Have you seen the key fob features you can roll down your windows and open the sunroof before you get in the car if u push the unlock button 3x and hold it until they're down all the way or it will stop wherever they are when you release the button.
Thank you Evan for a great 5-part series, I have learnt a lot about the great E46 model range and I’m having fun going through them on my 328i. Long live the E46! 😇🔧🛠
I can't remember if you have covered this feature already but the purpose of that tool case metal rod with plastic tip is to actually hang your wheel into the hub and keep it there until you have tightened it so you don't need to keep the wheel up by hand
A feature that I didnt know about till last week is that the windows can be rolled down by the key fob. You double tap the unlock button slowly and on the second press, you hold it down.
And extreme information, also if the car should be locked in the petrol station, inside lock button should be used, because it doesn't lock fuel door lock 👍
There is a DSC feature where you have to hold the brake and the DSC button and it removes all traction control from the vehicle, (tried it on my 2004 325i, back in the day, so i know that works, i just don’t remember the sequence) i also heard that on the M models they lower the suspension or it does something to them, but that i don’t know if its true!
@@erskain no i believe my vehicle had some vanos issues, I was too young, and never really researched much about the issues the vehicles had! Unfortunately not enough power to do any drifting or anything
A little bit about closing bmw with a key...One day after the store I had to put groceries in the trunk. I opened the trunk with the key, put the packages in there and closed it. Only later did I realize that I left the keys in the trunk and I don't have a second key to open the car. I had to drill rear light to get my hand in the trunk and get the keys, that was the only option
I believe there is another hidden feature on smg's where if you are cruising in high gears and want to drop a gear, you just take your foot off the accelerator, then press it again. It auto shifts down for you.
None of theseare really hidden features, the rain sensor, fuel cap holder, tyre pressures on the door shut are all very visible or mentioned in the handbook. Some were even present on older models!
Older BMWs had more features and Easter eggs than the brand new models.
Hidden feature number 8, under the hood, there is an engine, it’s super hidden and actually I never knew it was there.

Awesome as always! Love the e46 content, thanks Evan!
I'd never notice the wiper feature as I never use the higher speeds, but maybe now I will. Thanks.
I think that wheel chock it was puted there by the engineers who designed the hand brake! :))
Great video man!
The e46 was a mini e38, very luxurious car for the time, many many features and options, even for today many cars dont have it

I've had my e46 for 20 years and never knew about the wheel chock!
Colour looks great!

You just need to hold it.

Were you able to get a little sideways in the 325i? I just picked one up up

im curious where did you get that steering wheel?
Hidden feature #3 - DAMN!
I might be wrong and I don't have the alarm on my e46. But are you not able to turn the red light under the rear view mirror to disable the alarm?
Iirc you can double press the lock button on the key to lock the doors without activation of the alarm
Nope, the light is fixed. You use the keys or the remote.

So did you change out your radio and if so what brand did you use?
Do you plan on going to MPact this year?
Might be too far
I always wondered whats the button to the right of the DSC doing , i dont have that one so i have no idea.
Hi Evan, Love the interior upgrades! Where did you find ZHP door cards? or are they M?
the lock/unlock inside will override the electronic lock and allow the door to unlock from within, if you press it again
whats that thing on your vent that says bmw
Are there any hidden features on the E46 cabrio ????????
love the color
hidden feature makes the stereo louder the faster you are driving. not sure if it needs to be coded
Great!
Why don't you post link for others hidden features videos?

You should've put the best "hidden feature" in this video. You know what I'm talking about...
Good idea!!
Ahahah very nice, but the touring has the child safety feature :D
I have a 325ci coupe automatic with headers and I'm in Connecticut
Can you do a basic tuning guide? If that's even possible.
