Such a pure drive, great pre emission HP from that smooth 6 cylinder. Just magic. Yes it only had 200hp but it felt like so much more. Great sound and amazing drive in such a light car. Can only dream of driving a full Bat Mobile…..
I really hope you broke the sound limit in that CSL because to be given the chance to drive that on an empty track only to be told it's too loud for a 10 minute blast is just ridiculous.

But seeing this makes me even more impressed by Tiff Needell, who narrated stuff like this, like he was doing a voice over from his living room, while doing powerslides. I loved seeing him on The Late Brake Show in the Cossie.

N54 335is is the best bang for buck bmw out there rn, dct, twin turbo, can fit all the m3 parts you want on it 🔥 mines got 475 hp on e50 map and it’s a BLAST
I think the 140 and 240i’s have to be up there because they offer crazy performance mega reliability and tuning potential with the B58 whilst getting mega fuel economy and a lovely modern interior

3.0 CSL is one of my top 5 favorite race cars. Saw one at the BMW Museum and stared at it for 10min.

In South Africa we had a 316 as entry level.
We do too in the UK
I think it was 316 for the compact and 318 for the sedans and coupes, at least that's how it was in Australia.
In Denmark too, because of the ridiculous tax we have on cars.

I was born in 1973 and have the same badges that the CSL has on the steering wheel on my MSport 320. Love those anniversary badges.
