  • The Complete Holy Bible - NIVUK Audio Bible - 1 Genesis
    Read by David Suchet
    Quick Summary of the book of Genesis:
    God creates the universe and fashions humans in His own image and places them in a perfect environment. The humans rebel against God and lose their paradise. The rebellion gets so bad that God wipes out humanity with a flood, but He graciously preserves Noah and his family. Later, God chooses and blesses the family of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (or Israel) and promises them a land for their many descendants. Through this family God plans to bring a Savior to reconcile the sinful world to Himself.
    ===
    May the Lord bless you as you listen to his word :)
    Have a blessed day!

      It won't be amazingly perfect all at once, but keep seeking answers from God. He hears you, cares about what matters to you and sends an answer. Just keep in mind, God does not live within the construct of space/time. He created that--like a thing that sits in the palm of His hand. So when you get an answer-and you will get an answer-be ready! Sometimes answers will knock your socks off! Sometimes they melt your heart! Sometimes they settle something that your gut was wrenching over and suddenly-it's all good. Until that happens in our space/time-it can be hard. Don't give up! Those answers-they're really worth the wait.

      I honestly don't know about other religions, but coming from Islam, Christianity makes much more sense, it answered my questions and gave me the peace I was looking for.
      The relationship with god is based on trust and love and that jesus is always with. while the image of god in islam is brutal and power freak, he demands to kill, enslave, to persecute others by force.
      Islam is also not original, while reading the Bible I discovered that quran was a glorified repeatative incoherent cheap copy, written in a theoretically dead vague language which can alert meanings whenever required to.
      god calls us his SLAVES in Islam. And that way of thinking is passed to Muslems, they start to see others as less humans! As for Christianity we are honored and loved,
      Jesus was with me from day 0. All I had to do is accept him.
      I didn't have to undergo 18 years of brainwashing. I wasn't forced to follow a desert freak who married 11 wives and enslaved people!

      It is his story, and if you put those two words together, it is history!
      The Bible is a road map of God's creation of this world, mankind, and everything that exists, how it happened,, how it will end, how he will end everything. But but Jesus makes all things new. And if you believe in him and not it just being a fun story, you can have everlasting life and not everlasting death. Choose truth, choose Jesus!

This was clearly written by bronze age men who didn't know anything! The god in the bible is a MONSTER. His lying, cheating, murder, mayham, slaughter, genocide, slavery, taking virgin as war trophies, jealous and overall unpleasant character would never make me want to have anything to do with anything he does. Do you? If so, why? This is clearly just a fairy tale book. Animals behaving like humans, giants and all kinds of nonsense. Written at a time when they used to bury their own children in a hole under their dwellings. No sir, I'm way more moral and good than falling for this clearly man made FANTASY. I always feel like I am walking on eggshells. I have ocd and it causes me to have intrusive thoughts as well, and I can have them when I give thanks, it’s usually something very offensive and I can’t control it. I'm not very religious, but God will not ever hate you for these things. Being gay is a part of who you are, and why would he create you in such a way if it was only to hate you later? You're amazing for all the things you do and are and shouldn't feel fear that those things that build up your personality would doom you to any place of torment. And as for your OCD, those thoughts are something you cannot possibly control. You shouldn't and can't be held accountable for that.
      Please trust that you are loved, cared for, and appreciated for who you are and not for what other people expect you to be. God loves you, and so do so many other people on this planet. I hope you find your peace.

    I believe in Jesus. Please forgive me though… regarding Adam & Eve, how do we actually know how it went down with them…. Some stories I sit and listen and meditate, and I ask myself how do we know that this is actually true? Again I believe in God, Jesus Christ and the holy spirit. I have had personal experiences with all 3, and I am forever amazed and a grateful child of God! I love Jesus with all my heart! I have turned my whole entire life around overnight. When you have an encounter with Jesus, it changes everything! I have been talking to God and asking him to show me. Can anyone share their thoughts? Thank you in advance, God Bless.

    Why would God punish humankind for wanting wisdom? Sounds incredibly evil to me to intentionally keep humans unaware. Wouldn’t God WANT us to know the difference between good and evil? What does God gain from keeping humans ignorant to the world and its realities? Kinda makes me think God is an antagonist of sorts.

    • @hoperules8874
      @hoperules8874 Год назад +1

      Was the punishment for gaining understanding or for disobedience? Was God always and forever going to forbid this fruit or was there a plan to wait for a certain developmental milestone first...like a teacher plans? We may never know, but your question (being a good question btw), begs the questions.

      @@hoperules8874I was wondering the same thing why'd God punish Adam and Eve for knowing good and bad but it really was for their disobedience..makes sense, thank you.

    • @deltapoppacharlie
      @deltapoppacharlie Год назад

      Would you consider it wise to have the knowledge of what it feels like to take another human life? I certainly hope that that is an evil that you know nothing about nor have any desire to acquire such wisdom.
      Before the fall there was ONLY the knowledge of GOOD. Please explain how knowing EVIL has IMPROVED mankind's existence.
      In the current time the idea that has been put into the mind that each individual has the power of self determination("Ye shall be as god's.")has lead to much of the confusion in society today.
      God knew exactly what would happen and had a perfect plan for mankind's reconciliation/restoration demonstrated when He provided coats of skins for covering. That skins were used indicates that innocent blood was shed on behalf of the guilty ones.
      The sinless Son of God, Jesus the Messiah/Christ/Anointed One poured out His own precious blood that all who will rest on Him will have their sins removed. Christ Jesus came into the world to save Sinners.

    • @deltapoppacharlie

      @@hoperules8874 Of course the punishment was definitely for disobedience; if for it's own good you tell a child not to touch a hot burner and it does so anyway; hopefully as a responsible parent/guardian you are going to add insult to the backside to accompany the injury to the hand. Then you are going to bandage the hand.
      A careful reading of the passage will show that (Gen 2:15) Jehovah Elohim took Man, and put him into the garden of Eden, to till it and to guard it. Apparently something needed to be kept out.

    • @toastle8005
      @toastle8005 Год назад +2

      As I think a few other people have quite concisely pointed out, if your child puts their palm directly on a hot iron after you EXPRESSLY told them it would hurt, the child did ‘gain wisdom’; they also seriously hurt themselves and now you’re driving them to ER.
      ‘Gaining wisdom’ sounds good on paper, but you don’t have to do it the hard way- I can learn that drink driving is bad the right way, or I can drive drunk, kill someone and ruin my life irreparably, and learn the hard way.
      I think my parents would be pretty mad that I ‘gained that wisdom’, in that specific fashion.
      It is a completely understandable question to ask, though, so don’t feel discouraged for asking it. After all, there are entire books of the Bible written on how to gain wisdom, and look at what you’re doing right now- testing ideas, and thinking about things.
