Solid performance, Jack has always been an exemple to me. Always a great sound and what a technique! A true master at work!

Masterful performance on an exquisite instrument. The high G and high A are like a bridge to another world.

Did the announcer say that Jack Lee played that reed in 1920 and again in 1921? Is Jack Lee related to Conner MacLeod???

If I have read with my rheumy old eyes my 1986 "New Melody Directory - Highland Bagpipe" aright, the music for this tune may be found as follows:
The Laird of Anapool's Lament - Piob Soc Book 9 pge 276, The Piob of Simon Fraser Book 1, pge110, and Ceol Mor Book 1, pge 108.
I haven't bothered yet to actually look a the books, to see whether any light can be shed as to just who the composer and the subject were, but it is indeed a grand tune, well worth the wait (does this tune often appear at this competition?), performed by a Grand Master.
Can anyone add more information about this exceptional tune ?

Looked up tune in PS Books - May have been written by John Dall MacKay. Setting used in PS attributed to Angus MacKay. Laird and Lady of Anapool may or may not have existed. Anapool may be Unapool in north-west Sutherland.

I could be wrong but either that is a very long march or its not an MSR...
