Wow definitely some good hacks to use and especially the Brusho tip. I have never heard of it or used it before. I might need to get a small jar of it. Thanks for sharing this.
i've played with brusho for a few years and it is BOLD so few tutorials with it most have to do with crafting but there is an artist (joane thomas boone- I believe) that uses brusho as watercolor paint and the effects. As always I am learning from so many!!
These are all such great tips, Rachel, thank you for spending the time to do this for us! I LOVE Brusho and I hope to use it a lot more on my channel in the future (so much to do, so little time). I love all your grass tips, and I especially love the puppy Golden Retriever painting. ❤️
very few tutorials on you tube most have to do with the background on crafting effects however their is one artist who uses it as a medium - boone - I believe. I painted a whole painting as she does and it was BOLD
At our last Watercolor Club meeting a friend demonstrated Brusho. She suggested (and had done) putting a tiny hole in the cap to sprinkle instead of using our fingers. I haven't bought any yet, but will.. LOVE your videos!! Animals are my thing too!!!
So glad I found such a talented painter. Love your style of teaching too. I love how quickly you get to the point with lots of great advice!

Some finished works would also help to understand how these techniques actually look
I agree!
@@rachelparkervarner thanks . Your videos are quite helpful. I liked the fuzzy bunny one a lot. Already saved it in playlist. Keep sharing
Thanks! Nearly all the rest of my African animals will be in grass!
Haha smart!
# 3 is called a Comb because it looks like a Hair Comb!!! Not a whisp brush!
They go by many names - whisp, grainer, rake - never heard comb but that makes sense too!
