You're right, Siemens and Bosch are the same, just different looks. The "self cleaning condenser" takes the water that came out of the laundry and got pumped into the tank and flushes the condenser unit/fins with it by opening a valve underneath the tank. If you look on the bottom of the tank, you can see it. It is meant to keep the fins clean but works rather semi-well, eventually they might get clogged with lint/fluff too. There's a video about a pretty similar Siemens from "Daniel P.", where he took it apart completely to clean it (video is in german), worth a watch if one's got a few free minutes.
Hey good job you wasted 3 minutes of multiple people’s limited time
time is all we have!
It’s completely USELESS, lost time…. Thanks man….
I just popped the front off very gently using my nails and fingertips. The fan behind was full of dust!
In the middle of that facia it looks like a little tab to get a flat screw driver to pop that facia off. I don't work on them so I don't know, but looks like it will pop at that tab in the middle mate
Hi! Can’t open the cover we have the very same dryer. It steps everytime i was using it.
Again in theory, using the tank water to clean the condenser sounds great. In reality, wet lint is even more difficult to remove than dry I suspect ?
It all seems a bit unworkable to me, but it does have good filters.
What do you do with the machines you repair?
Why do you ask?
@bootsowen because I wonder where do you put all those washers?
This dryer is imported from Germany 🇩🇪
Nope
Is this one imported or did you visit Germany? 😁
A visit
Very funny - it doesn’t open
