Old was my Grandfather’s hammer. New is one of two I bought at Home Depot when I heard they were no longer carrying the Estwing brand. So I bought the blue handle and leather handle since they were on sale.
Im happy to share that I already bought my dream hammer. The Estwing 16oz rip claw with a lovely blue handle like yours🥰 "American Made from American Steel"🔥 Nice video!👍 -from Philippines here
Not sure what you were trying to get across . You have two different style’s of hammers a worn waffle head framing hammer and a smooth face finish style hammer which is new so? Still not clear on your point of the video
Yeah... That first one needs a grinder took to it. Hit that finger with that waffle head and it busts the end of your finger. Waffles also tend to make a ringing noise. The rest of the crew hates you if your hammer rings.
I like the 1st one i got a 24 oz leather grip and love estwing ❤
I have the doppelgänger to that old estwing in my box , paint stains , worn grip , and all , lol.
Still got and use my old Estwing 20oz . Been in the trades since 1969
@@bobleclair5665 I have my grandfather’s Estwing. Not sure how to date it. The blue handle is no longer blue though.
@@sa3key mine went green a long time ago
One is a framer and one is a finish hammer. Glad I could clear this mystery up for you

I tried a waffle head hammer once, took off some skin. I wouldn’t let a waffle head on a finish job
@@bobleclair5665 yes sir not something you want to see in the finish carpenters hand .
