I really love the sound of those strings. Very nostalgic.

What's up with the blur at the top and bottom? Is this a flashback? Is this a dream sequence?

I am a bad person for hiding the bullshit that is irrelevant to you.

So, yes. It’s all a dream! :::waves hand lamely in a poorly-executed magical gesture:::
It’s a shame I don’t do more desktop synths... they fit a video frame a lot better. :D

    This sounds really nice.
I recoiled a little bit when you said "paraphonic", and then I remembered who you are, haha.

You can trust that if I, out of anyone on Earth, describe it as paraphonic... it is paraphonic.

How hard was it to make yourself say bear-RING-er, rather than the butchering bear-RINGE-er that most people including myself say? I've been wondering when you were gonna get in on the Behringer action. It's really about time, they've been making some awesome and awesomely affordable stuff. If you're not such a clone guy, I'm sure you'd like a couple Neutrons or a Deepmind 12.

    • @automaticgainsay

      It wasn’t easy!
I actually met with them and talked about doing the Deepmind 12. I didn’t personally connect with it on a level that I would have liked to, but that was about my tastes and not the function, sound, or quality of the synth. I still encourage people to check it out.

@@automaticgainsay If it's the interface and the multifunction envelope sliders, menu diving, etc the key really is the software editor in conjunction with the physical controller. Having everything up on the screen is really amazing not just because it has such a huge amount of parameters to be seen/controlled all at one time but because you get to see where your previous setting are. You can go back and forth between different value numbers, see how you're recalled presets are set, as well as not feel like you have just the one set of envelope sliders. If it's the sound character, yeah it can be a little on the plain side for an analog synth, but sometimes that's just what the doctor ordered.

Thanks for commenting back Marc. I've been a fan for awhile but especially after your Prince headquarters story which I listened to the whole thing after telling myself I wasn't. When I was in my 20s an old country rocker customer of my mine said I had to read this book. It was this children's adventure story. He lent lent me the book but I pretty much forgot about it. After a month or so he asked me if I had read any of it. I lied and said yes. It was weird to me this old country dude would like some childrens book which in itself is a little interesting, but now I had no choice now but to read at least a couple pages in case he asked about it again. I tried to read to just a few pages but I read the whole thing cover to cover in one sitting! That book was by an unknown author at the time, Jk Rowling and the book was Harry Potter and the Sorcerers stone. It takes alot for me to go cover to cover on something unplanned. You are a good story teller, do more.

Marc! You're keeping very busy lately! And more MicroFreak vids!
Dude, cut it out. You're taking time out of my actual playing.
