    • @marylouisewood7551
      @marylouisewood7551 3 часа назад

      @@davidkavanagh189 there are many possible reasons ... Men who don't live within the 30 km radius that most of the perps lived in, including visitors from other countries, photos not found in the local mugshot files (not already in the criminal database), and even in cases where the faces are not that clear, people can also be identified by voice, distinguishing marks as well as body language. People have " tells". I didn't assume that all "photos" would be clear but was thinking outside the box. Perhaps not all of the perps would be identified through that kind of initiative but do think is is worth trying. Furthermore it would send a message that the hunt for the other perps is not over just because this trial is over.

    • @marylouisewood7551
      @marylouisewood7551 2 часа назад

      @@davidkavanagh189 actually I am not assuming anything. There are many possible reasons why local authorities could not identify the other perps (men living outside of the 30km radius where most of the perps lived, no previous criminal convictions (locally) so no mug shots on file, men visiting from other countries to name a few. It is interesting how cases can be solved when law enforcement agencies share information. Even in cases where faces might not be that clear, people can be identified by body shape size, distinguishing marks, mannerisms, voice (if video clips are shared). People have "tells". Someone somewhere knows these other perps and could possibly identify them. In my opinion, it is worth trying. Additionally, it sends a greater message (s) ...that just because this trial is over, there is an ongoing search for the other perps, that it matters and that it will not be forgotten and will be pursued by the law.

      In the UK, he'd get a life sentence. The starting tariff, with some extenuating circumstances, would be 25 years minimum, for multiple rapes, but in this case, I'd imagine he'd get at least 40 years. That's a MINIMUM before he can get parole, and because he's 72 years of age, he'd definitely leave prison in a box.

This is not just a moral failing-it is a deep spiritual and mental sickness. A comprehensive societal re-education is needed to eradicate this behavior and mindset toward women. We must transform our media, movies, TV, art, workplaces, literature, schools, homes, and personal relationships to reflect a higher standard of humanity, equality, compassion, and respect for both women and men.
    A tremendous amount of respect goes to Gisèle Pelicot for her courage, bravery, and strength. She is truly an icon in the fight for change, bringing this issue out of the shadows and into the light, where it deserves much-needed attention and discourse.

      She didn't know she was rapped the last 10 years. One day, her husband was filming with hidden camera under women shorts in a shop. The security arrested him and called the police. He was arrested and in jail. During the investigation, police went at Pelicot's house and took husband's computer. And police discovered all the videos of the rapped (she was inconscious bescause her husband drugged her). Police told Gisele she was rapped the last 10years (during the 10 years, she went many many times to hopistal to understand what is happening to her, but doctors never checked her blood...) : a brief resume of the facts

    Why is the UK spending 46 Million on yet another statue / monument for Queen Elizabeth? When are the monuments / praise for woman like Gisele and others that have done so much more for woman kind and their protection.
    Isnt it about time unappreciated heroes and charity workers get a statue or monument after them? A recognition of women that make huge sacrifices for the greater good.

      i mean making a monument of a french woman because she was rap.ed is a bit weird don't you think? she should be spoken about and recognised yes but monument is not appropriate.

      There is a long explanation that is required to my deeper point which is that many women go unknown and unappreciated - despite doing great brave things. A tribute of all those women that faced so much challenge, adversity and trauma yet still fought for change is more ' monumental' than a woman who happened to be born into great wealth & power & was waited on hand and foot her entire life. And let's face it, waved & smiled, looked cute as she aged in her hat - but did nothing for equality, transparency, liberty & fairness for women suffering all over the world.
      You of course can have your own opinions about what qualities in a woman / person should be revered.

      I mean, there's statues of colonists who committed crimes such as murder, rape, terror and so on. ( At least in the US )
      So a statue of Gisèle for individuals and children who were forced to think like adults because they were assaulted, sounds like hope to me
      I am a child survivor myself and everything Gisèle has said and expressed has impacted me for the better 🌍💙
