Hi, I don't resin or varnish it. Use branded gold leaf from monalisa brand. They last long

No. I don't seal goldleaf. I keep it as it is.

Don’t you need some glue to hold the leaves .? And to seal it with something to keep the leaves safe ?
Hi, here paint was too wet so we can apply Gold leaves without any glue. If the paint is super dry we have to apply gold leaf glue to hold the leaves. And I don't use any sealer as of now.. I keep as its

Silver and gold leaf mix
You can't use aluminum foil. It's too heavy for this type of use. You gotta use special silver sheets for it.
