"Test Drive Unlimited is back" I thought I would never see the day. This game was my Childhood.
I like this, because "Test Drive" (no other words) was MY childhood. In 1987. And I'm guessing we'll both be there day 1 for this.

@@MrNatedawg2890 I dont think they listen to players sadly :( almost none of the old TDU games features exist here which made them so super. Neither every car has speedometer as is in the car, the map is hideous i hate the black map with streets only. The old games had planes flying over the map when you zoom in ffs. The physics do look trash compared to TDU2 and the map is too generic in my opinion (nothing different to froza etc. and i hate forca), nothing like Hawaii or Ibiza + reversed drive lanes drives me crazy :( Also too much HUD things while driving with simple graphics that dont look any modern to me after 10 years of the same graphics in every single game. Idk maybe i expected a new generation game but it is just more of the same :( Houses.. gone, clothes shop probably gone idk how they are implemented if they are at all, even plastic surgery xD

Every racing game that comes out nowadays blame car manufacturers it has nothing to do with video game companies they threaten to sue in the future for expired licenses it’s a lot of legal work that is going on for why all racing games need a internet connection in some type of way but it has everything to do with car manufacturers suing in the future of these games lifecycles this wasn’t a problem in the past due to car manufacturers not realizing how much money video game companies make once they realized they started bullying all video game companies

This is what it looks like. Always online, live service. And approximately 90% multiplayer and a few snippets of ‘single player’, if you can even call it that...
@benn8793 in the playtest, there was a server overload which caused multi-player races to not work, therefore everyone played as solo and they progressed through levels fine.
oh no, always online would be a dealbreaker for a day 1 buy for me.
@@Kortex_Racing But that doesn't solve the problem. It was confirmed some time ago that the races will be populated with AI if there are not enough players online. This is no substitute for a proper single player.
@@benn8793No racing that comes out nowadays is offline only all require some type of internet connection sadly car manufacturers fault NFS The Crew Forza all need internet connection NFS has a single player that literally get no updates but still requires a internet connection it’s just the sad reality of racing games nowadays but don’t blame this on them when every big triple a company is forced to do it their a small studio it would be hard for them to convince car manufacturers to make a offline mode the money is not there especially if big triple a companies aren’t doing it forget a sever shutdown the game can get completely delisted because of car manufacturers licensing ending but that has nothing to do with the consumer it’s car manufacturers fault

PSVR2 support?
I don't think they are doing that. I play GT7 on PSVR. Since then I have'nt looked back. Cannot play driving games now on a flat screen. I do hope we start seeing more driving games with the VR support. I heard that there isn't any racing games on the horizon with VR support for PSVR. I hope we do so badly.

Are you even keeping up with the community my guy they said over a year ago houses will be added to the game and far as the shops they said it will be over 14 dealerships all over the map but barbershop and clothing still don’t know yet I totally agree they need to be all over the map I’m fine with everything being at the main hotel meeting area but I don’t want to have to always go back to a dumb hotel for everything especially if I’m on the other side of the map put barbershops and clothing stores and car washes all over the map any other interactive places in the game across the map it encourages exploration around the map but they confirmed houses over a year ago

Playing that final race around the map was always daunting 😅 But nothing beat the feeling of finding a new dealership and adding those beauties to your garage.

Looks great but Test Drive has always stood out from the crowd because of the mix with life style e.g. with simulation like estate agents, dealerships, character animations etc. I heard it's coming out post-launch, but to be true TDU, it should have been a priority. I'm hoping and praying it will be a decent post-launch and won't be rushed and thrown in as a last minute decision.

they used their own engine which isn't the best graphics wise. Would've looked better on Unreal Engine 5. Alteast we're getting another TDU tho, so I'm not really complaining + The car models are better than FM8 atleast

I think you might need some refreshing with TDU2. This game looks nothing like TDU2 graphically. TDU2 was on Ps3, which didn't even support HDR.
