Genesis 1 is the Overview. Genesis 2 the details.

When Jesus was born and lived his life on Earth what was God doing? If Jesus is God, and Jesus was here, and God was in heaven, does that mean there are 2 Gods? I've heard the explanation of God in different forms but this is 2 full Gods, right?

Jesus said He and the Father are ONE. . . . The Trinity ain't something we can adequately undertand logically. Created beings simply cannot fully comprehend the Eternal Godhead.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ... The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
John chapter one answers your question. Jesus is the incarnation of the Word, meaning He had two natures during that incarnation, a divine and a human nature. There were not two gods made during the incarnation, there was a human nature incarnated with the divine nature of God, the Word, the one and only Son. That human nature underwent a human death and a bodily resurrection, while the divine nature experienced this death through the incarnation without dying (it wouldn't make sense to say that an eternal being with eternal life "died").
This understanding is based on scripture, but also further clarified by some of the earliest disciples of Christ who were trying to formalize a way to talk about the Tri-unity of God due to questions like yours being discussed during their time.

I might be wrong but didn't IP claim that Genesis was two separate creation accounts? Cause I'm pretty sure he views that God made Adam and Eve separate from other humans.

I can't remember what he said exactly. I pulled some info from his series debunking the Documentary Hypothesis, but what he specifically believes I'm unsure about.

@@JulianGentry all good I just remembered IP had, as I would put it, "interesting" views on creation. However, he does provide a lot of sources in his videos which is a plus.
