  • Talk's Ian Collins and Former Senior Special Adviser Charlie Rowley discuss Chancellor Rachel Reeves being set to reveal a big black hole in the country's finances in a speech on Monday - with a suggestion this could equate to around £20bn.
Her update will reveal “the true scale of the damage the Conservatives have done to the public finances”, a Labour source said.
They did not deny reports that an early assessment has found a nearly £20 billion annual gap between revenues and funding commitments, including in areas such as asylum and public sector pay.
Charlies says: "The public will see through this"

access to the OBR report as to the state of our finances so she is either lying or never bothered to look at the books which shows her incompetence, she also said that the wage rises were costed at 2% increase where as now she says the increases will be above inflation at 5% she seems to have the fiscal ability of Diane Abbott

Net Zero. Utterly stupid idea, they won't even generate enough energy to pay for themselves. For one thing we don't get enough sun where we're situated geographically.
There are latitudes where the solar irradiation levels are too low for solar panels to be cost-effective in most applications. In general, as you move farther from the equator towards the poles, the average annual solar irradiation decreases, making solar panels less efficient and economical.
In these high-latitude regions, the combination of low irradiation and seasonal variations can make it challenging to generate enough energy from solar panels to justify the installation and maintenance costs.
And the insane green & Net Zero subsidies are very damaging. Subsidies are meant to reduce the price of a product to the consumer. Tortilla`s are subsidised in some Latin American countries so that poor people have something to eat.
In 10 years the world spent 3.8 Trillian Dollars on renewable energy and the percentage of energy generated from fossil fuels has been reduced from 82% to 81%, and in that same time frame global demand for energy went up 30%.
