    This has proved so true for myself. My marriage of 27 years ended 3 years ago and at the time it felt like the worst thing in the world. I’ve lived alone since it happened and I’ve never felt in a better place, I was also on antidepressants for around 13 years and decided to replace them with music and looking into things like spirituality and philosophy and all of a sudden things began to make sense.

      After 27 years divorce, it is very difficult and rare in lndia, l am wondering after this long years.....🤔 I will tell these 27 years relationship was absolutely fake, no l am not wondering because all these are happening in West but nowadays in lndia also divorce rate and extra marital relationship is high, l am not blaming but telling only mere facts because look at French president's wife, she divorced his husband after 30 years marriage, after she married her daughter's classmate, remember my dear "our human mind works in such a way" "No relationship is permanent" this is a basic fact , we need a guts if we need a permanent relationship, a great courage is necessary, Buddha says that change is the basic nature of life, each moment everything changes, except change everything changes, so our relationships also, we must understand and accept this reality first, we all are came here alone and we all are go alone from here between this our relationships make our life difficult, we can live alone, in fact l forgot human kind except those who deserve our love and help, don't think about people who have everything except people who have no food, shelter, clothes and such who affected war and other problems, in my personal experience l learned l don't need to care or think about people who have enough food to eat in three times, good house, vehicle and money and everything, l completely avoid such people from my life because they use us and only exploit us, we will become heart broken, see always remember Jesus's words, to know the tree according to its fruits, good tree gives good fruits bad tree bad.
      Forget the people who don't want you, please don't remember anymore about them, still you think about them, it is a great sin you do to yourself, first priority in your life is your own peace of mind only, so you are responsible to keep that , your peace of mind, take responsibility of your mind, do not allow anybody to ruine it, like Osho says no compromise with anybody, don't allow anybody to take away your inner peace and happiness, like Buddha says be a light unto yourself.
      My dear, forget humanity and look at outside you can see the presence of God silence, no animal, no tree, river, or rain or sun ir moon nothing make our life difficult, nobody is going to depress a dog said this , a cat cheated, a cow hurt, a tree did this and that , so you must aware about human beings nature, because nobody have the power and control over himself instead our mind always works in opposit way, even if we try our human mind will destroy our good relationships, mind called in old days devil or satsn, a few people won the victory over mind, like Buddha, Jesus, Osho and some others. So forgive and forget the person you had relationship in 27 years, he or she is unable to give good things because his or her mind acted in such way, but you don't find excuses to remember them again, one day, time, good or bad both memories will betaken away from us, so forget them and you go your own way, throw away your anti depressants, do good exercises, eat good health food, at least one hour sit silently, then your inner voice will speak you , you can hear that voice, that is God he was always there we don't have time sit for him, we are always with other people, wasting our life, so look at outside you can see many different type tress, plant, flowers, everything is different and unive in many ways, leaves different, flowers different, smell different, taste different, colour different, see how wonderful all these, how great life, who is behind this God, look at pets and animals, their love , they will never disbelief us, if we love once they will love us always, but we and our human mind is cunning and tempts us to find human love, please never ever want human love, it is temporal and makes great agony.
      Best wishes dear.

    Being in solitude is a life style to me. I grew up in loneliness just because I was always hurt by members of my family and beyond. People judged me my looks and give me the impression that I don't reason right and also saw as not fit to work in other words, am lazy. But they got it all wrong. That's why I always say people should learn how judge others from what they can do not from their looks. How good is it to be alone ! First by being alone, I became fastest learner of my time in school which left people to become very amazed and their way thinking towards me. Be alone caused me to become very focused and to avoid making wrong decisions in life. Living alone made me to love myself, stay from unnecessary problems .

      I presume you are still young person in his 30ties or even younger. But if you spend your 50 or 60 years by yourself you might feel lack of communication with other humans or presence of even an animal in your life. I am not saying any human will do. But a friend of the same kind is always helpful. Complete isolation from external world may prove your solitude is your greatest weakness an attempt to shut down the social life and escapism into world of fantasy. If you are working on Zen or Taoism, Yoga or Science, then it is helpful. But if you are lost, in thoughts and conflicting emotions this aloneness might lead you to nervous breakdown in 5 to 10 years or will make you restless with panic attacks. Buy a dog or a cat at least to have companion of an animal if humans are too difficult for you to contact with. When you get sick or paralyzed who will bring you groceries or cash welfare cheques...?

My point is that “being alone” is not bad especially if you love animals & you have great communication skills with anything that lives & enjoy great activities & a life learner (taking classes & other courses)Let’s face it whether married or not at some point we will loose our love ones by death/divorce, we better accept aloneness moving forward in life & eventually because of our wonderful personalities & kind attitudes we will be a magnet to a person who wants to be in our life so we will not be alone. So true.
    I have been mostly alone in my life.
    I am 100 per cent happy and I appreciate everything I have and all the help I could give.
    People want to live in one room like me so they can also travel.
    I am so greatful for all the places I have seen.

    I can look back at an enormously impressive line of great accomplishments.
    Most of them, especially the biggest and best happened while I was single.
    Now I'm retired and before I go to sleep I can't believe that this insanely interesting life is mine.
    My mind goes places where most people would not follow me and the things I did would have looked too risky to others.
    I am a very friendly person and in case I want a conversation or some company I know how to get it.
    My life is awesome! Thank you God for all of my talents and abilities.

    Tried a couple marriages, each with 2 kids from scratch ... Last one lasted 26 years, but then, she (14 years younger) grew bored I guess _ went her own way. So, 76, a bit crippled up from a concussion a few years back. Can use some help with house & grounds, but being alone suits me . Brief assn w Meyers&Briggs suggested the rare IFNJ whatever, but .. .just as well being alone. Most time with most others. Seems insipid, so....bff & buddy died in a car wreck few years ago, no real others, son living with me to help out at the moment, but he can't be too happy suspending his life, but we get along, maintaining the family home we built in the 60's, a few houses back from southern Lk Michigan, so life is comfortable, financially tight in a too-big house (city property taxes are $600 a MONTH keeps me mostly broke with current inflation though I get a pretty good Soc Sec amount, (just over 2K/month) it all goes fast! Even with son working construction jobs ...31 & a very talented carpenter.
    Wonder how so many even making it as I'm damn tight under pretty fair conditions!

    I read comments here, and it is very fascinating. Most personal stories are similar to some extent. I may probably have lived being alone once I had been attracted to spiritual world. I never planned to be alone but one situation led me to another one without even knowing it. I couldn't find it easy till these days.

    Benefits of living alone.
    1-it can make you more efficient, your mind is more focused, your energies are not scattered;
    2-it sparks ideas & creativity in us;
    people who spend time alone are:
    3-fast learners; 4-happier than others; 5-good listeners and get respect in society;
    6-it improves your relationships;
    7-it can improve your brain & mental health; produces less cortisol and more dopamine & serotonin (happiness hormones);
    8-it helps you in meditation and increases your self-awareness.

    Thank-you. I am living alone for the first time for me. I have been today writing humorous stores to my bro-in-law in email about the place I used to live which was packed with many people due to the Pandemic.
    It was like an entertaining but useless personal experience. I got little to no benefit from being with those crazy people. I also was getting a little crazy myself. Now I am alone as far as my apartment goes. Also I am sorting everything out mentally.🎉

    As a someone who wanted to do something in my life or change the course of my life away from the routine norms. I longed to be alone even tho I’ve never experienced consecutive days of it, just one or two when other house people are away temporarily. Living with other people can make your mind non creative and become procrastinator. it depends on who you’re living with I guess and their attitude towards you. My experience was horrible. No matter how hard I try to make my mind creative if people around you keeps on emitting bad vibes and indirectly ruining your day thru their acts and attitudes towards you. Your mind will refuse to be creative. Oh… it can become darkly creative tho.. for expressing your griefs and disappointments and hate towards the people. But it can never be brightly creative. It needs good inspiration to create good ideas. My case… I’m tired of housing dark ideas in my head and I’m tired of breeding hate. I want to create some bright ones but the situation won’t allowed.
