@@sharlajohnston6105Yes, it’s private, but this woman seems to have an actual need and is reaching out for help. It’s not ok to shame her if that’s the case.
@@kathleenvigliano9642I think it boils down to realizing the other things need to be built on your marriage, not the other way around. It’s very easy to give everything to the kids and keeping the home, cooking, etc, but when it comes down to it, you only have so much energy. Just like Lisa was saying about spending your time and energy on less important things, like making a list, it’s better to spend the same time and energy to just get the important task done. Just like you know it’s more urgent to feed the kids than to vacuum the rug, it’s more urgent to have a time of connection with your husband than to do a lot of other things. Husbands are usually able to overlook a lot of other things that haven’t gotten done if they are fulfilled in their connection to their wives and that often starts with time alone in the bedroom. Another issue may be that a woman doesn’t save time and energy for intimate time with her husband because there are problems associated with her relationship with her husband. In that case, I would greatly encourage seeking out a Christian counselor, and don’t stop seeking until you find a good one that helps. If your husband won’t go, go yourself.
I really love the new snippets we’ve seen of Lisa in the last few videos, like sipping coffee or kids all on her, baby on the floor etc. It’s so heartwarming! 😊
The struggle is mostly that I always have at least 1 child saying my name & needing/wanting something or needs help. It's hard to even have a complete thought without being interrupted let alone get a taskfully completed without forgetting what I was doing bc I was interrupted so many times or just discouraged bc it then feels never ending.
Wow! Every thing you mentioned is something I do! So thank you. I loved that shirt that buttons down the back and you look so darn cute in the new dresses you just got.I'm fairly new as a fan and hope you have done or will do a tutorial on fast makeup, skin care, and hair. Thanks so much for all of your great ideas and help.
While reading through the comments section, you realize that we’re more alike than we think. So many subscribers from around the world and they have the same stuff to deal with. So thankful that in the rush of life that you give us glimpses of how it’s okay that the house is “clean enough”, that the laundry is caught up, and we’re eating supper together. My prayers go out to you and ALL busy mamas everywhere! Those roasted veggies looked delish!🙌🏻🫶🏻
Oof, you’re speaking right to me today. I think I spent about 20 minutes putting stickers in my planner last night and I stopped myself because some of the stickers were for things I’m not going to forget to do, like a sticker of a toothbrush. I’m 50, I don’t need a reminder for that!
We all have these struggles. Over my years, I've learned to track my time and hold myself accountable. I keep a list for every day, week and month of what's important. ♥ Thanks for the gentle reminders - you are a blessing. 🤗
I feel that you put this message out just for me to hear….i so badly needed to hear this! As someone with ADHD and CPTSD, I often times get overwhelmed and stressed out by the amount of “stuff” I have to do. This is such a great message that I need to simplify my life and prioritize the things that matter most. Thank you for making such amazing videos! 💗
I completely resonate with the process of planning for a room redesign when we're not ready to actually do it or can't afford it. I have many Pinterest boards awaiting realization. It's so easy to get sucked into the research. It's definitely a form of procrastination.
I am really enjoying your last few vlogs. I work outside the home, mom of 4 and homestead. I often have the feeling that I'm not doing a good enough job at any if these, not getting enough done in any place. I fight that constant guilt bc I know deep down, this is a journey and I'll never reach a place where I feel I've accomplished enough in any arena. Your videos are such good reminders that that's not the goal. That's its normal to never have the laundry done or the house actually cleaned up enough, oetc and that it's supposed to be a life long process. And we have to enjoy the process instead of focusing on getting a certain thing accomplished. Thank you
Hey! Don't beat yourself up :) you're the most important person in your children's lives. You're doing the best you can and probably more than other moms and more than you think you are! This might give you hope...guilt is a mean, toxic feeling. I pushed that out of my repertoire long ago and hope you do too! You'll feel better.
We eat sourdough bagels all the time. They are delicious - especially with the everything bagel seasoning. 👍 Thanks for sharing your wisdom - it's all something I needed to hear as I attempt to grow my knitting/crocheting channel. ♥♥♥
"It's important to keep track of the priorities and never work on things that maybe feel easier in that moment but only the things that will move the needle or be the most essential to what you need to accomplish." Brilliant! Thank you for saying this!🙏
I REALLY love that you left the audio of you moving around the kitchen in for this video! I watch your channel, as well as a few other similar channels about homemaking/simple living and I'm always finding that my own home doesn't feel quite as peaceful or idyllic or calm as the videos. It began to make me feel like I was missing something or my mindset wasn't right. But NOPE, it's just the sound! My kitchen gets so LOUD with the sounds of dishes going into the sink and the bowls bumping each other and the sound of frying. Of COURSE it's not gonna feel the same as the videos I watch on RUclips with no sound and relaxing music playing, making everything feel so calm and quiet and relaxed. This video gave me a freaking epiphany, as obvious as it should've been before. So THANK YOU. ❤❤❤
If you have a tile floor, adding a scattering of task rugs around, hanging fabric curtains or honeycomb shades on all the windows, adding a large wooden chopping block or any other large wooden items onto your counter, using wooden bowls, and eliminating excess glass or tile items, can help soften the sound. Just a thought because sometimes the layout and the materials used in a space can make it intolerably loud even when you are just performing simple everyday tasks.
@swisschalet1658 Goodness yes! We have heinous vinyl "wood pattern" flooring and a vaulted ceiling in a horrid open concept floorplan (I despise all of this) so it echoes every little noise. I'm antsy to get curtains and rugs in here to help absorb the sound. I miss carpet and linoleum. And actual ROOMS...
@@katie7748 yes, I'm not a fan of "open concept" either. Sorry, I do not want a television anywhere in eyesight of my kitchen...don't want to see it or hear it. I wish we didn't even have one...but my husband insists. I also don't want the "family room" blending in to the kitchen. Nope.

Lisa, you and your sister are troopers. You guys keep going 😅 I wish I had your energy ❤ do you have any plans to add on to your house? Such as more bedrooms? You've done so much, I remember when you guys put an offer in on this farmhouse. 😊
This would be goals for our fam as we were really expanding on our social media for awhile. When you have a big family people are interested in your life and how you do it! For me it feels like it would be so time consuming to rely solely on content for income.

It is a way for me to prepare for the day, make sure I don’t forget something important and prioritize my todo’s. I am task oriented so checking off the list as it gets done is satisfying.
I can relate to so many things you said. I couldn't help but chuckle when you said something about over cleaning, not having a problem with that. I'm a list maker and a planner, but so many times because I do work outside the home, that my homemaking kind of takes a back seat. Oh I make my own breads, cook my meals all the time, but when I come home mentally exhausted from work, the last thing I want to do is clean my home. My husband helped me last weekend on a few things so now it isn't so overwhelming. Those pork chops look good. One easy way I had been fixing them is to dip in egg and then parmesan cheese and fry in the skillet. So good!
Im so sick with 103 fever and I cant stop looking at the 100s of things I need to be doing but I Just cant 😢 Thank you for your wonderful videos that help me stay calm 😅
Very good video and definitely a reminder to us that are struggling to get ahead. Someone once told me that we need to remember OHIO, Only Handle It Once. Another thing i struggle with. Pick it up, put it down and I'll take care of it later. 😂😂😂 I'm just picking one room at a time to declutter and deep clean and stop letting the other rooms bother me. My son says my problem is that i don't finish something before i start a new job. 16 yrs old and he's spotting this stuff and is so right. 😂😂😂 I'd rather just spend my day's in the kitchen but that can't happen. 😂

I wanted to tell you I get a better rise on my sourdough bread if I put my pan in a cold oven set to 500' for 40 min then then lid off for 10 to 20 min. ❤
Funny you put this out today i was sitting in our master shower cleaning our shower and pulling caulk to put new in. Something i put off all winter...lol
This winter was my first time making your sourdough bagels and my whole family just loves them. They are fantastic! We are in a habit of eating them every Sunday before Mass and the kids look forward to them so much :) Thank you for this recipe.
@@FarmhouseonBoone It is such a great dough recipe. I've been able to experiment with blueberry, cherry and other dried fruits as well. This is genuinely one of those recipes that sparked a lot of motivation and creativity for me and I can't thank you enough :)
I get overwhelmed with all I have to do then I don’t know where to start. I hate starting anything because I have to stop and get my tornado out of a mess😩🤦🏻♀️ Everything you are saying is me 100%.
Just do the next right thing , I was taught to do the most dreaded or the most important to get done job first . It’s helped me many times , I’m 60 years old and almost an empty nester now and I still mostly do it that way .
Thank you for letting God use you to help us be visionaries too. You're so sweet and helpful, and so patient. We love you and your family. Your neighbor from Tn, hee hee!
Lisa, you’re so very right about procrastinating. I can be that person. I wasn’t always like that when much younger. But as I’ve aged I find myself putting things off. Although I do have Fibromyalgia n on bad days nothing gets done. I’ve been wanting to finish up painting my hallway at the door frames. The paint is still sitting in a corner waiting for me. On my good days I prefer to be outside in my yard. I liked how you commented on our email. I’m definitely guilty of that. It maybe days before I conquer it. I truly appreciate in giving this great advice n I’m gonna try to do much better at putting things off. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟
Of course this is for me too! All of us can fall into putting things off...but sometimes if we just get started it unlocks something and before you know it progress has been made....Hang in there.
I really appreciate your video editing. It flows and makes for a relaxing, realistic peak into daily life of a busy mom. It helps me in my own life of a busy mom too!
I’m guilty of collecting knowledge and scrolling as I try to lockdown a room design idea when we aren’t working on that project. I can definitely relate to that.
I find your channel relaxing and inspiring. If only we’d had this when I was young! I love watching you cook, organize, and interact with your family. Greetings from Massachusetts! ❤️
I wish there had been RUclips when I was raising my kids many years ago, it would have been like having a bunch of friends that were all in the same boat and so motivating too.
"making lists to procrastinate actually doing the thing on the list"...ouch! Guilty. Feels productive cause its now organized and out of my head instead of it all floating around up there. However, very rarely does everything on the list ever get done, because of how sidetracked I get by toddler "emergencies" or things that are just more interesting. So ultimately, other than a few loads of laundry, the house is still messy and I feel like I've gotten nothing done. Thanks for the tips
Love watching your videos! I get so hungry when your cooking n baking! You are truly talented at everything! Sewing is something I want to learn how to do. ❤️🙏🌹
I love seeing ur daughter in your videos. Also seeing you folding laundry while holding a baby I was in awe. You're awesome ❤ love your content always something new to learn
Thanks, Lisa! Gentle reminders & encouragement as I want to steward well the life God has blessed me with. I’ll be re-watching this in the days to come
Thank you Lisa for the lovely encouragement! It is so inspiring seeing a mother of a large family so focused and passionate about teaching others. God bless you ❤️
Dear Lisa, you touched some key points mostly all women overthink, over plan and then overwhelmed. Another beautiful video ❤. With love, from Singapore
Getting something done right when I see it can be a double edged sward because if I’m already on my way to get something else done it can throw me off my track and I may even forget the other task 😂
I've made the bagels twice now, and plan for another batch tomorrow. They really are easy! And really taste just like a bagel bought from a bakery- huge hit with my family! If anyone has been hesitating- make them! 😊
@@FarmhouseonBoone All of your recipes I've tried are so forgiving. Like, I forgot about my sourdough during the autolyse for 4 HOURS and forgot to manipulate and stretch it. It still turned out to be a delicious bread and one of my family's favorites. With the pizza dough, I accidently left it for a few hours before remembering to knead it and it was fabulous. I appreciate the flavor so much that, in spite of my attention deficits, it still turns out amazing.
We all have off days. Things happen. I don't make a daily list. Instead, I make a weekly list. I know me well enough to know I dont need to be so confined, lol. However, cleaning as I go, kitchen work, for example, remedies a great deal.
Oh my gosh as soon as I saw the thumbnail I got teary. I feel like I’m always working and never getting it all done. I have 3 daughters who live 800 miles away . One just told me she feels like I never call her. I’m feeling overwhelmed and inefficient.
Where are the kids when you are cleaning up? Outside? In a different room? Are they all together? How do you teach them to stay there and not have another disaster or more to clean?
Whenever Im sleepy, lazy and overwhelmed with chores I go to your channel and watch for a bit. You are a motivation and inspiration. Hello to you and your beautiful family from the Philippines.🥰

Love this video on filling our minds with knowledge and never doing! Hit home hard! 🏵️
I'm just picking one room at a time to declutter and deep clean and stop letting the other rooms bother me. My son says my problem is that i don't finish something before i start a new job. 16 yrs old and he's spotting this stuff and is so right. 😂😂😂
I'd rather just spend my day's in the kitchen but that can't happen. 😂
❤❤❤that was EXCELLENT advice and encouragement to your sis from Vermont living in rural South Australia on a large working farm! Empty nested too!🎉🎉❤❤🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤🕊🙏✝️⬅️🕊🙏✝️⬅️💐🎀💐🎀🧂🔥🧂🔥🧂🔥🧂🔥
Wonderful!
Glad to hear your whole family is enjoying them!
@@FarmhouseonBoone It is such a great dough recipe. I've been able to experiment with blueberry, cherry and other dried fruits as well. This is genuinely one of those recipes that sparked a lot of motivation and creativity for me and I can't thank you enough :)
Great video Lisa! You are spot on all throughout the video and I kind if wondered if you were reading my mind lol!
I get overwhelmed with all I have to do then I don’t know where to start. I hate starting anything because I have to stop and get my tornado out of a mess😩🤦🏻♀️
Everything you are saying is me 100%.
You can do it!!
Just do the next right thing , I was taught to do the most dreaded or the most important to get done job first . It’s helped me many times , I’m 60 years old and almost an empty nester now and I still mostly do it that way .
@@ozarkview928 what happens if they are all dreaded?😂😂
@@LauraS1104 Oh dear 🥲I guess learn to like doing more dreaded stuff 😁
@@ozarkview928 😂😂😂
That food you made in this video looks so delicious 😋Reminds me of my mom and grandma’s cooking 😀❤👍
I totally do procrast-cleaning! Great video to remind us to focus on the things that move the needle. Take care 🌼
Thank you for letting God use you to help us be visionaries too. You're so sweet and helpful, and so patient. We love you and your family. Your neighbor from Tn, hee hee!
Procrast-a-cleaning is my super power!? I thought I was the only person that did this. Glad to know there is a whole tribe of us! 😊
Thank you so much!
I looove your Voice over the Home Life videos. My 3yo and 6yo watch with me and they love seeing your kids helping and playing 😊
Thank you so much!
When you talked about the room dreaming ideas. I do that constantly lol and my whole house now has random paint colors all over them 😅
Love watching your videos!
I’m seriously grateful for your content, Lisa. This was so incredibly timely. Blessings from another Lisa 💛
Thank you so much!
This is a wonderful encouragement!!!
Your youngest is getting so big! Thank you for this video ♥️😊🙏
I know!!
This was of great value to me. Thank you, Lisa! And by the way, those chops looks good! 🎉
This video and message have come at the perfect time for me, Lisa. Thank you!
God bless you ❤️
Thank you so much!
I love your video’s, and you have a beautiful family. I am from the Netherlands.
Thank you so much!
Dear Lisa, you touched some key points mostly all women overthink, over plan and then overwhelmed. Another beautiful video ❤. With love, from Singapore
Thank you so much!
I've just recently made your sourdough pretzel recipe and I love it! Thank you. You've inspired me today to clean up my sewing and craft room. 😊
I do this too! Always dreaming researching, planning, collecting information then I don’t have the time to actually do the project. Good advise.
Getting something done right when I see it can be a double edged sward because if I’m already on my way to get something else done it can throw me off my track and I may even forget the other task 😂
Great job getting things done!!
Lisa, just what I needed to hear. Thank you! Perfect timing!
So glad!
Oh boy, can I relate to a lot of this!! Thank you.
03:00 I feel you sister 😂👍
You are amazing!!! I love your practical advice! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to share your experiences.
I've made the bagels twice now, and plan for another batch tomorrow. They really are easy! And really taste just like a bagel bought from a bakery- huge hit with my family! If anyone has been hesitating- make them! 😊
Love to hear that!
Your sourdough bagels are divine!!! I've made them twice already.
I LOVE to hear that!
Great content and so needed this today, thank you ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m always pretty impressed with you and your husband’s day to day “schedule”. Seems to work well. Food always looks delicious.
Thank you so much!
Good reminders, thanks. Always enjoy your videos 👍🏼
I’m with you sister!
Love to watch you and your sisters in your homes! 🏡
Thank you!
I have never resonated so much with a title of a video. I feel like I’m sooo busy but never getting anything done 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
You can do it!
@@FarmhouseonBoone You and your family are an inspiration and light to this world. I appreciate your content. 😊
I always enjoy your videos.
Glad to hear it!
Always enjoy your videos, love all your recipes, ideas, thoughts, all the things😊
Excellent video
thank you!
So relaxing and beneficial Lisa. This was grest as always. Ty.
So glad!
Another great video! ❤
Thank you 🤗
I'm wondering if you put built in benches along both walls, if you would have more room around your kitchen table.
We have a long bench under the window
We all have off days. Things happen. I don't make a daily list. Instead, I make a weekly list. I know me well enough to know I dont need to be so confined, lol. However, cleaning as I go, kitchen work, for example, remedies a great deal.
Love your channel!! Such an inspiration, God Bless 🙏❤️
Oh my gosh as soon as I saw the thumbnail I got teary. I feel like I’m always working and never getting it all done. I have 3 daughters who live 800 miles away . One just told me she feels like I never call her. I’m feeling overwhelmed and inefficient.
Hang in there...take a deep breath and just do the next thing in front of you.
Dinner looked absolutely amazing 🤗💕
Where are the kids when you are cleaning up? Outside? In a different room? Are they all together? How do you teach them to stay there and not have another disaster or more to clean?
I talk about this in my very first podcast of The Simple Farmhouse Life
@@FarmhouseonBoone Thank you, I will check it out. Such a struggle for me.
