I really like your workouts, I have an ez bar and I'm trying them all. One question, these types of workouts are good for those like me who want to gain muscle mass, or who only train resistance?
Hello, and thank you for joining! Absolutely, these workouts can help you building muscle. Just make sure you keep progressing with weights or train with proper intensity. Also pay close attention to your nutrition. Have a well balanced, high protein diet for proper growth 🙏👍
Great workout I have a 19kg ez bar I was just wondering would I need to do more reps with the lightweight I used to be full time push pull legs for about 7yrs have nt been for about 5months looking to just train at home
Thanks Ashley! If you find the weight is not challenging you enough you can go for more reps for sure. You can still build muscle with a high rep lighter weight workout, this would place more metabolic stress on the muscles which is one of the 3 mechanisms of hypertrophy 👍 One thing to add, since the weight is lighter you may feel the need to do the reps at a faster tempo, I would make sure to focus on proper form and after a certain amount of reps once you feel like the muscle being fatigued then slow down those reps and really try to focus on the muscle being worked (don't just lift the weight, focus on training the muscle instead) Keep up the good work! 💪
Don't have this mat anymore but I believe it was 4ft wide and 6ft in length. It was huge, very thick and heavy. Great mat for using heavy weights. Thanks for joining in! 🤜💥🤛
Good question. I went with a weight that I could perform all the exercises with proper form without having to take off or add weight to the bar, for me that was a pair of 25lb plates. Everyones weight selection will be a little different based on their goals/size etc... If you have extra plates and find some exercises easier, definitely load it up so it's challenging. In the future I will add more workouts with a variety or weights, drop sets etc.. Those workouts will have more rest time in between for everyone to switch up plates. Also if the squats are very easy and you only have one pair of plates, you could slow down the eccentric movement, take 5-10 seconds on the way down and hold it at the bottom position of the squat for a few seconds before coming up. Doing it this way can be effective with bodyweight only workouts too. Thanks for the question Andrew, have a good week man🙌💪
Many movements will be similar with the barbell, like horizontal pushing, pulling movements. The grip placement will feel different when using a barbell because it is straight and your wrists will be locked in a supinated position for exercises like bicep curls. Personally I prefer using the ez bar for triceps also, like skull crushers, overhead extension etc.... I find the grip/wrist positioning works better for me. Everyone is different though, I would leave out any exercises that feel uncomfortable to perform. The size/weight is also different in both bars, ez bar is lighter and much shorter. Easier to move around for exercises.
Am planning to do body recompostion! Been following your excercises! Am feeling good after doing this excercises! Is it possible for me gain muscle mass? Just with the fullbody workout regime? (with a proper diet)
Good question, since it's a full body workout I would leave a rest day in between workouts to give your muscles time to repair/recover. You could do this workout Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with HIIT, core or cardio Tuesday, Thursday and take the weekend off. If you find this too easy you could make it a 40min workout by completing 2 rounds with a short break in between each round. I have some killer EZ bar workouts coming soon👊 Thanks for joining in! 💪
Thank you so much for this video, implementing this routine should help get me where I want to go. I will say seeing your balance in those shoes looks uncomfortable. They have so much give, have you though of trying something like zero or vivobarefoot? More confidence in your step. :)
Anytime! 🤝 Thanks for joining in Dustin. I usually where converse didn't have them for this one, thats my go to for lower body days, I have always wanted to try out those vivobarefoot, they look like a solid choice! Good call 👍 Here's a playlist you might find useful, it's an EZ bar only playlist, I'll keep adding routines to over time, ruclips.net/p/PLSSeiOUGC2NPGkMjnPRkoXca6-dcZ1efh Keep up the good work! 🔥💪
Don’t have any barbells. Will try this with sandbags and DBs. Looking 👀 forward to it! Thanks for the workout 🏋🏻♀️ vid! 💪👏😊 Wide stance looks like sumo squat, is that the same? 🤔
Awesome! Sandbags and DB's will work💪 Funny you mentioned it, on my workout paper I called it sumo squat but when editing I changed it to wide stance squat 😂 Same thing basically though, Let me know how the workout goes🙂 Thanks for the support!
@@ChrisEdi The workout 🏋🏻♀️ was great, thanks! I finished with one of your 15 min HIIT videos for a cardio finisher. Was pretty exhausted after all that! Looking forward to more workouts from you!! Stay strong! 💪👏😃
Hi Mohamed, I would recommend for you to first go through the video and try out each exercise to get a feel for the movement. Yes you can do all these exercises at once, this is the whole workout. As a beginner I would also recommend you take more rest time in between each exercise. Feel free to pause the video once it is the rest portion and take as much time as you need before starting the next exercise. Let's go for quality reps for each exercise, when you're better rested you will be able to perform better. Really focus on proper form and controlling the weight, focus on training the muscle instead of focusing on lifting the weight. This will help build up your mind muscle connection which will be super important for your workouts over time. 👊 Here's a 7 Day EZ Bar routine you can follow along to - www.chrispecsi.com/ezbar-fullbody-7dayroutine 🍎 Nutrition is very important - Here's a free nutrition guide - www.chrispecsi.com/nutrition-guidance 💪 Here's a free supplement guide - www.chrispecsi.com/supplementsguide Here's a playlist of only EZ Bar workouts - ruclips.net/p/PLSSeiOUGC2NPGkMjnPRkoXca6-dcZ1efh Being a beginner is one of the best times in Fitness! Enjoy it man 💪 But remember to take your time on each workout and practice the movements. Thanks for joining in! 🤝 Let me know if you have any questions anytime!
I wouldn't say better, both are good but it's always good to switch up training variables from time to time, like sets, intensity, reps, volume, rest time etc... Progressively overloading your muscles will be important as you grow stronger. You can build muscle many ways. I would Google the 3 mechanisms of hypertrophy (muscle growth) 👍 Lots of good research out there. Thanks for joining in! 👊
Good question, For this workout I used 25lbs plates. Choose a weight that challenges you but more importantly allows you to use proper form. My goal for this workout was for the whole workout to be done with just one set of plates as many people only have one set at home. I'm creating more EZ bar workouts in the future that will have more rest time between exercises so we can all change plates at the same time, add more or take off weight for certain exercises. Have a good weekend 💪👊
@@ChrisEdi awesome thank you! Also as a follow up, do you know if this workout helps to keep biting calories afterwards? Is it an effective workout to do for those who have little time to do full body workouts on a weekly basis?
@@ongzkeejepongzkee8886 Great choice 👍 You're going to love it. Just fininshed recording an EZ Bar Upper Body workout, It will be out Monday. If you have any questions about your bar or exercises, let me know anytime 🤜
Try to not grip the EZ bar so tight. I find a lot of clients tend to grip the bar (squeeze it) too hard, this will cause your forearms and biceps/triceps to tense up and take the real focus away from the exercises main muscle target. Pretend your fingers are just hooks when you grip the bar and focus more on the target muscle. For the wide grip bent over row focus on retracting your elbows, don't grip the bar too tight and lift the weight with your lats, this should help take tension off your biceps. For any exercise you are doing try to zero in on the target muscle (mind muscle connection) and put all your attention on it throughout the entire movement. Thanks for joining in the workout! :) Have a great weekend.
I want to be clear and honest in your workouts your 30 seconds start And I count sometimes 6 reps maximum 7 in your set I did what you did but I did 10 sometimes 12 reps in the 30 seconds you cheat a bit I notice I also had 10 kg weight on either side of ez bar maybe your weight was to heavy for you I enjoyed the workout though thanks
Great to hear you're crushing your workouts! 👊 Definitely make each workout your own, if you feel like adding more reps go for it. Once you start to get used to doing the 12 reps in 30 sec, try doing 5-6 reps and really focus on the eccentric portion of the lift (lowering slowly) Take 5 seconds and really focus on form, I think you'll also love it! Plus it's fun to change things up from time to time. Once you want to change up your routine, Here's a solid modified Push/Pull/Legs routine I think you would enjoy! Do what you're doing and make each workout your own. 💪 Monday - PUSH | ruclips.net/video/0oPpZgmQW6w/видео.html Tuesday - PULL | ruclips.net/video/Oacjb44Ksqw/видео.html Wednesday - LEGS | ruclips.net/video/QfhCau5uKlk/видео.html Thursday - OPTIONAL HIIT/ABS or ACTIVE REST | ruclips.net/video/Mr6T23c2Qrc/видео.html ruclips.net/video/o2f4wiQ8D4o/видео.html Friday - FULL UPPER | ruclips.net/video/Y0BUCuqkeU8/видео.html Saturday - LEGS | ruclips.net/video/QfhCau5uKlk/видео.html Sunday - REST You can swap and start the week with Pull or Legs, Up to you. Don’t have any barbells. Will try this with sandbags and DBs. Looking 👀 forward to it! Thanks for the workout 🏋🏻♀️ vid! 💪👏😊
Wide stance looks like sumo squat, is that the same? 🤔
@@danickale8469 That's amazing to hear! 😁 Lot's more workouts coming up, we're just getting started 💪 Have a great weekend🤙
I'm a beginner.
Is it ok to do all these workout at once

@@ChrisEdi thank you so much for this detailed reply. I'm using 6kg weight plates each sides. Is it enough. I've planned gradually increase it.
@@mohamednuskhan7526 Anytime! 👊 Yes start with the 6kg and slowly increase as you go, good plan 👍
is that better than doing 3 sets of 5-7-8-10-12 reps?
I wouldn't say better, both are good but it's always good to switch up training variables from time to time, like sets, intensity, reps, volume, rest time etc... Progressively overloading your muscles will be important as you grow stronger. You can build muscle many ways. I would Google the 3 mechanisms of hypertrophy (muscle growth) 👍 Lots of good research out there. Thanks for joining in! 👊
@@ChrisEdi thanks for the fast reply man
and thanks for all the info
much love from greece
@@powder1453 Anytime man! 🤝 Have a good week brother.
Ez bar size?
This is a standard 47inch ez bar. I used 25lbs plates on the bar for this workout. Thanks for joining in! 🤝
@@ChrisEdi each plates 25lbs?
@@mohamednuskhan7526 Yes each plate 25lbs 👍
@@ChrisEdi thanks 🤗
@@mohamednuskhan7526 Anytime! 😄🤝
How much weight? 🤔🤔
@@ChrisEdi thanks for the info ❤️❤️

I'm sure it varies, but how many calories do you think this workout burns around?
Hey 👋 Not sure to be honest. Depends on the intensity and weights used. Probably somewhere around 200-250 Cals.
@@ChrisEdi awesome thank you! Also as a follow up, do you know if this workout helps to keep biting calories afterwards? Is it an effective workout to do for those who have little time to do full body workouts on a weekly basis?
- What is the length of your Ez Bar, sir?
The bar is 47inches 👍Thanks for joining in! 🤝
@@ChrisEdi -- thanks sir, i was planning to buy an Ez Bar..
@@ongzkeejepongzkee8886 Great choice 👍 You're going to love it. Just fininshed recording an EZ Bar Upper Body workout, It will be out Monday. If you have any questions about your bar or exercises, let me know anytime 🤜
I only feel the workouts in my biceps, am I doing something wrong?
@@ChrisEdi thank you so much, you too
Hey bro
My bro 🤜
👍👍👍👍
🙌🙌
I want to be clear and honest in your workouts your 30 seconds start And I count sometimes 6 reps maximum 7 in your set I did what you did but I did 10 sometimes 12 reps in the 30 seconds you cheat a bit I notice I also had 10 kg weight on either side of ez bar maybe your weight was to heavy for you I enjoyed the workout though thanks
Great to hear you're crushing your workouts! 👊
Definitely make each workout your own, if you feel like adding more reps go for it.
