One thing I think it's important to remember is that GoPro footage is really not a good target if you want realism - it has limited contrast and rather approximate colours; real life is much better-looking. Likewise "photo" realism - not all photos are created equal, and if you want realism, be careful what you use as a basis for comparison. The best comparison is personal experience, but obviously that's something most of us won't have.

I've also been using the Premier and Natural Mod ppfilters but lately I switched to AC Realism 2.8 it just seemed a tad better. Haven't tried the True Colors one which imo it looks the best in the vid so I'll give it a try!

Premier is a great PPFilter for sure. But for me personally I find that it blows out the trees in the environments making them look overly high grain or yellowish. I started to stick with Camera Obscura as a PPfilter. It's a great balance and with the most UPDATED Pure package, the lighting is even stronger.
The problem i see in most realism AC videos is that its too dark/bright, colours are too saturated/undersaturated and red color especially from the brake lights look pink. Some of these videos show very good realism but it looks like a dashcam video so its blurry, dark and desaturated. On other "realistic" videos its too bright and with a cartoon palette. I want that Driveclub (nicely desaturated but too dark) or GT7 (color accurate) look. Hard to find. Even some natural filters have weird white balance.

Crucial to remembe is that how things look on your screen is highly dependent on the graphics card you use and your monitor. These are nice starting tips, but don't go chasing Random callsign or any author of these mods why your screen does not look like those in videos and screenshots.
motion blur is better for making cinematics rather than driving, better to use csp blur and increase your noise from 100-200% so if your running a locked 24-60 fps itll look much better rather than 0 motion blur
Personnally i use the sol controller because i found it easier than the pure controller and when you change the weather it's more natural and smooth than the pure controller, i have pure weather script but with the sol controller, but does it also change the weather or no? Because i don't see any difference when i use the pure controller. Also i use a reshade for fakeHDR and natural color and for a sharpen and it look really better.
I'm having a graphical issue with these mods that I can't find anyone talking about. There is a noticeable box around my car where the shaders are more detailed compared to the rest of the surface on tracks like Akina, and on sections where the car's suspension has a lot of downforce, I can spot the shadow under my car clipping through the ground. Any road markings or lines are also unaffected by my car shadow. I can also easily spot the world shadows rendering in at a close distance on any long straight. I have max shadows and latest drivers and I've been turning off CSP settings in hopes of fixing this. Let me know if anyone knows of this issue.
I did this, and it cut my fps in half. I am only using RTX 2070 super, i7 800 & 16gb. I'll upgrade to an all-new system soon when the RTX 4080 super comes out, with i9-14900K and 32 GB. What can I do in the meantime to get a few more fps until I upgrade without losing too much eye candy? Thx in advance if anyone can answer.🙂
I disagree with motion blur.. this is a great video about why some racing games feel slow: ruclips.net/video/e9OriySqLjQ/видео.html Motion blur definitely helps make it feel like you are going faster.. something you want in a racing game.
