Seemed like very deceptive marketing. But I do find it interesting that none of these hardcore players were even a little bit worried about the game after they played it. Even after that we had the IGN first look, which a lot of the same players damaged controlled (colt even put up his own montage of the game in defence). The 30fps news turned a few heads but still under NDA I guess the early impression reviewers couldn’t say anything. The entire marketing seems deceiving though. Even review embargo wasn’t until the game came out. Tells you everything right there.

Here's my REAL problem with Redfall. Playing on PC, I noticed that my RX7900XT fans was go crazy. I'm playing at 4K/60 locked and the fans is going bananas. Checked the GPU temps and it was over 85 degrees Celcius (185 degrees fahrenheit)! Many AAA games I play the temps never go beyond 62 degrees Celcius. Stopped playing it and uninstalled it immediately!
Better check your cooling, because whatever it is, it ain’t the game. Make sure everything is still pressurized. The game is awful anyway, but nothing about a game can cause overheating, there must be a problem in the cooling system

King you’re completely off on the $70 metrics. Games sale units are down but game sale revenue is up 9 percent, network service revenue is up 13 percent. What do you think is happening? People buy the games they want day 1 and buy less games later on (when they’re on discount) because they tend to come to the sub service. Nice try with your analysis though. Live service games also do eat into traditional game sales. What do you think MS’s game sales look like: completely down in lieu of gamepass revenue. Sony makes double the content and service revenue as Xbox, with the same number of advertised MAU. So make what you will that. Sub services can save studios but can also protect poor performing studios from and discipline. In terms of pixel opus, I do feel for the studio but Sony doesn’t seem to want to go that direction. They have been partnering with indie studios to develop those types of games while Sony resources can be poured into bigger budget games (more focus).

Most core gamers who aren't trolls want Xbox to match the quality and consistency of PlayStation, and not just copy their types of games. Nobody wants Xbox to start making only 3rd person narrative games and abandon all of their IPs. I adore Phil Spencer and appreciate how open and transparent he is with the community. However, stating that Starfield being rated 11/10 won't encourage PlayStation gamers to buy an Xbox or play it on PC is completely wrong. (PS - Nobody will sell their PS5 if Xbox games suddenly deliver the same quality. They would only consider that if PlayStation starts messing things up.)

Check ur fan curves and tweak fan speed. I had an issue with my 3080 playing High on Life.

It’s not a good game. It’s fine if you like it, but it’s awful from every angle, art direction, gameplay, story, programming, it’s awful
King you’re completely off on the $70 metrics. Games sale units are down but game sale revenue is up 9 percent, network service revenue is up 13 percent. What do you think is happening? People buy the games they want day 1 and buy less games later on (when they’re on discount) because they tend to come to the sub service. Nice try with your analysis though. Live service games also do eat into traditional game sales. What do you think MS’s game sales look like: completely down in lieu of gamepass revenue. Sony makes double the content and service revenue as Xbox, with the same number of advertised MAU. So make what you will that. Sub services can save studios but can also protect poor performing studios from and discipline. In terms of pixel opus, I do feel for the studio but Sony doesn’t seem to want to go that direction. They have been partnering with indie studios to develop those types of games while Sony resources can be poured into bigger budget games (more focus).

Most core gamers who aren't trolls want Xbox to match the quality and consistency of PlayStation, and not just copy their types of games. Nobody wants Xbox to start making only 3rd person narrative games and abandon all of their IPs. I adore Phil Spencer and appreciate how open and transparent he is with the community. However, stating that Starfield being rated 11/10 won't encourage PlayStation gamers to buy an Xbox or play it on PC is completely wrong. (PS - Nobody will sell their PS5 if Xbox games suddenly deliver the same quality. They would only consider that if PlayStation starts messing things up.)
I agree with you. If you give everyone with a PS5 a reason to buy an Xbox, they'd sell alot more Xbox's. Even if they keep PS as their main and keep their libraries, you can still convince them to get a Xbox. He was talking like it is one console per person.
Well, Phil never said that Starfield being an 11/10 is going to make people get an Xbox, he explicitly said it's not going to make people sell their PS5s and that Xbox isn't going to be able to take market share away from PS like they did in the 360 era.

Xbox should first focus on delivering those “11/10” games to bring in new customers and serve their existing fanbase. As I said before, most people won’t sell their Playstation just because Starfield is good. They will only consider doing that if Spiderman 2, Factions MP, DS2, Wolverine are bad games. Phil’s comments made me feel that he and his team don’t see a value in their games being “10/10”.
Great games will make people with a Playstation, consider investing in an Xbox or Game Pass, and then when the next Xbox and Playstation come out, people will buy the console that enabled them to play great games. It can be Xbox, but they need to release good games to be in that position.

Redfall is a lame game arkane missed in my book they always miss when there games release buggy and med, really doesn't see this as a big deal this is getting blown out of proportion, I don't get why phil spencer's on damage control for one game that was in development before Bethesda was purchased i count Starfield in that to and ithink I'll be a buggy mess, but if games like fable avowed hellblade2 perfectdark contraband everwild outerworlds2 stateofdecay3 forza8 are not more then excellent then i would have a problem and have questions with phil and the xbox brand till those games come out, this others games from Bethesda are nothing but thirdparty games that became exclusives to xbox.

I'm more concerned that Sony are picking up all these deals for KOTOR Remake, MGS 3 REMAKE, SILENT HILL 2 REMAKE, Castlevania, Final Fantasy etc and Xbox aren't even trying. I 100% Sony to get a deal for GTA 6 and wouldn't be surprised if they made it timed exclusive and Xbox just lets this happen.
