the bad childhood card should only ever be played against one's parents or people who damaged them IN childhood. I don't care if you're 19 or 49- no one has the right to take out their childhood trauma on someone who did not traumatise them as a child! tf? Meanwhile if you're 75 and you are still hurt by your parents, you are fully entitled to be. You don't have to get over anything. It's when you start taking out your mummy issues on your wife that it becomes a problem. Take it out on ya damn mama!

His tragic childhood stories are superfluous and ironic. Having been hurt and traumatised in the past does not give you a free pass to inflict the same onto others. He has done this type of crime 3 times in the past?! Now he wants sympathy for its all, and his health condition! What about his victims childhoods and their health conditions, and now the trauma of what he has done to them on top of all that. Finally there is a smidgeon of justice.

Although I'm disgusted by the defense attorney's argument (and I haven't watched the trial) our system requires that every suspect be provided a defense. There have been some trials that make me cringe when defense attorney uses bravado and insist on absurdity or demonizing the victim to get their client off. It's only additional trauma to the original crime. As sad as all that is, its a part of our constitution that a suspect receive a defense. If I were a Public Defender and assigned this case, I would merely object to inappropriate lines of questioning and only ensure that the person recieve no more time than permitted beyond guidelines.

In fact, seeing how his father abused his mother and his family, should have driven him to be a better person. Not be worse! I was s*xually abused and grew up in a violent, toxic, dysfunctional, and abusive environment. Irrespective of my past, I am not a destructive force in my home or in society. Okkk so i got to the end and the judge was fair according to my opinion! Kudos to thhis court. Respect

I am not here to cast judgment as the Jury did. I am here to say that Attorney Gary Zerola is one hell of an Attorney. My husband and I previously owned some rental property and we retained Attorney Gary Zerola on several different matters throughout those years. He won all my matters. Attorney Gary Zerola had the potential to have been one of America's top Lawyers. I also would like to add on one of my matters he represented me when I went to pay the bill he waived his fee and represented me on that case completely free of charge and refused to take payment.
