All reviews I've seen said the same thing: this is a bike for a first ride. I've also seen others videos and the negative point is always its maximum speed, but to someone who is starting at the motorcycle world the top speed isn't the goal. Thanks for your review and greetings from Brazil.
Another thing I didn't think of is older riders. There are experienced riders who are simply looking for something easier, lighter and lower to the ground, and they also enjoy the Meteor.
who needs a bike that will go 150mph anyway??,what speed is most riding done at..probably 50-70 mph..a good comfortable speed that will also allow you to enjoy the journey.. this size makes a lot of sense
I'm still waiting for the Meteor here in Belgium. After 35 years of motorcycling, I'm looking for something really cool and comfortable. I am surprised that you are complaining about the comfort of the saddle and the suspension because according to the Indian tests they put the comfort of this bike in the foreground, so that scares me a little ... As soon as it will be available in Belgium, I will test it and I will also look for the comfort saddle option. Thank you for the test and the feedback.
The bike is comfortable, for sure. In terms of riding position, ergonomics, the ride itself... it's only the bigger hits that were unexpectedly jarring. It seems like the suspension is just too stiff for me (I'm about 150 lb). As for the seat, the shape is really nice, and I thought it would be as cushy as the Himalayan seat, but it's not. At least not the Fireball seat. I haven't sampled the Stellar of the Supernova, which have upgraded seats. Thanks!

Great review! I just purchased the fireball yellow. You describe perfectly everything about this bike. I am a beginner rider and I love it. Just like you say, it is a gateway because I know that I will be buying more bikes in the future as my experience progresses. I am trying to convince my friends to learn to ride. Sending love and respect from northern Indiana.
I agree with Mia, this is a great review! I also just bought the Meteor in fireball yellow and am loving it. I rode a dirt bike as a teenager and then in my late forties decided to get on the road. I think the meteor 350 is the perfect bike to start riding on! I live in the suburbs of Los Angeles and while I’ve not seen another one on the road yet, I see they are selling really well at the dealer I bought mine from.
Very accurate video on this bike- well done! I own the bike in California. ( one test ride and i took it home) Good linear acceleration comfortable ergonomics soft suspension over bumps. Love the round cylinder head- very sexy. the heel toe shifter option on it is a classy touch- easy to use. Not sure whether ride it or just pull up a chair and stare at it. To your point- 1-4 gears are very usable around town with good spacing and the fifth gear is an actual overdrive for the highway. Hi Jean, excellent review and article with your friend and his old Scout. I just added a Fireball Yellow to the stable and your comments are spot on. Excellent handling especially responsive to counter steering. Very comfortable riding position but like you I don't get on well with the seat. I have yet to ride the Interceptor 650 but I hope to someday. And yes, the design and attention to detail on the Meteor 350 speaks for itself. RE did a wonderful job. Thank you for the kind words!
Very informative video and beautiful location too. Love from India❤️ though in India we get more options in smaller capacity engine's like Suzuki Intruder 150 and Bajaj Avenger 160 but this can't be ignored so definitely worth buying.
In the U.S. a small displacement like a 150 would not be allowed on the highway. This is probably why they are less popular here. Many places you need to go on the highway in order to get around--especially in California.
Please do some research before making a fool of yourself by thrusting crap local brands in comparison with international brands built to match each country’s motor rules!
People wouldn't agree with me, but I would compare this against Harley Davidson Iron 883. The Meteor lacks the 883's bigger engine, price and noise, but shares relaxed riding experience. It's a good for someone who doesn't demand performance. Now, in Canada, prices are much higher than US. It's not a deal at all.
Excellent review! You have an understated style to your videos which is very refreshing to watch. I have a Meteor in India and it's a surprisingly accomplished machine. What is that lovely Looker of a helmet?
In germany we said... "The way is the goal" (or so) An this is the way, to ride a Royal Enfield or simalarly bikes. No stress...only enjoy the streets, the countryside...have fun... it's good for your soul....😎
70-80 mph or kmph speed is enough for anyone. i honestly don't like riding at high speed. Enjoying the ride and cruising through with comfort is more important for me and 350CC gives you economy as well.
Wow, great review: clear, thorough, insightful, and I love that you started with a story about your first bike! My first bike was a 1962 Honda 150 that I bought the day I turned 15-1/2 (in 1968) and I've been riding ever since (though not on my first bike!). I've had many bikes (including a Victory Kingpin and a Triumph Bonnie right now), but the RE Meteor has *really* piqued my interest. Your review is among the best I've watched, and I'm happy to become a subscriber. (It's also nice that you seem to be based on the Central Coast of my home state!) Keep up the great work! [EDIT: On closer reading, I guess you may not actually be *based* on the Central Coast, but even if not, props for choosing it as a testing ground! Also, having test-ridden a Meteor just this morning, I agree with you that this is a good entry-level bike; but I also feel that it has potentially strong appeal for us older riders who no longer want to wrestle with heavy cruisers or touring bikes and would like to return to something light, simple, and fun, just like we rode, well, 50 years ago!] :-)
Hi Pete! You're close... I'm a SoCal native, but I've spent a fair amount of time in the Central Coast. Even went to college at UCSB. :) It's always been a special place for me. Life just seems to slow down a little when you're tucked in those sleepy hills. If I could afford it, I'd still be living there! Thank you for the kind words. Very glad you enjoyed the review! So what's the verdict after your test ride? Are you going to buy a Meteor 350? Let me know. :)
This was the final review I saw before booking the Supernova. It has a more comfortable seat and the windscreen like you stated in your video. Thanks for this. Very informative and I felt the same things as you when I tested it. 💙
Lovely video and bike, really got me even more interested in getting the Meteor, really conveyed the sense of little 1st freedom cruiser. I am looking to get a bike next spring and while there is appeal in getting a big bang for your bike horsepower wise by going to used early 2000s sportsbike route, I might just do the sensible thing and get a new Meteor.
Yes, really depends on what you want out of your purchase. If you think you'll be wanting more power, there are also some really great sport naked bikes on the market you might want to check out.
Nice review. Good commuter, outer suburb bike that includes short trips on freeways. Power is adequate and single cylinder should mean low maintenance costs. I’d add a screen and a large top box on the back - I don’t need a pillion seat.
Excellent review, maybe a technical specs vid next? Something to bear in mind is that RE are aiming products at a global market and that in many parts of the world this bike represents a mid-size, affordable package that is practical enough for everyday use. I predict great success for RE with this bike
Hi Andy, and thank you! Couple reasons I didn't dive into technical specs, the foremost being that this bike isn't about outright performance. The deeper you dive into specs, the more you'll miss the big picture, which is the accessibility factor, in my opinion. So that was my focus here. The other reason is because every other review out there will dig into the technical figures. My goal is always to showcase who this bike is for, rather than is it good or bad. My goal here was to paint the picture of the sheer joy of riding a motorcycle (hopefully to women riders!) and show the Meteor 350 for what it does best - open doors to the freedom of the open road. Thanks again!
I think over the hill seniors like me also will enjoy such a motorcycle. I've been riding since the early 60's and yes I own a Harley, but I still like smaller bikes and I think old gizzers like me will enjoy riding such a bike. Sometimes a smaller bike is a lot more fun than a large heavy gizzer glider.
It will be very interesting to see how it does in the U.S. market, and around the world. Royal Enfield engineers certainly had global appeal in mind when they created the new Meteor 350.
I only had the bike for three weeks, but felt the suspension and the seat break in a little bit in that time. Let me know if yours feels any better after a month or so.
That was a good review, but as a Meteor 350 owner myself, I have a bone to pick with you: it's not just a beginner's bike or a lady's bike. I owned 10-11 bikes before I got my Meteor in September, including a 1999 Kawasaki ZRX1100. I've had the big, fast bikes; I've lived through that and lived to tell about it. Though I'm no Valentino Rossi, I have some experience undder m y belt. You know what? I LOVE MY METEOR! It's among the best bikes I've ever owned. To put it another way, it's helping me discover WHY I started riding in the first place... At my age (60 in February), I was looking for something lighter weight, easier to manage, economical, and fun. The vast majority of my rides are on local back roads for an hour or so; some trips along the river; and the occasional day trip thrown in. For the way I use a bike now, anything bigger or aster oulde SERIOUS OVERKILL! A lot of us older guys are downsizing our bikes. Not only have I downsized the bikes I ride; my neighbor did too, He used to have a Yamaha Venture, which was Yamaha's effort at making a bike to compete with the Gold Wing. He just got a Meteor 350 too...
When did I say that it's "just a beginner's bike or a lady's bike?" And secondly, why is that offensive to you? I'm a lady rider and very experienced, as well. I also loved riding the Meteor, and I don't find it a threat to my ego to call it an excellent beginner bike, because IT IS. 👍
Hi CR. This question is to you and other 2021 RE 350 owners: I have watched perhaps 20 reviews of the RE 350. In ALL reviews, the reviewer comments on a lack of power. Here is the scenario: I have a passenger and gear, riding up a two-lane hillside road, I need to pass a slow moving, ten-wheeled box truck. Do I have the power to pass with ease? Thank you for answering.
How much do you and your passenger weigh? How much does your gear weigh? How steep is the road? Are there curves? If so, please state the radius. How slow-moving is the box truck? Is it carrying a load? What altitude are you at? Humidity and barometer will also help with this estimate. Lastly, please define "with ease." Thank you.
Royal Enfield is on a roll. It has so much in store for the next 12-24 months. The following models are up for launch - Classic Roadster Shotgun Hunter Sherpa Scram Flying Flea and An Electric Motorcyle Also BSA will be launching its 650cc motorcycle by the end of the year.
Booked in Jan 4th in Agra. Black steller 350. Received a call from agency on 02 April that my bike is ready for delivery. So excited but after an hour I came to know that I m transferred in howrah now. So I have to cancell it. Now the same procedure I will have to opt in howrah ie 3 more months of waiting.
i really love the idea of this bike as a beginner and keep coming back to it, but i know i'll be riding with a passenger often eventually and i just don't think it will be powerful enough for that?
If I can answer (having ridden both for long distances) , Himalayan is more comfortable for long and rugged rides and the engine pleasure is quite good. However it's not a good 'everyday use' bike . Considering the meteor , it's really good . The vibration is minimal compared to any other RE . Comfort is a gem in this one and the look at first reminds you of a Harley . The engine is quite powerful. I'd prefer the meteor as I don't really go on off-road a lot . Just a personal opinion
Funny you should ask. I thought the engine character of the Himalayan was nicer, but the gear spacing on the Meteor is much better, in my opinion. If I had to choose between the two, it would be the Himalayan. But that's because I'm an off-roader and an adventurer! I'll take the dirt-capable version every time. :)
@@CrossRutted @Rajat thakur Thank you both for your feedback, I will mainly use it to go to work (10 km) and for short walks on weekends. I can no longer go off-road due to back problems. Great review really you put a lot of details in it anyways happy to see a Royal Enfield video as I got a 2016 Classic 350
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Have fun on that Classic 350! 😊
Alot of info packed into 8 mins. Well done awesome review.
Much appreciated!
Nobody knows what’s a bajaj outside the subcontinent!
Getting my Stellar Blue tomorrow. Can’t wait.
Excellent review. I bought the same variant and waiting for it to arrive for my first ride. Love Royal Enfield ❤️
Excellent review! You have an understated style to your videos which is very refreshing to watch. I have a Meteor in India and it's a surprisingly accomplished machine. What is that lovely Looker of a helmet?
Thank you! The helmet is Biltwell - it's the Gringo S model.
Lovely review!
Extraordinary... Bike smooth, 120 kmspeed ....no vibration... Nice... Best bike ...smooth sound... No1 bike...
In germany we said...
"The way is the goal" (or so)
An this is the way, to ride a Royal Enfield or simalarly bikes.
No stress...only enjoy the streets, the countryside...have fun...
it's good for your soul....😎
Amen, brother!
This is my first ever bike, can’t wait, coming soon.
Lovely, detailed review. The tone and speed of your narration is a pleasure to listen to.
Excellent, detailed review. Thank you and well done. Ride safe.
Nice review. Good commuter, outer suburb bike that includes short trips on freeways. Power is adequate and single cylinder should mean low maintenance costs. I’d add a screen and a large top box on the back - I don’t need a pillion seat.
That sounds like a good setup. Storage and some wind protection would have been nice. And a softer seat!
I own this bike I must say its above my expectations....I test rode Jawa2.0 ,Honda CB350 and Royal Enfield meteor and chose this one
It exceeded my expectations, too. It's an unlikely suspect, and that's yet another thing I love about it! Congrats on the new Royal!
Both well done, both the bike and the clip.
Underrated channel!
Great review thank you 😀
Very good review, thanks! I liked it !
Very nice and complete review, congratulation!
Thank you! Cheers!
True. So true. My first bike was a 1974 Honda 250 XL. God, I miss that bike.
"so much bigger than the sum of its parts" well said 👍
Looks like a no-frill, down to earth, simple yet beautiful looking piece of machine. I am eye balling for beige colour in the Supernova series.
Right on!
Booked my Meteor 350 stellar glossy black yesterday... 😀😀🇮🇳
Very Nice bike and video!! Im from Brazil and Im about to order mine
Good choice!
Awasome review ❤️
I think over the hill seniors like me also will enjoy such a motorcycle. I've been riding since the early 60's and yes I own a Harley, but I still like smaller bikes and I think old gizzers like me will enjoy riding such a bike. Sometimes a smaller bike is a lot more fun than a large heavy gizzer glider.
Great review and so very professional.
Fireball was love at first sight. And it look better than higher variant.
I like the Meteor , many greetings from Germany 😊
Danke!
that is called Blonde with Bike both are so eye relaxing👌👌being owner of supernova ..love your satisfactory review that i choose right.
Haha thank you!
Amazed to see royal Enfield popular among foreigners
It will be very interesting to see how it does in the U.S. market, and around the world. Royal Enfield engineers certainly had global appeal in mind when they created the new Meteor 350.
We love em in Canada!
More than half of its revenue comes from outside India 👍
Great review 👍 I owned this bike and it is so low on power and rear suspension is hard as well
I only had the bike for three weeks, but felt the suspension and the seat break in a little bit in that time. Let me know if yours feels any better after a month or so.
Planing to buy one, Fireball black ❤️
The opening music is superrrrrrrr 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Great review .
Enjoying my RE Meteor Fireball Yellow 💛 to the hilt 💪🏻
Fine review!
Nice commentary sis.... Love from India....
Wonderful... love from india...❤️❤️
Ride safe.
Awesome video! I have a Stellar Red, and I’m quite happy with it.
Can you please identify the song in the beginning of your video? I really liked it.
Thank you, I'm so glad you liked it! The song is called Brand New Year by Joseph. I downloaded it from PremiumBeats.com. Thanks!
Recommend where we can get this background music...it's nice😍
Thanks, I love it too. The song is called "Brand New Year" and the artist's name is Joseph. I purchased it on PremiumBeats.com.
@@CrossRutted thanks 🤗 definitely going to listen 🎶🤩
Wow u driving like a pro. Love from INDIA
Even though I more prefer RE Himalayan, I liked your review.
Thank you. And I'll let you in on a little secret... I prefer the Himalayan, too.
Well done comprehensive review, thanks.
Thank you!
That Yamaha was my first bike tooo
Haha that’s awesome!
Very good report. Tks.
Thank you!
Royal Enfield is on a roll. It has so much in store for the next 12-24 months. The following models are up for launch -
Classic
Roadster
Shotgun
Hunter
Sherpa
Scram
Flying Flea and
An Electric Motorcyle
Also BSA will be launching its 650cc motorcycle by the end of the year.
Air cooled engine can be good for UK but countries around mediterrenean sea, in hot climates, I believe it will be a problem in especially in summers.
I booked meteor 350 fireball custom white on Feb 11th still waiting ❤️ for delevery

very nice explanation. tomorrow i will check loan options. 265000 top model. almost 3600 US dollars.
Aww that's such a bummer. Sorry to hear it. But it will be worth the wait once it arrives.
Great review of a great bike……😎
i really love the idea of this bike as a beginner and keep coming back to it, but i know i'll be riding with a passenger often eventually and i just don't think it will be powerful enough for that?
Umm.... yeah. You might be right about that. 👍
You can ride it with a 60 kg passenger easily in 65 miles speed
So much thanks.
I have another question, in terms of comfort and engine pleasure, did you prefer the Meteor or the Hymalayan?
I will go and test the Himalyan next week (E4 version because we have not yet received the Es here in Belgium).
I will be able to compare to the Méréor once we have received them ...
Its a good looking bike!
@Cross Rutted Can you try to review the Int 650?
Very nice review. You have a real passion of ride and this bike is for such people. As for my opinion soft seat is not good for long journey.
Thank you! And yes, you don't want a seat too soft. But it should also not be so hard that it bounces you out of the seat when you hit a small bump. It should have some cushioning to help keep you connected to the bike.
@@CrossRutted For meteors case, lean upper body little forward will help you tackle bad roads with ease. I tried it and feels comfortable.
If it feels comfortable then keep it up! Lots of practice is key to improving your skill. 👍🏼
Very nice Review, greetings from Brazil! 🇧🇷😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
