    I WAS THERE
What an incredible day - so many artists but after being hit in day it got cold at night . Went to Metal day also
WEAR my festive T-shirt to all my concerts still. It turned 41 yrs old this yr, starting to get a little thin
Triump/ Scorpion we’re best on Metal day & Stevie & David Bowie ROCKED

“I have to give her back, right?” says Stevie as her face crumpled...that hit me hard. I have 4 kids, Stevie loved and probably really wanted children, but but I think that Stevie would have wanted to be the kind of mother whose children were the centre of her existence, not a mother doing her job that would keep her in recording studios, writing, on the road. I’m sure she saw the children of her peers often enough to know that it isn’t the most ideal situation for kids, especially when the missing parent is a mother. I can imagine it was a hard choice to make too.

If you’re worried about how Stevie holds the girl at 10:00- I have worked with kids for years and they LOVE that. My charges used to BEG me to spin them round by their arms until we were dizzy and falling over. Safest way to hold them is to grip around the wrists, like aerial acrobats do - and they pull and hang by the arms like that all the time! - but it’s honestly fine. Stevie loves kids and is very good with them! Also this is a gorgeous concert, gets me emotional every time- blame it on my wild heart! 💕

Such an incredible performance, despite the fact she was going through so much. She finished the Mirage tour with the band one year before this, then recorded the album from the fall until the WH album was released just weeks before the wild heart tour started. Her best friend that she'd known since she was 15 had passed away from Leukemia in the fall of '82 when this album was being recorded. When this tour was going on, she was married to her best friends husband, and was helping care for their premature son who would have been around 1 year old when this performance was recorded. With that said, this was one of her lowest points, especially when it comes to her substance abuse. So sad to see her like this, but she even with all that going on, she still showed up for her fans

Robin died in October 1982, she married Kim Anderson in January 1983, because they were both deranged by grief, so Stevie could care for Matthew, a marriage that lasted only 3 months before Stevie came back to her senses. She did US Live in May, and this tour to support Wild Heart..she WAS freakin’ out of her mind. She was also doing a heap of drugs to deal with that...and she’s performing up a storm nonetheless, most people wouldn’t be able to get up out of bed after all that Stevie had been through in those 12 months.

Add to the coke the loss of her very best childhood friend through cancer and you have this kind of performance. For me even though it is a poor standard for Stevie I love it and think it is agreat performance given the pain she was going through here, Stevie still streets ahead of the rest ewver the professional .

Agree but white wing dove tour was also her very first tour AND it was a short tour. Not to mention she wasnt drinking as much and doing as much coke back then. Also she was probably pretty worn out. She went straight from the recording studio and out on a huge tour. I think there were many factors at play. Not to mention sll the physical activity onstage HAD to be taking a toll on her body.....hips, knees. Our joints can only take so much as we age

I got so frustrated with this lighting team. The whole concert is practically in darkness.
