I heard this song for the first time today… I recently bought a record player and bought a few job lots of second hand LPs. I just picked one to play today at random and it was the Welcome to the Cruise vinyl and had the absolute pleasure of hearing this song for the first time and I’ve fallen in love with it. I’m 33, love music and so grateful to have fallen upon this album and wonderful song from Judie.
Privileged to have been in the audience at Swindon on Saturday 10th June 2017 when Judie, accompanied by Bailey, Lula and Chaz played another wonderful concert. The voice is still there and she is such good company for the evening. Brilliant, and thanks for this video!
Hairy Bear I first thought that back in 79 she just seemed American when I first heard her on top of the pops lol she’s still amazing and now her woman to women gigs with Beverley craven and Julia Fordham there Fantastic I saw them at union chapel London this year
I once saw Waking the Witch in a packed Glenfarg Hotel, I was one of about 35-40 people and it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. So cosy and intimate.
Note perfect and in time too. A rare talent that can sing live and bring those memories back. Though it still slightly nags me that the sun rises at dawn rather than sets.
This singer and this song have always been a favourite of mine but i have to say i didn`t loose my virginity to it. if you don`t understand me watch the whole video.
Yes they are indeed her daughters, Bailey and Tallulah - check out the 'Christmas with the Tzukettes' album which features all three of them (available on Judie's website)!
I'm sorry, but a minimalist treatment is definitely not appropriate for this grandiose masterpiece! It is heresy. But your voice is still beautiful, Judie!
The first I heard her voice I had tears in my eyes. This was so many year's ago...its still killing me at 67 years old..
Pure talent endures. The song still sounds as fresh as it did 40 years ago.
Still got that voice I remember. Part of my growth into adulthood. Thank you Judi.
Wonderful, a great artist and a great song that touched the hearts of millions back in 1979 and still does today :)
Stunning song, beautiful lady. How come nobody's covered this? Maybe you can't 😮 perfection
One of those haunting melodies that you may have forgotten over the years but instantly recognisable when played.
Beautiful. Still today as so many years ago.
Wonderful nice guitar work as well
Wow! Still has the voice, many don't keep it. Still has the timing too.
so true
Every musician gets better with time, its just most people don't know that because they are to caught up with mainstream.
THIS IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG . AND JUDY TZUKE HER VOICE IT STILL SOUNDS THE SAME .BEAUTIFUL
Ronald Fitzgerald I grew up listening to her and to finally get the chance of an intimate gig with her was amazing I recommend seeing her
The most beautiful voice...since 1980,when i listen for the first time on a radio" stay with me till dawn"

pamelarw58 she was amazing such an intimate gig
The LP welcome to the cruise is worth a listen
She's still got it ...
She was amazing such an intimate gig
All the years I've loved this song and thought she was American!
Hairy Bear I first thought that back in 79 she just seemed American when I first heard her on top of the pops lol she’s still amazing and now her woman to women gigs with Beverley craven and Julia Fordham there Fantastic I saw them at union chapel London this year
She is great! This song - bittersweey memories......
Beautiful!
So few comment on the singers and guitarists with her - all of them providing perfect accompaniment and harmonies.
I lost my heart to Stay With Me Till Dawn.....
Still hauntingly beautiful..
Absolute class ♥️
Amazing.
She was amazing and only 120 seats really intimate

When singers were truly singers and could sing better live back then, than the garbage they put out now, even full of auto tune. I bow down Judie. X
Me too!
+SomeBloke yes she has and saw her again last month in another intimate gig and was so good
i saw her this week with Beverley Craven and Julia Fordham they were all fantastic
I envy you BIG TIME!
Judie is as lovely as ever...😗
But i am in love with the two female backup singing just With U Tonite in harmony😍
they are her two daughters
The charts nowadays. Can't touch Judie tzuke after decades when this tune came out. Even now and then unplugged and live can still smash it

Perhaps if he stays until dawn he will then stay all the rest of the day, until the evening sunset - that she will show him.
Like asking what do you want for breakfast as you leave the pub.
still got it kid as good as ever x
This singer and this song have always been a favourite of mine

Went to see Judy at Derby Assembly rooms in the olden days. She was supporting Gallager and Lyle. They were good but Judy was the star that night.
Beautiful..
Amazing...I fell deeply in love with a British lady when this song was played on the radio in 1980. Does this count to? :-)
Still a great.
Mint
Chris Balfe cheers
Yes there her daughters
She still sounds the same.
Whoops! Apologies and either stupid key board or fingers! Still, I say again brilliant and so many memories from this time. Thank you.
😆👏👏
anyone else think that the girl from london grammar is influenced by judie?
Hadn't thought of that, but yes, absolutely
Someone suggested on the clip of the original version of this beautiful song that London Grammar should cover it. Abso bloody lutey!!
Particularly "Wasting my young years". Great voice as is Judies.
are they her daughters
Yes they are indeed her daughters, Bailey and Tallulah - check out the 'Christmas with the Tzukettes' album which features all three of them (available on Judie's website)!
What a prog rock song this is ?
I'm sorry, but a minimalist treatment is definitely not appropriate for this grandiose masterpiece! It is heresy. But your voice is still beautiful, Judie!
