Learned a lot from this video, using the cnc to make a template and cutting only deep enough to be able to use a flush bit to finish after the jigsaw cut, thumbs up for sure!

AMAZING!!! I had been researching how to make these table legs myself and I'm so grateful that you made this video!

I would use the CNC to cut the part out and clean up tabs only, also a lot deeper cut and faster feed rate

Great work and video! It's always interesting to see how you come up with different solutions to complete the build. I like the observer and maker video perspectives, too. It makes for a fun to watch video.

Great video, very professional woodworking and video production. I have a glass top but no base. Have kept the top for years but now ready to give making the base a go. Can I buy off you a digital plan for the base so I can take to a CNC supplier that can cut me a template. I am in Australia. Thanks

Thank you so much for the well produced video and thoughtful workflow ideas. I am thinking of buying the X-carve pro myself after playing around with the small one.I was wondering about two things in the video: Wouldn't it be faster having the CNC cut out the table top shape all there way rather than using the jigsaw and flush cut router setup? Same with the legs? Wouldn't the X-carve be faster? Also I was wondering if you could tell me how you exported your Sketchup design into Easel. I used the Face svg extension in the past, but the dpi settings on Sketchup and Easel are different and I had to scale in Easel, which wasn't precise. Also somehow I ended up with some slightly oval circles...

Hello, Thanks a lot for checking out the video. I definitely could have let the CNC cut the entire piece, but I think it is actually quicker to just let it define the shape and then finish it with a hand router. Also, I don't think I had a long enough bit to cut through the entire thickness. I use a plug-in called FlightOfIdeas for SVG export. It is a plug-in that someone has modified a bit from the version that is available in the extension warehouse. I am happy to share it with you, but it only works with Sketchup 2017 which is what I use. Let me know if you're interested. Also, If you do make a purchase from Inventables, I would really appreciate it if you used my affiliate link. I have added it to the description of the coffee table video. It can help support the channel.
Thanks a lot and let me know if you're interested in the SVG plug-in.
      Joe-

Thank you for clarifying.Yes, I will certainly try to use your link if I end up buying the tool. I am planning to use it mostly to manufacture structural cabinet boxes with lots of holes. The typical Euro style base cabinet box has ninety two 5mm holes. I have read that CNC's are not very good at drilling small holes, so I am still not sure if the XCarve Pro is going to work out for my business. I still have a copy of Sketchup17, so yes, the link would be great.
