You know that every character has an option for reclassing, right? Just reclass her to Warrior and you're good. Or you could just not bring units with bad movement on the escape map. There's also Yuri's Foul Play ability. There are plenty of ways around her limitations.
@@XGame80 I don't remember exactly if my first playthrough (which was hard btw) the bolting mages had any crit or was like 5%-10% because they didn't land any crit. But that's what divine pulse is for.
@@jpbo98 it helps that Yuri's stats are ridiculously good, so if you warp him towards enemies to warp another unit away they'll attack him, miss, and then get critted more often than not.

Ben Collins All monsters do that armour regenerate thing, though. This boss actually doesn’t regenerate its armour if you fully break it, so, long as you break its armour initially, then you can just attack it after it uses its AOE move and avoid counterattacks. Honestly, the final boss itself was my favourite final boss in 3 Houses (Though not my favourite map). For once, the bosses actually have an opening after using their AOE move, like they should do if they've used their most powerful attack, allowing you to deal more damage than it can heal.

Unpopular opinion, but I really liked the dlc. In the base game the pre-battle screen wastes like 30 minutes just to optimize everything because there's just so much stuff. I really enjoyed how limited the dlc was because not only did it make for short pre-battle screens, but it made me feel that things like weapon durability actually mattered again and it added back some layers of strategy missing from the newer titles. I'm not saying the dlc was perfect, I especially wish there would have been more new assets when you consider the price of the pass, but I don't get this whole thing of everyone saying it's almost entirely garbage.

I didn’t really have problems with the assassins. I mostly just baited them with an Edelgard(kept her as a fortress knight)-Dimitri-Yuri-Balthus wall and then used miscellaneous gambits and black magic to take them out. The real fuckers were the snipers that appear around the little square just before the second set of gates. Trying to fit the characters in there to avoid the death golem was really fucking hard them bitches S N I P E D my squishy units.

Chapter 4 is all about planning Linhardt and Edelgard’s movements before anything else. I lost on my final turn because one character was one space short.
Bismix, I had to use all 5 Divine Pulses just to _barely_ get everyone in. That 2nd gate is deceiving since I thought it would reset the turn counter like the 1st gate did. It’s a total red herring that is essentially pointless since the Golem can’t even fit through the preceding small door anyways.
Or, here me out, just don't use anyone but Claude and Dimitri, and stack them with fucking Concorions and Elixers. That's what I ended up doing and I finished pretty fast actually.
I think the part that actually worth $25 isn't Cindered Shadows itself. It's the new characters/classes and the ability to buy 3 rapiers/devil axe/wo daos from the statue through renown in the main game.
I know there’s literally more than just that side story guys, I know there’s the classes, which is why I got it. I just wouldn’t value it at $25. I know you can wear glasses, and have weird outfits that mostly don’t look good, and you can essentially get more weapons, I just don’t value it as highly as you guys (seem to). Very glad I stumbled into your videos. Despite the reinforcements I loved the dlc and carefully crafting out how I was going to tackle maps and what I would be buying with the limited resources. Actually I needed those reinforcements for some challenge in places.

I'm actually a really big fan of the DLC. Giving us a more grounded, puzzle like feel was great. I played on Hard mode classic, and got a total of 3 game overs. One in chapter 2, two in chapter 6. The DLC always felt challenging, with chapter 4 being the highlight. Honestly, for a challenging experience, it's worth the time to sink into it, even if I was consistently in Thracia style panic mode the entire way through.
The problem is that certain chapters are heavily rng reliant to the point where its ridiculous. While some maps were great, others were just downright ridiculous. Also if Ashe dies at all, chapter 6 becomes almost impossible to complete on hard mode without incredible rng luck.
@@CatManThree RNG reliant? I came up with some pretty good strats that don't have a ton of RNG in them. Honestly, the RNG can be easily side-stepped with Iron Weapons +, or combat arts. Besides, you can miss the occasional attack without being entirely screwed. Speaking of chapter 6, My two game overs on hard mode where litterally not even on the Bolting spam, it was trying to take down the boss. The Bolting weapons have crit, but I did most of the map without retribution. Twice.

Ironically the hardest map had no reinforcements, just a bunch of mages with *Bolting* that could hit you most anywhere for half your health.

Despite the reinforcements I loved the dlc and carefully crafting out how I was going to tackle maps and what I would be buying with the limited resources. Actually I needed those reinforcements for some challenge in places.

This dlc introduced the biggest simp in the game, which says a lot when Sylvain and Cyril are characters.

I think we can all agree that the final battle in cindered shadows was a pain in the neck. I couldnt prepare a good gambit on that beast i swear.

I'm actually a really big fan of the DLC. Giving us a more grounded, puzzle like feel was great.
I played on Hard mode classic, and got a total of 3 game overs. One in chapter 2, two in chapter 6. The DLC always felt challenging, with chapter 4 being the highlight. Honestly, for a challenging experience, it's worth the time to sink into it, even if I was consistently in Thracia style panic mode the entire way through.
The problem is that certain chapters are heavily rng reliant to the point where its ridiculous. While some maps were great, others were just downright ridiculous. Also if Ashe dies at all, chapter 6 becomes almost impossible to complete on hard mode without incredible rng luck.
@@CatManThree RNG reliant? I came up with some pretty good strats that don't have a ton of RNG in them. Honestly, the RNG can be easily side-stepped with Iron Weapons +, or combat arts. Besides, you can miss the occasional attack without being entirely screwed.
Speaking of chapter 6, My two game overs on hard mode where litterally not even on the Bolting spam, it was trying to take down the boss. The Bolting weapons have crit, but I did most of the map without retribution. Twice.
