Every time he exerts energy, every time he climbs a rope or a tree, any little thing he does, he makes moaning noises. I can only imagine him trying to really over exert his body in the gym pushing extreme weights....

I think these two offer a good dynamic. One is calm and positive. This makes his decision-making improved and rational. The other is decisive and moves with a sense of urgency. This quick thinking is good for unexpected situations that happen in the short term. Both of them compliment each other and their strengths and weaknesses.
Please just get Matt and cody together For a reboot it's literally the one reboot that would actually make it in the long term.

With the possible exception of Matt, who is so mellow in his demeanor that you really can’t tell when he is agitated, all the cast members of this show have had conflict with each other AND the production team that I don’t see them ever being willing to recreate the experience or even deal with the people behind the scenes. I think the best we could hope for IS some sort of interview programs where they all get to speak their mind. But even that would suck if they all can’t hold their temper and agree to disagree at times. Way too much ego in this group

The stuff they did for this show is absolutely insane. If you never seen the behind the scenes of this show, then what happens is the producers scout area's and ask them what they wanna do. So they have to be willing to do this stuff but if u ever wondered how they have cameras below and above them so we can see them step by step is because they only show you parts of the area while filming. What I mean is that cliff they came down wasn't the only way down, there's actually safer and easier ways in which the camera crew uses to get down. Joe and Matt go the hard route to show people the will and determination how to survive but in reality they never had to. It's basically showing you if you are in this situation what to do but they're not actually in that situation lol. They can't starve to death or die of thirst because they have 2 medics with them the whole time filming. Since it's a show the medics will pull them out if they have to and have done it in the past.

then only half is real. There’s no mental stress, literally the biggest factor of all. The “well if i can’t make it down there ill just use the easy route ill be okay, and the “if i get hurt ill be okay someone is going to rescue me”.
@@3rdgenbestgen21 Well it's also most likely legally required to have medics and staff's on the show cause the show is to teach you about survival and process of how too. But with shows there comes alot of regulations they must follow as well as have to get approval with insurance and then have to abide by contract that the actors signed etc... I understand what you're saying and getting to but the show is just to teach. I do agree it's miss leading and false advertising cause that's not the cast or actors fault. That's who edits it and approved it to be aired fault.
@@mixstamike i get what you are saying. Basically false hope. I mean im not downing their merits but I am. Before anyone says something, i used to explore the jungles when i was 8 for fun. I user to snare birds, catch fish using bamboos. And nothing is more exhilarating when you do something with major consequences and successful at it because of focus. a simple “climb a tree 30 feet off the ground”, the thought of falling, you’re by yourself in the middle of the jungle where no one will find you, you know you’re fck, that’s stress. Or going down the slippery hill, where at the bottom has hidden spikes waiting for you to fall on, you have to adapt and overcome at the split second, being agile..make a decision break an ankle or spike through your back. A mosquito bites can induce stress, im betting they bringing repellent. I think the closes show to reality would be Ed Staffords

@@magnezon1 Cody and him were very conflicting personalities. They were both "my way or the highway". It was doomed from the start. Joe and Matt were significantly better and fun to watch

I think Matt has a great attitude for this. If stranded, we all could use a guy like Matt around.
Matt is cool as hell but he seems like he's not all there. Always has that smile and faraway look in the eyes.
I think he is just really, REALLY chill/in tune/vibing/however you wanna say it. He just gives off the vibe that everything is ok and that he is always happy/optimistic.
It takes a lot of discipline and introspection to develop a calm state of mind. I would much rather be peaceful than at war with myself.
He doesn't seem all there probably because his social skills lack. Spending your life alone in the wilderness living off the land will do that to you.
He’s wayyyyyyyy smarter than he puts off. Prob already dissected every perspective around him and just doesn’t care to explain or to let it affect his attitude.

But Cody and Matt are leagues above Joe when it comes to primitive fire making which is the real deal in such situations

@@arthas1641 Making fires is Cody's specialty. He can get logs lit if they're soaking wet. I'd be a fool not to tell you that Matt is the better survivalist, but Cody is the king of fire. He struggled on one fire in the show, and I'm almost sure it was just for dramatic effect. It was an overcast day and they needed to light the fire with a lens or something, but you could tell he was sandbagging it because he'd say, "yeah, I lost the sun again," in the broadest, brightest high-noon daylight you've ever seen.
Matt just, like, _literally_ lives in the wilderness. He's probably had the same fire going since the late '90's.
Who wouldn't stop for a long look at The Andes Mountains = Joe !
Matt has such determination and knowledge. Normal scared person wud have nver thought all that up and then had patience and knowledge to adapt and fix it and see it thru.

Honestly. People can hate all they want on Joe but... Both of their perspectives are valid. You don't want two people who are good at the same thing or the same thought process. It's good that they are challenging each other but what's wonderful is that they're both capable of compromise.
