Bp members are not vocally impressive singers but they do have a unique tone which is make sense for YG artists (YG likes a unique vocalist not a powerhouse singer). I’m a mooblink but Who the hell would compare Blackpink to Mamamoo in terms of singing?💀🥲 3 of Mamamoo members can easily beat the main vocalist of bp in terms of singing but I would say that bp will beat mmm when it comes to rapping. oh yeah, "a little bit" is also known as "sting" and it's got a moonbyul segment when they performed it live... i wanted to say it was an ost, which is why no byul, but checked and it's not actually one... just really, really sounds like one "freakin' shoes" is pretty hilarious, esp when you check out the lyrics. but even more hilarious if you can manage to find the original choreography they created for it back in the day (sadly, the video is hard to find). they actually had multiple pairs of shoes set up and swapped between pairs as they performed. they only did it the one time as a performance evaluation, i believe. but the choreography they used when they performed the song onstage is just all kinds of sassy

I was getting some 70's Pointer Sisters vibes from the funky songs, such as How Long (Betcha Got a Chick On the Side). Hwasa wrote the lyrics for Funky Shoes, which is one of the songs folks point to when they say Mamamoo can write a song about anything. lol A Little Bit is aka Sting and is one of older moomoos' favorite b-sides. This is a really interesting album to look back on cuz imo it projects backwards and forwards in time. You can hear their stylistic and vocal influences from the past as well as hints of where their voices and vocal arrangements were headed. It would be fascinating to hear how these songs would sound these days if they did a Pink Funky session with updated arrangements.
iirc, MB's verse in 'No No No' was inspired by a past breakup.. her verse is pretty much a diss at her ex-bf the whole track is pretty much a flex on an ex.. funky Mamamoo is my fav mamamoo honestly.. just like u said, their voices and overall style fits perfectly for it.. for me, they're in their full element and fully styling and grooving with such tracks.. so it's quite a blast.. but yeah.. I can see that kinda funk not being everyone's vibe since it's a bit of a niche.. kinda feel sad for those who don't enjoy it.. but it is what it is.. at least I knew sting and self-camera would definitely be ur jam, there's so many timeless pieces in this album.. xD

Also i know you're not a OST ballad person but i think wheein OST are worth a listen, she 's just too good. It's not my kind of song but wheein makes it work perfectly.
