Yo Hana, if you are reading this (which is possible as I know you lurk clips), please feel free to swear all you like. To me, that’s the kinda stuff that makes you more relatable and “real” if you will. I think a ton of us swear all the time during gaming and whatnot and to hear someone else do it is almost refreshing. I personally don’t like the whole “vtuber = pure wholesome” persona people attribute to vtubers as a whole. If we want that shit, then we would stick to normal television.

Actually, yeah, quite relatable. For some reason, swearing in English carries much less weight to me than in Malay - specifically Kedah (Northern) Malay, because speakers of this dialect can be _very_ rude, and I'm speaking as a Kedahan myself.

Most of Indonesian who have access and actively going to English Internet (most of them too) are at least understand most English words and sometimes can speak Eng tho.

I think this is because our very conservative culture here. Swearing in general isn't so taboo or uncommon infact it's super common for people to swear especially teenagers and when you speak with your friends, it's only taboo for women to swear because they have to be "pure" and "feminine", i heard people say it all the time when women swears here " you're a woman, you should speak more delicately", "she has such a foul mouth for a girl", these are comments i hear many times from both my male and female classmates when one of my female friend swear. Keep in mind that swear words have levels at how bad they are in indonesian it's generally acceptable and noone will care if women use words like anjir and bego, but when it's anjing and babi it becomes taboo even if guys say it all the time. Ngentot in other hand is very very bad no matter who say it, i think that's the most vile and taboo word here. Also i'm just saying when it's between friends or when you speak casually here, it's generally taboo no matter what if it isn't between friends or casual talks, like you can't curse when teachers or your parents are nearby
