The Main Character is a text book Narcissistic Sociopath, who manipulates everyone around them. Who also has severe control issues, with a violent temper, that causes them to lash out and attack even people that are supposed to be friends, when they disagree with them. Sounds "really fun" to play "Right"?

I feel like the devs will say it's open to interpretation, even tho the game didn't earn the moniker of its story being open to interpretation like how in Inception, it's open to interpretation whether the main character of that movie is awake or still in the dream.
The developers made a game that lets you bully, cancel, and manipulate people, mostly your “friends”. And they have the nerve to sit here and say “we dont tolerate harassment or bullying”. Go to hell.
I can tell you exactly why there was no fail state for the rhythm game and combat. Accessibility. Think about it. These people "claim" to be all about inclusivity and making everyone feel welcomed. But if there were actual consequences to failing, then that would potentially alienate people from the game because they might not be able to play it. But rather than making that an accessibility option people can turn on or off at will, they made that the ONLY option. I'm a blind man, very severe visual impairment but I have enough sight to still play games. I'm playing Black Myth Wukong and some of the bosses have kicked my teeth in. Yellow Wind Sage took me like 6 hours to beat because I had to learn how to dodge his attacks without relying on purely sight. I felt so accomplished when I beat him. If I just respawned in the fight after running out of health, I would have felt so disappointed.
Damn that's amazing! I struggle enough with the bosses I've encountered so far, but I can't imagine beating them without seeing them. This just makes Dustborn feel even worse now. Like it just looks down on the player.

I can see up to about 6-8ft in front of me with relatively perfect clarity and after that everything becomes blurry rapidly. My peripheral field of vision is restricted to... I would say roughly 10% of what someone can normally see. So when it comes to gaming, the only thing that impacts me is the lack of FOV. So if a boss moves around the screen a tiny bit too much I can easily lose track of them and thus have to rely mostly on sound cues in case that happens. I know quite a few blind people who still game and we all have different challenges based on what is actually wrong with us since blindness has different forms and severities. A lot of them are advocating for accessibility options in games, but I believe that is almost exclusively Text related. I don't think any of them want accessibility options that basically just make the game baby mode.
Remember the main character's motivation for hating robots is not something very relatable or profound The reason she hates robots is because she can't use her mind control to mentally manipulate them into doing what she desires Or she can't unconsciously change their minds how to get her way like she does with everyone in this game including her own friends when they are literally having anxiety attacks This is a main character I do not vibe with because I've had to both experienced and have the help others with anxiety attacks

Granted it's probably not a lot from the pockets of each individual, but when you take into consideration the total sum, it's a big issue. The US government alone pumped $250,000 into this game. Think about all the actual issues in the US right now that money could have been better spent on. Think about shit like how many community detox centers that could have opened up to combat the fentanyl crisis. Instead, that went into making this crappy woke agenda BS game. Hell, you've got to ask yourself how much of that government money went into the game itself. If this is "psyop programming", I think the point would be for you to feel exactly the way you do. I started to hate Pax from that very first interaction, and when she went off on that robot and the mechanic tried to step in to deescalate things, I loathed her.
Some game devs behind a shooter talked about the importance of sound design at a conference. Apparently game testers thought one gun did more damage and was OP, but its sound effects were just more impactful.
Couple that with a slower rate of fire and good sound design. People will use it more because it just feels right. As compared to something in a game with a high ROF and that sounds like a rusty chainsaw. That'll be used.
it was enemy territory wolfenstein, both teams had the same weapons mechanically but the looks and sounds were different but the german machine gun just soubded beefier so everyone thought it was beefier
I find it absurd that between two games about buncha people on the bus i experienced this year, one had the most cherished, human cast and story about people struggling with their fears, traumas and mistakes - in mature way,making fictional characters feel relatable, while executing really smart literary settings... while being a fucken mobile game. Play Limbus Company, yall, it's free. Dustborne? I regret every minute of seeing playthrough of it even though i didnt pay a broken coin. Its regressive in terms of talking about mental blocks and anxiety, its vile, tone deaf and insulting to people interacting with it.
The reason there aren't any consequences is because it isn't a game. Its a propaganda movie with some interactive qualities to it. I noticed in a lot of gameplay, it just gives answers to problems or simply prevents you from doing anything out of the accepted parameters. It won't let you lose, its railroading you to play for a message.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that appreciates the nuanced approach to identity/gender confusion in Persona 4. Naoto becomes mature enough to confront her inner delusion that she needs to be a man to become her ideal self. Kanji is interesting too. He actually does like girls, but his past experiences being insulted by them caused him to fear and despise them, which gave him a sort of sexist complex that messed with his head so much that his shadow self started directing his sexual energy towards other men. After his shadow is defeated, he is able to accept that he can be a man and also like arts and crafts etc. Thanks to this healing process he was able to have friendships with girls and accept his natural attraction to Naoto.

I may not have done a great job explaining it, but it's definitely more nuanced than that in the game. And also it's just one guy's story. There are other male characters who get rejected more than Kanji who are super straight.

The game implies that feelings can be justified as a basis for imposing beliefs on others, regardless of any other considerations. The conclusion is that the Puritans are also acting on emotions, but their feelings aren't as intense as Pax’s. As another RUclipsr noted about the game, it’s like a strange version of "might makes right," but with the intensity of emotions instead of physical power. And that the game's message being that you can't fact check a feeling, the message being an ad for a dystopian future where not even our feelings are safe from technological intervention, hinting at a world where the next wave of high tech propaganda might be more subtle and pervasive, cloaked as beneficial or necessary by the "good" guys in power (As the game tries to explain, the "good" guys, unlike the "bad" guys, are allowed to spread misinformation and manipulate feelings without directly lying, because it's considered acceptable. Because the "good" guys's misinformation, it's not really misinformation, because not everything is true or false like Axiom said-some things are "uncertain").
I will state this: this is probably the worst game ever, worse than big rigs over the road racing. At least that one didn't try and take itself seriously like this misery is
Pax is the worst, twisted version of the Dragonborn from Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Perhaps we were too harsh on Faye from Forspoken. At least you could periodically hear her emotions in her VA.

One of them gay, the other, depends a bit on how you play him but most likely bi. Disco Elysium is widely considered a 10/10 game, 8/10 at the LEAST. Representation is not the problem.

Chazz, I tried to watch the livestream but only made it to part 2. My god, this game is so boring. Glorified walking simulator with qte events. the steam reviews... are definitely something. its got a mostly positive rating (which i though was weird cuz the general consensus was that it sucked), and the "positive" reviews feel wrong... most of them are like how they liked the story and dialogue. maybe tlou, undertale, and bo2 spoiled me but from what ive seen, it cant even be considered "alright".
Also I want to add that one of said positive reviews had a yt link that led to an hour long video. I sure as hell wasn't going to watch it cuz, yknow, an hour. The developers made a game that lets you bully, cancel, and manipulate people, mostly your “friends”. And they have the nerve to sit here and say “we dont tolerate harassment or bullying”. Go to hell.
I can tell you exactly why there was no fail state for the rhythm game and combat. Accessibility.
Think about it. These people "claim" to be all about inclusivity and making everyone feel welcomed. But if there were actual consequences to failing, then that would potentially alienate people from the game because they might not be able to play it.
But rather than making that an accessibility option people can turn on or off at will, they made that the ONLY option.
I'm a blind man, very severe visual impairment but I have enough sight to still play games. I'm playing Black Myth Wukong and some of the bosses have kicked my teeth in. Yellow Wind Sage took me like 6 hours to beat because I had to learn how to dodge his attacks without relying on purely sight.
I felt so accomplished when I beat him. If I just respawned in the fight after running out of health, I would have felt so disappointed.
Damn that's amazing! I struggle enough with the bosses I've encountered so far, but I can't imagine beating them without seeing them. This just makes Dustborn feel even worse now. Like it just looks down on the player.

I can see up to about 6-8ft in front of me with relatively perfect clarity and after that everything becomes blurry rapidly. My peripheral field of vision is restricted to... I would say roughly 10% of what someone can normally see.
So when it comes to gaming, the only thing that impacts me is the lack of FOV. So if a boss moves around the screen a tiny bit too much I can easily lose track of them and thus have to rely mostly on sound cues in case that happens.
I know quite a few blind people who still game and we all have different challenges based on what is actually wrong with us since blindness has different forms and severities.
A lot of them are advocating for accessibility options in games, but I believe that is almost exclusively Text related. I don't think any of them want accessibility options that basically just make the game baby mode.
Undertale, Faith, and Fear & Hunger were each made by one person. Hades has a super small dev team. This game has no excuse.

I started to hate Pax from that very first interaction, and when she went off on that robot and the mechanic tried to step in to deescalate things, I loathed her.
Some game devs behind a shooter talked about the importance of sound design at a conference. Apparently game testers thought one gun did more damage and was OP, but its sound effects were just more impactful.
Couple that with a slower rate of fire and good sound design. People will use it more because it just feels right. As compared to something in a game with a high ROF and that sounds like a rusty chainsaw. That'll be used.

The reason there aren't any consequences is because it isn't a game. Its a propaganda movie with some interactive qualities to it. I noticed in a lot of gameplay, it just gives answers to problems or simply prevents you from doing anything out of the accepted parameters. It won't let you lose, its railroading you to play for a message.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that appreciates the nuanced approach to identity/gender confusion in Persona 4. Naoto becomes mature enough to confront her inner delusion that she needs to be a man to become her ideal self.
Kanji is interesting too. He actually does like girls, but his past experiences being insulted by them caused him to fear and despise them, which gave him a sort of sexist complex that messed with his head so much that his shadow self started directing his sexual energy towards other men. After his shadow is defeated, he is able to accept that he can be a man and also like arts and crafts etc. Thanks to this healing process he was able to have friendships with girls and accept his natural attraction to Naoto.
This looks like "men that are rejected will be into men, losers" vibes, but I didn't play the game, so I can't affirm this.

The conclusion is that the Puritans are also acting on emotions, but their feelings aren't as intense as Pax’s.
As another RUclipsr noted about the game, it’s like a strange version of "might makes right," but with the intensity of emotions instead of physical power. And that the game's message being that you can't fact check a feeling, the message being an ad for a dystopian future where not even our feelings are safe from technological intervention, hinting at a world where the next wave of high tech propaganda might be more subtle and pervasive, cloaked as beneficial or necessary by the "good" guys in power (As the game tries to explain, the "good" guys, unlike the "bad" guys, are allowed to spread misinformation and manipulate feelings without directly lying, because it's considered acceptable. I hate cheap games like this who hide behind their agenda to push out cheap lazy crap. There are a good few LGBT+ games that put blood, sweat, and tears into their development without government handouts. Those people deserve what the devs of this game think they're entitled to.

Disco Elysium is widely considered a 10/10 game, 8/10 at the LEAST.

the steam reviews... are definitely something. its got a mostly positive rating (which i though was weird cuz the general consensus was that it sucked), and the "positive" reviews feel wrong... most of them are like how they liked the story and dialogue. maybe tlou, undertale, and bo2 spoiled me but from what ive seen, it cant even be considered "alright".

This game is actually pretty good and accurate if you look at it in the Southpark parody style; it exactly shows why people don't like the Twitter woke culture... Does the game tell the player that it plays a "hero" character? IMO people don't like the "woke" culture because it's literally fashism (main reason)...
