I'm pretty sure that the skull and bones in pirates was voiced by Xavier atencio not Paul frees. Paul frees voiced the ghostly echoe of dead man tell no tales.

One year I had the thing upside down as I opened it and saw '666'. Kinda freaked me a little and I turned it over to see '999'. I laughed a bit and showed it to my very religious Grandmother who from that day on would never ride the Haunted Mansion again. She was convinced it was a bit more nefarious than she previously thought. Or, she just wanted more time for Dole whips and shopping, and a break from the grandkids.
Idk about Tokyo because I have never been but they have "Phantom Manor" instead of "Haunted Mansion" at Disneyland Paris and it's only similarities to "Haunted Mansion" is a portion of the layout. Great video btw I love this channel!
I don't believe in the idea of the guests dying and becoming ghosts for a few reasons: 1) Both versions of the story and song records explain specifically how the characters get down from the attic window. In one they use trees and in the other they go down stairs. 2) The Grim Grinning Ghosts lyrics go: "IF you would like to join our jamboree, there's a simple rule that's compulsory, Mortals pay a token fee, Rest in peace the haunting's free, so hurry back we would like your company." That's a big "if" at the beginning there, isn't it? The song lays out the rules for you IF you want to join their jamboree. The fee for joining is your death, which wouldn't have happened yet if they're telling you how to do it, which they don't do until well after the "fall." 3) The hitchhiking ghosts are following you home to haunt you, but ghosts don't haunt other ghosts. They can gain portability from their location by attaching themselves to a mortal visitor (these aren't rules from the ride, but generally accepted rules about ghosts through most of western culture). 4) Both little Leota and the lyrics of "Grim Grinning Ghosts" ask you to "hurry back" to the Mansion after you leave. Here's the thing - - ghosts don't leave the place where they die. They are typically stuck within a certain distance of the building or patch of property where they were at the time of their death. They certainly don't get into cars or planes and travel someplace else to live (not unless they attach themselves to a mortal host as we discussed above).
