God has done so much in my 38 years. I used to be an agnostic, hedonistic pile of garbage. My life has changed so much since I was 19. Even the past 10 years looks entirely different. There is nothing like the forgiveness of Christ and accepting the Lord into our lives. I pray that these hard times will pass quickly for you.

It won't be amazingly perfect all at once, but keep seeking answers from God. He hears you, cares about what matters to you and sends an answer. Just keep in mind, God does not live within the construct of space/time. He created that--like a thing that sits in the palm of His hand. So when you get an answer-and you will get an answer-be ready! Sometimes answers will knock your socks off! Sometimes they melt your heart! Sometimes they settle something that your gut was wrenching over and suddenly-it's all good. Until that happens in our space/time-it can be hard. Don't give up! Those answers-they're really worth the wait.
I hope you know that in your heart there is love, there is peace and kindness in the world and to sin is human and regret and repentance when they are truly felt are heard by god. You are loved no matter who you are and I hope you feel better now time has passed.

My Daddy passed on good Friday this year. I was his only caretaker gor many years. It was Dad that introduced me to David through his show Poirot..All we did together for years was watch his show. @@dark0rock I honestly don't know about other religions, but coming from Islam, Christianity makes much more sense, it answered my questions and gave me the peace I was looking for. The relationship with god is based on trust and love and that jesus is always with. while the image of god in islam is brutal and power freak, he demands to kill, enslave, to persecute others by force. Islam is also not original, while reading the Bible I discovered that quran was a glorified repeatative incoherent cheap copy, written in a theoretically dead vague language which can alert meanings whenever required to. god calls us his SLAVES in Islam. And that way of thinking is passed to Muslems, they start to see others as less humans! As for Christianity we are honored and loved, Jesus was with me from day 0. All I had to do is accept him. I didn't have to undergo 18 years of brainwashing. I wasn't forced to follow a desert freak who married 11 wives and enslaved people!

Every night as I put my head down on the pillow, in the quiet of the night, I play David Suchet reading any of the Gospels (I rotate them). I love listening to them in the dark and silence, dedicating it as listening prayer.

I was born into a non-religious family and just started my own journey myself only a few days ago. I say the Lords prayer every morning when I wake up and throughout the day to strengthen my relationship with Jesus. I'm trying to kick all my bad habits, from smoking weed, masturbation, lying, hatred, selfishness etc.. I've tried to stop so many times, but this was the 1st time that I've managed to stop smoking weed and watch porn, all the things I was ashamed of doing, with such ease compared to all the times I tried to stop on my own. No more withdrawal affects. They stopped after 2 days when usually I struggled for weeks and months.. And I give thanks to Jesus because I know he's helping me, just as he will help you and keep you safe. Keep knocking on his door and Jesus will open up. Stay safe and be happy my brothers and sisters.

@@nintendogs-_- You're very right. These days you never really know even if it's churches or priests whether it's the right place/people for you, or if they follow the right path etc.. I must admit while I was sitting in Church waiting for things to start, if I was in the right place, if the priest was a good example etc.. Growing up, I used to attend a Catholic high school. I later found out after I graduated to college, that one of the Fathers there was caught with.. "inappropriate material".. was all over the school news board.. That being said, this time I will never stray. All those times I called out and cursed God in anger because things weren't going my way.. the times I prayed only because I wanted stuff and then quickly forgot about God when things got better. The one person that never gave up on me was God. My next step is to be baptised and it's all I really want at the moment. To be born again and follow his teachings. Because living selfishly, indulging in fleshy desires left me feeling empty and alone. Following his teachings, trying hard to understand his lessons, stories, and putting them into practice is much better than living how I wanted. Just pointless indulging. I still need strength and willpower. But I don't feel alone anymore. And I know God's bringing his followers and like minded people to me to help :) Even people like you with your kind messages. I have grown up listening to the Focus on the Family radio theatre Narnia with Sir Suchet as Aslan. It was incredibly influential to me as a young girl and to the building of my faith. I was so excited when I found this, and still am! God Bless
Yes, same with me! I was obsessed with Narnia as a child and always carried around photocopies of the maps in my pocket just in case I ever got there! Many lessons learnt from it too, and then as an adult coming to Christ a while ago, seeing the parallels with scripture really helped my faith too, especially the The Last Battle, when it comes to the end times. I have read quite a bit of the New Testament. However , the Old Testament was difficult to follow for me. Sir David Suchet is the greatest narrator I've ever heard in my 64 years !! Genesis is literally jumping out at me , as I find myself virtually hanging on every word. Every word from Almight God , as God's Word goes forth while we await the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ , prior to the End of the Age. The signs of Jesus'second coming , as outlined in the 24th chapter of the Book of Matthew , have all come true , so Christ's return is imminent !!! Praise You , Lord Jesus !!! I grew up religious, but my family drifted. I’m now trying to make my way back into my faith. I cannot go to church, but I can follow the lord no matter what.
My best friend cash got hit by a car when I took my eyes off him for ten minutes he was in my yard then he was in the street lying lifeless and whoever hit him didn’t stop. It’s a 25 mph street can’t you let my buddy cross safety instead of being evil . I’ve come here because I’m spiritual empty and broken beyond repair. Praise be the name of the lord Jesus Christ 🙏. I am very sorry for your loss. I would recommend reading starting with the New Testament from the book of Matthew till Revelation. My first book in the NT was Romans, it helped me understand what it meant to be a follower of Christ, and then I started with Matthew. David Suchet is a great narrator and I love the way he reads things. It helps me sometimes to have ambient music in the background of what he is saying so that I can pay closer attention, but I am very glad you are seeking out the Lord for help in this time. I honestly don't know about other religions, but coming from Islam, Christianity makes much more sense, it answered my questions and gave me the peace I was looking for.
The relationship with god is based on trust and love and that jesus is always with. while the image of god in islam is brutal and power freak, he demands to kill, enslave, to persecute others by force.
Islam is also not original, while reading the Bible I discovered that quran was a glorified repeatative incoherent cheap copy, written in a theoretically dead vague language which can alert meanings whenever required to.
god calls us his SLAVES in Islam. And that way of thinking is passed to Muslems, they start to see others as less humans! As for Christianity we are honored and loved,

Recently New Christian, Starting to Listen through the entire Bible. Front to back.
I was born into a non-religious family and just started my own journey myself only a few days ago.
I say the Lords prayer every morning when I wake up and throughout the day to strengthen my relationship with Jesus. I'm trying to kick all my bad habits, from smoking weed, masturbation, lying, hatred, selfishness etc..
I've tried to stop so many times, but this was the 1st time that I've managed to stop smoking weed and watch porn, all the things I was ashamed of doing, with such ease compared to all the times I tried to stop on my own. No more withdrawal affects. They stopped after 2 days when usually I struggled for weeks and months.. And I give thanks to Jesus because I know he's helping me, just as he will help you and keep you safe.
Keep knocking on his door and Jesus will open up.

@@nintendogs-_- You're very right. These days you never really know even if it's churches or priests whether it's the right place/people for you, or if they follow the right path etc.. I must admit while I was sitting in Church waiting for things to start, if I was in the right place, if the priest was a good example etc.. Growing up, I used to attend a Catholic high school. I later found out after I graduated to college, that one of the Fathers there was caught with.. "inappropriate material".. was all over the school news board..
That being said, this time I will never stray. All those times I called out and cursed God in anger because things weren't going my way.. the times I prayed only because I wanted stuff and then quickly forgot about God when things got better.
The one person that never gave up on me was God. My next step is to be baptised and it's all I really want at the moment. To be born again and follow his teachings. Because living selfishly, indulging in fleshy desires left me feeling empty and alone.
Following his teachings, trying hard to understand his lessons, stories, and putting them into practice is much better than living how I wanted. Just pointless indulging.
I still need strength and willpower. But I don't feel alone anymore. And I know God's bringing his followers and like minded people to me to help :)

I have read quite a bit of the New Testament. However , the Old Testament was difficult to follow for me. Sir David Suchet is the greatest narrator I've ever heard in my 64 years !! Genesis is literally jumping out at me , as I find myself virtually hanging on every word. Every word from Almight God , as God's Word goes forth while we await the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ , prior to the End of the Age. The signs of Jesus'second coming , as outlined in the 24th chapter of the Book of Matthew , have all come true , so Christ's return is imminent !!! Praise You , Lord Jesus !!! I grew up religious, but my family drifted. I’m now trying to make my way back into my faith. I cannot go to church, but I can follow the lord no matter what.
My best friend cash got hit by a car when I took my eyes off him for ten minutes he was in my yard then he was in the street lying lifeless and whoever hit him didn’t stop. It’s a 25 mph street can’t you let my buddy cross safety instead of being evil . I’ve come here because I’m spiritual empty and broken beyond repair. Praise be the name of the lord Jesus Christ 🙏. Please help me get through this lord . My friend sent me my first bible but it’s hard to read and thought this would be good for me thank you ❤
I am very sorry for your loss. I would recommend reading starting with the New Testament from the book of Matthew till Revelation. My first book in the NT was Romans, it helped me understand what it meant to be a follower of Christ, and then I started with Matthew. David Suchet is a great narrator and I love the way he reads things. It helps me sometimes to have ambient music in the background of what he is saying so that I can pay closer attention, but I am very glad you are seeking out the Lord for help in this time.
