most cars have push to downshift, pull to upshift (because it's easier to do when fighting the g-forces). "backwards" sequentials are mainly done in "road-going" cars where people using them downshift as a means of braking (rather than to have the best gear to pull away quickly).
Great point, FinlayDaG33k! You're absolutely correct; the orientation usually depends on the car's primary use case. In most performance and racing settings, it's pull to upshift and push to downshift due to the g-forces. I appreciate the technical insight! In order to be competitive, a lot of sim racers adjust their FFB down to very low values. It's like always; when you want to be the best in a game, the fun level goes down...
Hey @b.s.7693, I see where you're coming from, but I want to clarify a few things. My FFB is definitely on, and usually set quite high. In fact, if you take a closer look at my video, you'll notice a significant amount of wheel movement, indicative of high FFB settings. I value the realism and feedback that strong FFB provides, as it's essential for understanding car behavior and dynamics. And I don't care about world records. Just to be clear, running without FFB wouldn't logically make me faster! On the contrary, it's the nuanced feedback that aids in precision driving. I encourage you to check out more of my content to see that I'm often been told that my ffb is too high!
Thank you so much for the kind words, @martinkidjoemueller! Absolutely, you can turn off the on-screen symbols in the settings. I've actually started driving from the cockpit view without any guiding symbols in my latest videos👍😊
The rally drivers I have watched usually use the "feed the wheel" steering technique so their hands don't overlap when they steer in tight corners. Not sure if there is a right way. Brilliant driving though, beautiful to watch.

Hey there! I actually used to have a Logitech G27, which is pretty similar to the G29 you're using. I had it for many years. I can confidently say that upgrading to the CSL DD is a game-changer. The difference is not just big, it's enormous. The level of detail and precision you get from a direct drive system like the CSL DD is beyond compare. You'll experience the road and car handling in a way that’s just not possible with the gear-driven G29. I also recommend buying the 8NM boost kit. It brings an added layer of intensity to your driving experience. It might seem like a hefty investment, but trust me, it's worth every penny for the immersion and enjoyment you'll get out of it😊
@@ProjectSimRacing Alright, thanks for your long worthy message man. I probably won't buy the boost kit yet, a bit out if my budget, but I totally understand it makes the experience even more enjoyable. Thanks once again!

@@michalkaylan Just a small note - if you decide to go for the CSL DD, consider using my affiliate link to make your purchase. I want to be clear that my recommendation is not because I have an affiliate link, but because I genuinely love this product and believe in its quality. @dyc02 I think so, but let's see what EA Sports WRC has to offer 👍😁
I love dirt rally 2. It was my first sim game besides f1, loved rally way more. This is an insane setup. I might get a bit queasy haha
Haha Thank you so much! Really appreciate it 🙌
Wet tarmac looks more like a sheet of ice. Maybe caused by some graphics-settings? Otherwise really good visuals.
It was like driving on ice🤣🤣🤣
I thing the brightness on my TVs was a bit to high for this track 😊
@@ProjectSimRacing I do have all the Dirt games and Rally + this 2.0 But not yet installed on this new gaming comp yet- Living in Finland, I know what is ice and what it not. Have to put in full wet conditions and look, how it looks. :)

Awesome driving, man!
Thank you so much brother! Really appreciate it 🙌
Feedback - 0%
In order to be competitive, a lot of sim racers adjust their FFB down to very low values. It's like always; when you want to be the best in a game, the fun level goes down...
@b.s.7693 my FFB was at 100%. So 8NM👍
That's kind of impossible with 8NM 😁
@@ProjectSimRacing of course it's possible, you can fully turn down the strength in-game.
Incredible👁👁
Thank you so much! 🙌
This is impressively immersive and great driving ☺
Thank you so much 🙌
You have definitely earned my sub! Holy moly PSR, you are wild man.
Love the setup btw!
Thank you so much man! I really appreciate it 💙 ✌️
Wow, incredible driving and setup 🔥🤙
Thank you so much! 🙌
nice setup, 3 monitors do nice job
Thank you! 🙌
...great driving THX...!
...but is it possible to turn off that symbols at the osd? please tell me...
Thank you so much for the kind words, @martinkidjoemueller! Absolutely, you can turn off the on-screen symbols in the settings. I've actually started driving from the cockpit view without any guiding symbols in my latest videos👍😊
Wow thats great :-)
But how and where in the settings? Please let me know ;-)
THX so much and all the best 2U
@martinkidjoemueller they are called OSD Settings and you can see them in this video ruclips.net/video/WWqPfA01aR0/видео.htmlsi=kXdKuK4yOvGDbPCZ 😊
The rally drivers I have watched usually use the "feed the wheel" steering technique so their hands don't overlap when they steer in tight corners. Not sure if there is a right way.
Brilliant driving though, beautiful to watch.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it 🙌
Everyone has their own tehnic tbh. There's no right or wrong really 😉
Wholy legendary driving
Thank you so much man! 🙏
This looks amazing can’t wait to build a sim set up.

Amazing set up!
Thank you so much! 🙌
Codemasters makes the best driving engine by far! I wont watch a 3rd person racing video, it the same as driving an RC car, stupid! Cockpit view is driving! This setup is unreal! Watching this compared to any other driving game, makes other games look so fake! Awesome video! great driving too!
Thank you so much mate! Really appreciate it 🙏🙌
DR2 physics are so spot on in the gravel almost to perfection . I hope they manage that level for tarmac too in the upcoming WRC 23
Lets hope so! That would be great!
For the first time in a very long time, I am actually excited for a new WRC release.
@niklasjonssonwesterlund8882 I'm very excited as well! let's see what the new game brings us😊
ITs like driving on a ice skating ring not really actual physical driving reality but close enough.
Each game has its unique interpretation of physics, and sometimes it can feel like a bit of a balancing act
Right, this is exactly what I want to build. Now, off to convince the Mrs to give up one of the rooms, wish me luck.... 😁
Haha😄 My room here ruclips.net/video/_BNNc7JcLVM/видео.htmlsi=mG9_RZ_XtRTJ-NaD
Is only about 4,5x3m. So you don't need a very big one 😊
I just noticed you push for shift up and pull for shift down. It looks really strange and it cannot be unseen now :)))). Anyway, really nice driving!
Hahaha I'm used to it because I had it like that in my Golf R mk7🙂 But in my latest videos I do it the right way 😉😁🫡
You don't know what a sequential gearbox is?

Hey man. Im thinking of upgrading to a CSL DD from my g29. Did you use the g29 in the past and could tell if the difference is really that big?
@@michalkaylan Absolutely! Remember, sim racing is a journey, not a destination. Start with the CSL DD and when the time (and budget) is right, you can enhance your experience with the boost kit. You're already on the path to a more immersive racing experience, and I can't wait to hear of what you think of it😁
Cheers 🫡
@@michalkaylan Just a small note - if you decide to go for the CSL DD, consider using my affiliate link to make your purchase. I want to be clear that my recommendation is not because I have an affiliate link, but because I genuinely love this product and believe in its quality. Like I said before I used to race with a G27, and the upgrade was a night-and-day difference. Using the affiliate link doesn't cost you anything extra, but it does help support my content. Of course, this is entirely up to you - only if you're comfortable with it! Cheers 🙂
this guy is so friggin' good 👍👍. (not me using my wheel rim as a toilet seat... nope 😭)
Haha😆 Thanks mate!
You have your shifter set up reversed. But you seem to get along with that perfect.
Haha I know 😊 I used to have it like that irl in my Golf R mk7, that's why😝 I have it the "right" way in my newer videos👍🙂
You need a stewart platform. And a VR headset. Put a body tracker on the platform, and use it to cancel-out the platform movement. 👌
Thanks for the information but I get motion sickness so I'll keep using my triples for now👍😄
stunning
Thank you so much! 🙌
Love you videos, I also find it easier to drive the cars using the hood view. The inside view with wipers is so hard but more real. This way feels like cheating.
Thank you! 😊
I used this view because DR2 doesn't natively support triple screens and it was challenging to get the cockpit view to look any good. However, I've recently found a way to optimize it, so I'm using the cockpit view on all of my more recent videos 😁
nice setup!
Thank you! 🙂👍
That was insane

wow unreal driving absolute talent. what car are you using in this video it sounds and looks like it handles great

It's the EVO VI 😊
Now you are unofficially qualified as a dirt really driver🎉.
Haha Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊✌️
Amazing👏
Thank you so much! 🙌
Great driving and absolutely mesmerizing view! Question: how and why did you get used to a backwards sequential gearbox?
Thank you so much, mate! Really appreciate it 🙌 I actually used to have an EVO X in real life and got used to the backwards sequential that way. But after a ton of comments pointing it out 😆, I switched to using it the 'right way' 😊 Pretty sure this is the last video where I had it set up like that.
@@ProjectSimRacing wow, very interesting about the Evo X. This video popped up in my recommended feed and I think this was the first one I watched from your channel. Checked a couple more and I see you switched :)

SICK setup. Man that's awesome! 👍Are you using tobii eye tracking or track IR? I'd love to know what shift and E-brake setup that is? I can only imagine the expenses paid.

damn how do you get the graphics this good?? I have mine on ultra and it doesn't look nearly as amazing as yours😂

Unbelievable 👍
Thank you sir!
One question i have is, i have a 4090 and a seperete 55 inc oled for sim and 42 for pc use. Problem i face is the limitation of the DP. If 1 monitor is set to 4k hdr + gsync. I cannot have the same on the other with DP - HDMI converter. How do you overcome that obstacle?
Unfortunately there are no DP to HDMI adapters that support G-sync out there..
@@ProjectSimRacing Thank you for reply! Okey so you can get 4k + HDR 4:2:2 on all monitors?
With pleasure. I don't use HDR since I'm filming my screens. And I have to use "boring" settings so that it looks good on camera 😁
Otherwise I would want to have HDR on😊
With the upshift, you pull the manual gear backwards not forwards
I know 👍 🙂
fantastic
Thank you so much! 😁
Are you using some sort of graphics mod? Because this definitely doesn't seem like the standard graphics from the game
No🙂 I use a helmet mounted GoPro to film my gameplay on my triple 55-inch OLED TVs using this setup ruclips.net/video/_BNNc7JcLVM/видео.htmlsi=mG9_RZ_XtRTJ-NaD
@@ProjectSimRacing wow through the GoPro it makes the graphics look SUPER lifelike
