Reminds me a bit of a german Drag duo called Mary&Gordy who were one of the first to make it to mainstream. Back in the 80ies they even managed to get on TV. Their acts were a mixture between classical standup comedy, musical comedy but also some dead serious chansons/power ballads (Mary's rendition of "My Way" as a closing song was pretty iconic). Their whole act was less gay night club and more "Saturday Night Life Entertainment for dads and moms".
