances. They could 'rock it up' with the best and could produce this dreamy, atmospheric song which leaves you 'floating' and also wondering how it came into being. Could it have been from personal experience? Interesting and intriguing! Regards, Jo.
Eric was the man! Money Honey , La Belle Jeane, Shanghai'd In Love, You're A Woman.... all timeless, all are my favorites by BCR... and all written by the great Mr Faulkner !
@@leeanne4638 I am sure that you can give Eric credit , where credit is due. One basic truth: BCR was going nowhere, if not for Mr. Faulkner's contributions. Both musical, and spiritual. A ray of light --that is Eric. And today? He is still the modest poet/troubador that he always was. No drama. No self-aggrandizing Facebook ego trips. A model of Love and Light.
Loved this song just because Eric and Woody got to share lead vocals!!! 😘😘😘. Never saw this video here in the US either! Janny, thank you again so much for posting and for sharing your videos of these georgeous men once again! ❤️❤️❤️🌺🌺🌺😊
Eric was writing, and sharing the credit with Stuart, but the lions share was written by Faulkner. That is friendship. Love these two. The first musicians I ever followed.
Yes very true in fact Eric wrote some of those songs like Money Honey before he was in the band. The Faulkner/Wood credits were just on paper. Eric did the writing. Love the sound of their voices together though. No one else sounds like these two.
Shanghai‘d In Love is on the Wouldn‘t You Like It-Album...my fav one from the Rollers. Eric & Woody were/are so talented but they never got. the respect that they should have earned. Both are very good musicians and it‘s really sad, that they will never get together again, because of the egomaniac McKeown. Leslie was an excellent singer, but he never checked what it means to work together in a group as a team.
@@bluesky-pb9di At some point a lot of lead singers think they ARE the band, but it ain't necessarily so. So many solo careers didn't take off after lead singers left their band. Les was a very good singer but he was not the Bay City Rollers. All of them together were.
@@jannylovesbcr...Yes...😁 The way that Woody runs from playing the keyboard...🎹🏃 ...And then... Plays the sax...🎷 ...And then... Runs right straight back to the keyboard once he is finished playing the sax!!...🏃🎹
The songs of Faulkner/Wood should be touted around the bands and sole singers of today,COME ON YOU ORRIBLE LOT,contact the press and push Eric and Woody's songs, contact promoters ,etc.NEIL FISHER.
I always liked this song. But a few beefs with this video: (1) The video doesn't match up with the vocals. Get yer synchronization straight before you post. (2) Les and Derek cracking up make me crack up. (3) What are they saying here: "Like a _____ I was hooked on love..." ----I've been wondering about this since 1976.

does Les actually PLAY the keyboard/guitar for real? .. i wonder ..does a good pretending act if he doesn't .. lol - they should have put the fifth guy (on the left (not sure who it is) playing guitar) over where Les and the keyboard were ..at least he CAN PLAY his guitar, hey! lol
Im 58 and still a Rollerhead. Loved Ian...
Oh Eric makes my knees weak!! Love to hear his voice!❤
Brilliant harmonies. They both had such sexy voices. Quite apt musicians as well.
Eric and Woody have beautiful voices
No one puts Ian in a corner.
Well, they did---in a DARK corner! :)
@@8angst8 Well they shouldn't have.

Gorgeous, gorgeous song. Always loved it/ will always love it. Their harmonies were a thing of beauty.
Brilliant song brilliant vocals by Eric and Woody.... From the LP Wouldn't You Like It
Brilliant romantic music loved it in the late 1970's thanks to my sister playing it all the time on vinyl. Hahaha.
Interesting song even back then. Thanks Rollers!

I love this song Eric and woody vocal are amazing.

+lm sandy Don't forget Woody. He co-wrote all those songs with Eric. They're a great team. :)
I'm an Alan girl but Eric has a nice voice and is a VERY talented musician. Easy on the eyes too, lol.
Your being bias, dear, and neglecting a very large part of his writing capabilities,as Woody ALSO wrote alongside of Eric.

Great song and great singers .
I loved this when I was twelve but somehow it touches me today so very much more.
Wished Alan would have never had to go. This killed it all.
LOVE this song both vocally and musically #EarEcstasy
Great track from wouldn't you like it album should have been released as a single would have been a big hit
I love how you can hear their Scottish accents a bit on the vocals. Such a sweet, dreamy song. Thanks, Janny. :)
Great harmony & song by Eric & Woody. Thanks for sharing!
Eric and Woody sound so good together.
love this song another great L.P track from wouldn't you like it album
Wouldn't it be great to hear this song in Woody's live shows 2024/2025.
This is superb..fantastic lyrics and beautifully sung..HPD 🌻
Love that song !
Now that I'm no longer screaming my bloody head off (LOL), they CAN play their instruments!! LOL What a sweet video and song. Love me some Eric!!! :)
Except Les. He's just pretending to play that keyboard. LOL
Yeah wonder why Les never learned to play any instruments.
@@bluesky-pb9di he plays the guitar, just not very much and usually when the others played keyboards.

Eric is a massive talent. They robbed him. Period. I hope he still owns the rights to his greatest songs, like Money Honey and You're A Woman
Janny, i just love this video, you are so talented, thank you for posting so many great vids.
Awesome
Wow, this is one is so clear. You can even see Ian! Great song.
BCR 4 ever!!!!!!!!!
wow...I loved this on the Rock N' Roll Love Letter (US lp) and Wouldn't You LIke It! I loved the guitar parts..
Love this one so much but why is Ian stuck in the back......and not even panned on by the camera......they were a group after all! Always a fan!
This was one of their biggest hits. ,
So romantic(:
How in the hell did I not know that Eric sang lead on this?!? I've been listening to this song for over 40 years!
I just love him singing this....and Woody too!!

Wonder why Ian's so far away from the other band members and in the shadows. 😢😭
I wondered that too. Ian's too cute to be back in the shadows.
nice song
This one looks like it was mostly live singing and playing, not mimed as much, as was customary back then on tv shows.
This is super! Is this live version,,because it doesn't sound like the record
It was recorded in Eden Studios in London.
In 1975 no one knew what this song was going on about. Hahaha.
I still don’t!
Hallo PaulMc Cartney wie finden sie den Song ?
The intro sounds like Dear Prudence.....
You know, I've been hearing this song since the 70s and never noticed that, but you're right!

I did read that Leslie played musical instruments but wanted to focus on the singing aspect of it all. That's Ian Mitchell on the side. xoxo
jannylovesbcr That is me and Les never played anything musically. He was a lead singer only, nothing wrong with that.
TY for responding....xoxo
Ian Mitchell Hi Ian *waves*
There is another video on here of Les playing the drums.
Were they singing that. Does not look like they were or instruments playing. Looks all fake
The vid is not synched properly with the audio
Yuck. Any song without Leslie as lead vocals bites
